Abstract

This study aims to analyse the impact of foreign direct investment, exports, the human development index, technology, and corruption on economic growth in ASEAN. This quantitative analysis employs panel data regression to identify the variables affecting economic growth in ASEAN. This study encompasses ten ASEAN countries: Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Laos, covering the period from 2010 to 2023. This study's results demonstrate that foreign direct investment, exports, the human development index, and technology significantly and positively influence economic growth in ASEAN. Corruption does not significantly impede economic growth within ASEAN. The variables of foreign direct investment, exports, the human development index, technology, and corruption collectively exert a significant influence on economic growth in ASEAN. This study introduces technology as a significant influencing variable. The ASEAN government persists in upholding stability and enhancing the national economy. The government must implement decisive measures in state security and enhance transparency to prevent an increase in state corruption. Further research should focus on broadening the variables associated with economic growth and employing diverse methodologies.

Abstract

Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) as one of the largest Islamic banks in Indonesia has a great opportunity to increase non-interest income or Fee Based Income (FBI) by optimizing sukuk sales, especially to priority customer segments. The purpose of this research is to provide funding sources that are in accordance with sharia principles, support economic development, and offer investment alternatives for people who want halal financial products. Using a qualitative approach with the SWOT analysis method. The results of this study indicate that optimization of sukuk sales has a significant contribution to increasing Fee Based Income (FBI) at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), especially in the priority customer segment in the Malang Area. However, the effectiveness of sukuk marketing strategies is still not optimal with the low understanding of priority customers regarding the benefits of sukuk investment as a sharia financial product, lack of training and competence of marketing staff in conveying the advantages of sukuk comprehensively, marketing strategies that have not been segmented properly, so they do not match the characteristics and needs of priority customers, accessibility of sukuk services digitally is not optimal, which has an impact on the convenience and ease of transactions for customers.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the reality of accountability of the LMDH Wono Lestari forestry partnership and criticize the practices that occur from Habermas' perspective. This research uses a qualitative method of critical paradigm case study. The research site is at LMDH Wono Lestari, Burno Village, Lumajang Regency. Informants consisted of representatives of the new LMDH management, old LMDH members, Perum Perhutani employees, agricultural commodity offtakers, and the community. Data analysis uses Jurgen Habermas' critical perspective. Accountability practices such as transparency and LMDH functions do not work. Likewise, there is low member participation, lack of management participation, and work plans that are not running well. The above causes internal and external conflicts for LMDH. It is necessary to update regulations and clarify the profit-sharing mechanism regarding the Forestry Partnership between LMDH Wono Lestari and Perum Perhutani in terms of accountability and transparency, such as the involvement of the Village Government as a partnership supervisor, as well as instilling honesty and expecting blessings from the Forestry Partnership.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the direct and indirect effects of discounts, free shipping, and cash on delivery (COD) on consumer choices. Shopee users in Madiun, specifically at the Alurwah Moslemwear store, were the subjects of the study. The research sample consisted of 385 respondents. This study used SmartPLS version 4.0 for quantitative data processing. The results show that COD significantly and positively influences consumer purchasing decisions. Free shipping and discounts have an insignificant and negative effect on consumer purchasing decisions. Furthermore, the results indicate that these variables also have a direct effect on purchasing decisions. These promotional strategies encourage consumers to complete transactions by reducing costs and perceived risks, thus increasing purchasing decisions. Furthermore, the results indicate that only one variable has a direct effect, indicating the purchasing decision process. The other variables do not affect purchasing decisions. This study highlights the importance for online sellers, especially on e-commerce platforms like Shopee, to offer cash on delivery (COD) services to increase purchasing decisions. Despite offering attractive discounts and free shipping options, the Alurwah Muslim Clothing Store must provide more attractive strategies for customers. Sales must prioritize these factors in their marketing strategy.
