Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causes of the distance between steps abnormality on the Boarding Lounge Gate E3 Terminal 2 escalator at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and to find out the steps that must be implemented in overcoming this problem. The research methodology used is a qualitative method in which the author collects data through field research (field research) of the object under study to obtain the required data. Data collection techniques using 3 methods, namely: observation method, interview method, and documentation method. The results of this study were found to be abnormal conditions in the step distance on the escalator Boarding Lounge Gate E3 Terminal 2. Based on the Elevator and Escalator Test Module of The Public Works Department the normal step distance is 4-5 mm. Meanwhile, based on case studies in the field, the results were 7.93 and 13.79 mm.

Abstract

Ahmad Yani International Airport has a Baggage Handling System which is a conveyor that has an automatic system to transport luggage from the check-in counter to the plane or from the plane to the passenger. However lack of response time when the emergency stop is pressed which can result in baggage accumulation and overload on the motor, without an emergency stop indicator and the number of emergency stop push buttons is more than one, making it difficult for technicians and takes a lot of time to find a pressed emergency stop. To be effective, it is necessary to design an emergency stop light indicator. By adding wiring that is connected to each emergency stop to provide input to the emergency stop lamp so as not to manually search for the emergency stop button that is pressed

Abstract

odification of the manual or pull starter on the alkon pump to an electric starter using a dynamo starter aims to increase time efficiency related to measuring runway roughness. One time runway roughness measurement is given a time allocation of 1 hour by ATC. For every 1 measurement, there is a test standard, namely a minimum of 8 tests around the runway. In existing conditions, filling water into the tank can only be used for 1 test and the on/off button on the pump must be pressed manually which takes more time because the operator has to get in and out of the car so the operating duration is long. Abstract

This journal aims to explore the potential utilization of cooling tower blowdown water as a source of make-up water for cooling towers at Yogyakarta International Airport. Currently, the cooling tower work system at the airport relies on water supply from STP and PDAM as an alternative source. However, the use of PDAM water can be reduced by utilizing cooling tower blowdown water which is currently discharged into the canal. In this journal, the writing team will analyze the quality of the resulting cooling tower blowdown water, including the level of contamination and water quality parameters. The methods used include water sampling, water measurement, and water treatment system design. It is hoped that by utilizing cooling tower blowdown water as a make-up supply for cooling towers, it is expected to save PDAM water use, reduce wasted waste, and increase water use efficiency.

Abstract

Maintenance and Test Running are important activities in maintaining the performance and reliability of the wheel tractor. To facilitate the daily reporting process for Maintenance and Test Running, an efficient and practical system is needed. Therefore, in this study, optimization of making daily reports was carried out using the Quick Response (QR) code connected to Google Form. This research is expected to increase efficiency in preparing Maintenance and Test Running daily reports on wheel tractors. The QR code system connected to Google Form can be used as a practical solution to reduce the time and effort required in the reporting process. Thus, maintenance and testing of wheel tractors can be carried out more efficiently and accurately, thereby increasing the performance and reliability of the equipment.

Abstract

Motor induksi adalah motor bertenaga listrik arus AC atau bolak balik yang dapat digunakan di industri penerbangan. Motor induksi satu fasa dan tiga fasa adalah jenis motor induksi yang paling umum. Karena harganya yang terjangkau dan sangat efektif, motor induksi 3 fasa banyak digunakan di industri. Abstract

Cakrabhuwana Airport Cirebon is a Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) formed based on the Decree of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia number KM 166 of 2019 concerning the National Airport Order which has the task of serving civil aviation. Cakrabhuwana Airport has a source of clean water that comes from the ground / well, besides that Cakrabhuwana Airport also uses PDAM water as a clean water supply which is only distributed specifically to the terminal. Water from wells / soil is used to support flight activities, but the water obtained from the well / soil is not optimal because the color of the water is still found yellow and not clear. After measuring the PH of water in each airport unit, it was found that the condition of the water in the electricity unit was still below the normal standard of clean water. To overcome this problem, the authors designed a simple reverse osmosis device in the form of a prototype that is used to convert the pH of substandard water into normal PH of clean water

Abstract

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Cengkareng has an automatic sliding door as supporting equipment for public facilities located in terminals and non-terminals. In the automatic sliding door located in the terminal 2 kalayang shelter, experiencing a slow motion system. It can be seen when there is an object / object passing through the automatic sliding door, what happens to the automatic sliding door itself experiences slow movement when opening and closing, it is feared that the object / object that passes through can be pinched by the automatic sliding door. Therefore it is necessary to find what causes the motion system to experience slow movement when opening and closing the automatic sliding door, so that the automatic sliding door can be operated normally without disturbing the comfort and safety of passengers. Factors that are indicative of the automatic sliding door are caused by mechanical factors. In mechanical factors there are, roller hanger that has been worn, v-belt that has eroded / changed shape, and glass leaves that are not symmetrical

Abstract

Baggage control is a critical process in airport operations to ensure the efficient handling and tracking of passenger luggage. The engineering of baggage control at the departure department check-in counter involves the design and implementation of various components and systems. These include baggage conveyor belts, baggage scanning and screening systems, baggage handling software, and integration with airline and airport systems. The baggage conveyor system is a crucial component that transports checked-in luggage from the check-in counter to the sorting area. It consists of a network of belts, rollers, and automated diverters to route the bags to the appropriate destinations. The engineering design of the conveyor system ensures smooth and efficient movement of baggage, minimizing the risk of jams or delays. In conclusion, the engineering of baggage control at the departure department check-in counter of Terminal 2 at Soekarno-Hatta Cengkareng International Airport involves the design, implementation and integration of various systems, technologies and procedures. These engineering efforts aim to ensure the efficient and secure handling of passenger luggage, enhancing the overall airport experience for travelers

Abstract

An automatic door is a type of door that operates without manual intervention and can open by sliding (sliding door), swinging open (swing door), or rolling up (rolling door). While automatic doors may not seem significant compared to other types of equipment, they play an important role, particularly as a barrier between secure areas and public spaces. Upon observation, it has been noted that some automatic doors do not have a mechanical locking system in place, or are only equipped with a motorized locking system, making it possible to force the door open with bare hands. This presents a security risk, as unauthorized access to restricted areas, such as those in airports, can lead to illegal activities such as smuggling, theft, and sabotage. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that the locking system of automatic doors functions optimally to prevent such security breaches
