Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors influencing fraudulent financial reporting (FFR) in healthcare sector companies in ASEAN using the Fraud Hexagon Theory. The sample consists of 166 healthcare companies listed on stock exchanges in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines for the period 2022–2023. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS 25. The results show that financial stability and company existence have a negative and significant effect on FFR, while ineffective monitoring and auditor change have a positive and significant effect. Meanwhile, financial targets, external pressure, director change, and project with government have no significant effect. Simultaneously, all variables in the Fraud Hexagon Theory significantly influence FFR. These findings imply that companies with effective supervision and consistent stability are less likely to engage in fraudulent reporting. The research is limited to the healthcare sector during 2022–2023 and may not generalize to other industries or periods.

Abstract

This study is to analyze the effect of training on the productivity of tempeh chips MSMEs in the Malang City Sanan Center and the role of social capital as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design on 83 MSME actors selected through simple random sampling, with data collection using questionnaires and partial least square (pls) analysis. The results of the study show that training has a significant effect on the productivity of MSMEs, both directly and through strengthening social capital, where trust, norms, networks, and mutual relationships play a role in strengthening the impact of training. This study shows that increasing the productivity of MSMEs is not enough only through technical training, but needs to be integrated with efforts to strengthen social capital so that business actors are able to optimize production, marketing, and technology processes in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of ecolabelling on college students' purchasing decisions for ecologically friendly paper products in Palembang City, with green brand awareness serving as a mediating variable. The applied methodology is quantitative, involving purposive sample approaches with 100 respondents who have previously purchased go green labeled paper. We employed SEM-PLS to examine the correlations among the variables in the data analysis. The research findings demonstrate that ecolabelling does not directly affect purchase decisions; yet, it significantly influences them through green brand awareness, indicating a total mediation effect. The findings indicate that eco-friendly labels are beneficial only when customers comprehend the significance of brand sustainability. This research highlights the need for corporations to augment education on ecolabels and to elevate environmental literacy via more informed and pertinent communication methods directed at the younger generation. Theoretically, this research reinforces signaling theory and green marketing theory within the context of environmentally conscious consumer behavior.

Abstract

The growth of the digital economy in Indonesia has created significant opportunities for international brands to expand their market share. However, the success of global brands is not only determined by product quality but also by their ability to understand local cultural values and communicate effectively in a multilingual context. This study aims to analyze the influence of intercultural understanding on international consumer trust in Indonesia. The approach used is explanatory quantitative, with a survey method involving 200 respondents who have purchased international brands in Indonesia. The data was analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results indicate that intercultural understanding has a positive and significant effect on international consumer trust. Similarly, a multilingual branding strategy has a positive effect on consumer trust. Furthermore, the moderation results indicate that a multilingual branding strategy strengthens the relationship between intercultural understanding and consumer trust. These findings confirm that a combination of cultural sensitivity and multilingual communication is a key strategy in building consumer trust and loyalty in the Indonesian market. The implications of this research demonstrate the value of cross-cultural adaptation and inclusive communication as the foundation of sustainable global marketing.

Abstract

Mental health is a priority in Indonesia’s development, yet primary care faces significant human resource (HR) challenges. In Sukabumi City, 2024 service coverage for severe mental disorders (ODGJ) reached 95.9%, falling short of the 100% Minimum Service Standard (SPM). This qualitative case study evaluates manager performance and formulates HR development strategies using the Miles and Huberman framework alongside IFAS, EFAS, and SWOT analysis. The study concludes that Sukabumi occupies an Aggressive-Growth (Quadrant I) position. While performance is currently hindered by internal structural bottlenecks—notably an 80% dual-role burden and clinical competency gaps—these are outweighed by strong internal commitment and significant external opportunities, such as Mayor’s Regulation No. 126/2025. To bridge the performance gap, the study recommends a strategic HRD roadmap: formalizing the Community Mental Health Task Force (TPKJM) at the sub-district level to redistribute workloads, implementing SKKNI-based certified training, and optimizing the SIMKESWA platform for digital monitoring. Transitioning from fragmented, multi-tasking roles to a specialized, competency-based system is essential. By integrating these strategies, Sukabumi City can transform program officers into strategic coordinators, ensuring the sustainable achievement of the 100% national mental health mandate.

Abstract

This study investigates the predictors of turnover intention among micro-coffee shop employees during economic turbulence, focusing on the roles of work–life balance and Smart Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Algorithms (STARA) awareness. Utilizing an explanatory quantitative design, data were collected from 399 frontliner coffee shops in Malang, Indonesia, and analyzed via Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that WLB significantly enhances job satisfaction and mitigates job insecurity. However, WLB has no significant direct effect on turnover intention, its impact is fully mediated by job satisfaction. Additionally, while STARA awareness strongly triggers technology-driven job insecurity, immediate job fears do not significantly affect job satisfaction or turnover intentions due to environmental normalization. Main implications suggest that operators must foster a supportive environment to leverage WLB into actual job satisfaction and invest in frontliner coffee shops upskilling. Research is limited by its cross-sectional data and localized geographic focus.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of external and internal factors on the financial performance of PT Pertamina (Persero) as measured using Return on Asset (ROA). External factors include world oil prices and inflation, while internal factors such as production expenses and total sales. The study used quarterly time series data for the period 2015Q1–2024Q4 with saturated sample technique and analyzed using multiple linear regression of the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) approach, which was preceded by stationariness tests, classical assumptions, and hypothesis testing. The results show that world oil prices and total sales have a significant positive effect on ROA, while inflation and production expenses have a significant negative effect. Simultaneously, all independent variables have a significant effect with a high power to explain the model. These findings confirm that the asset profitability of strategic energy companies is influenced by macroeconomic dynamics and operational efficiency simultaneously. However, the study was limited to the use of specific variables, static OLS approaches, and single objects. Further research is recommended to include additional macroeconomic and structural variables and use dynamic econometric methods or comparative approaches to strengthen the generalization of findings.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impacts of entrepreneurial orientation and social media adoption on business performance, and the mediating role of social media adoption in the context of Generation Z entrepreneurs as new entrants. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey and collected data from 68 Gen Z business owners in East Java, Indonesia. The data were analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results indicate that entrepreneurial orientation has a positive and significant effect on business performance. Similarly, social media adoption is found to significantly enhance business performance. However, the role of social media adoption as a mediating effect was not supported. These findings suggest that while both entrepreneurial orientation and social media adoption are important drivers of performance, social media has not yet functioned as a strategic mechanism linking entrepreneurial behavior to performance outcomes among new entrants. This contributes to the literature by highlighting the role of generational context and suggesting that strategic capabilities in utilizing digital tools are crucial for maximizing business performance.
