Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning motivation and learning environment on student academic achievement at UIN Malang, as well as explore the interaction between the two variables. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 students selected using stratified random sampling technique. The results of the analysis show that learning motivation has a significant positive influence on academic achievement with a regression coefficient of 4.674, while the learning environment also contributes positively with a coefficient of 4.649. In addition, the interaction between learning motivation and learning environment showed a significant moderating effect, albeit with an interaction regression coefficient of -0.064, which suggests that learning environment may reduce the influence of learning motivation in certain contexts. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of creating a conducive learning environment to improve student motivation and academic achievement. This research provides new insights for education managers and educators to design more effective learning strategies, as well as highlighting the need for attention to external factors that influence learning motivation. Thus, this study contributes to the development of science in the field of education, particularly in the context of higher education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research focuses on the role of informal communication in building team cohesion and trust in non-profit organizations. This research explores the mechanisms behind spontaneous and unstructured interactions that support decision-making, conflict resolution, and collective performance. This topic is relevant in the era of dynamic work, where the success of organizations increasingly depends on interpersonal relationships and cross-functional collaboration. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach involving in-depth interviews, direct observation, and internal document analysis. Data was collected from team members with diverse roles and experiences, including project managers, field coordinators, administrative staff, and senior volunteers. The analysis process includes data reduction, presentation of data in thematic matrices, and verification through source triangulation. This approach provides an in-depth understanding of the dynamics that affect team cohesion and collective trust. The results show that informal communication increases team trust and cohesion. Team members who frequently engage in spontaneous conversations show a better understanding of common goals, can better resolve conflicts, and show higher trust. Well-documented organizational documents also help reinforce successful work patterns, ensuring the continuity of best practices. The implications of this study include the importance of creating a work environment that encourages informal communication and makes strategic use of organizational documentation. The study provides relevant insights for developing collaboration strategies in the workplace and offers a foundation for further research on interpersonal dynamics in organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect prospective students' decision to choose a campus and identify management strategies that can optimize student admissions at STAI Al-Muntahy. The research method used was a mixed method with an explanatory sequential design. Survey and interview data collection techniques. Surveys are used to measure public awareness and interest in institutions. Meanwhile, interviews are used to explain further from the survey results obtained. The findings of this study show several main factors that affect their decision, such as relevant study programs, affordable education costs, and the quality of academic and non-academic services. In addition, innovative, data-based promotions and strengthening the campus's external network also play an important role in attracting the interest of prospective students. The results of this study lead to five main strategies that can be applied to increase new student admissions, namely: (1) more flexible adjustment of education fees, (2) strengthening internal organizations and external campus networks, (3) more targeted and data-driven promotions, (4) improving the quality of academic and non-academic services, and (5) increasing the involvement of alums and the surrounding community. Implementing these strategies is expected to strengthen the image of the campus, increase student satisfaction, and increase the number of new student registrations in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of digital systems in personnel management in regional educational institutions, focusing on the organizational adaptation process and the challenges faced during the transition from manual to digital systems. Using a qualitative approach of case studies, data were collected through direct observation, semi-structured interviews with staff, and internal agency documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of applications such as SIMPEG and Srikandi has significantly changed the pattern of personnel services, especially in digital archiving, online leave applications, and employee data validation. However, digitalization also faces various obstacles, ranging from limited networks and upload capacity to digital literacy gaps between generations of employees. Emerging adaptation strategies include intergenerational collaboration, informal mentoring, and the use of dual technologies (cloud and local devices) to anticipate systemic constraints. This study shows that the success of staffing digitization depends not only on infrastructure but also on the readiness of work culture, internal collaboration, and responsive strategies of bureaucratic actors. These findings make a theoretical contribution to the study of digital transformation in the public sector and have practical implications for local governments in designing inclusive and sustainable digitalization policies.

Abstract

This study investigated the relationship between environmental factors and student academic achievement in public high schools in Kwara State, Nigeria. The background of this study is the low national exam results and the need to understand the influence of class sizes, school facilities, peer interaction, and parental involvement on learning outcomes. This study uses a correlational type descriptive survey design with a sample of 300 students from 20 schools selected in stages. The instruments used include questionnaires on environmental factors and proforma WAEC exam results in Mathematics and English subjects (2019–2023). Data analysis was carried out with descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that students' academic achievement in the two core subjects was relatively high. There is a positive and significant relationship between environmental factors—especially class sizes and school facilities—and students' academic achievement. This study emphasizes the importance of conducive learning conditions, adequate educational facilities, and optimal class sizes in supporting academic success. It is recommended that policymakers and education stakeholders give priority to improving environmental aspects to support sustainable learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the role of digital leadership in strengthening institutional competitiveness within higher education institutions. The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged universities to integrate digital systems into academic governance and service delivery, requiring leadership that is capable of guiding digital transformation strategically and responsibly. This research aims to explore how digital leadership contributes to institutional development through the understanding of digitalization, the implementation of digital strategies within the Tri Dharma of higher education, and the ethical governance of digital technologies. A qualitative case study approach was employed at IAIN Lhokseumawe to gain an in-depth understanding of leadership practices related to digital transformation. The findings reveal that leadership awareness of digitalization plays a crucial role in shaping institutional policies and strategies for the development of digital platforms. Digital initiatives have been integrated into various academic activities, including learning management, research administration, and community engagement programs. In addition, ethical leadership emerges as an important element in ensuring that digital technologies are implemented in a manner that emphasizes transparency, accountability, and equitable access. These findings highlight that digital leadership serves as a strategic mechanism for improving institutional coordination, enhancing academic services, and supporting the competitiveness of higher education institutions in an increasingly digital academic environment.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has fundamentally transformed the landscape of education globally, including Islamic educational institutions. This study examines the management challenges and transformative strategies associated with implementing hybrid learning in Islamic education during the digital age. Employing a systematic literature review methodology, this research synthesizes findings from 25 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2018 and 2024. The study identifies three primary categories of challenge: the tension between technology integration and the preservation of classical pedagogical traditions (tarbiyah and ta'lim), inadequate digital infrastructure in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and madrasah, and the limited digital literacy among educators and religious scholars (ustadz/ustadzah). Findings reveal that transformative management solutions encompass the adoption of blended Islamic curriculum frameworks, digital leadership capacity building for school administrators, and the strategic integration of e-learning platforms with traditional halaqah and kitab learning methods. The study concludes that hybrid learning, when managed through an Islamic educational management lens, can enhance both academic outcomes and the spiritual-moral formation of students. Institutional policy reforms, collaborative stakeholder engagement, and value-aligned technology adoption are proposed as pillars of sustainable hybrid learning management in Islamic educational contexts.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed educational systems, including traditional Islamic institutions such as pesantren. This study aims to analyze the reconstruction of kyai leadership in strengthening the quality of pesantren in the era of digital disruption. A qualitative approach was employed using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, drawing on relevant scholarly sources published within the last decade. Data were analyzed using thematic and content analysis to identify key patterns, challenges, and leadership transformations within the pesantren context. The findings reveal that kyai leadership is shifting from a predominantly centralized and traditional model toward a more adaptive and integrative approach. Major challenges include limited digital infrastructure and low levels of digital literacy among educators and students. At the same time, kyai are increasingly assuming roles as agents of transformation who promote technology-based educational innovation. This study proposes a conceptual model of Digital Kyai Leadership, integrating spiritual, transformational, digital, and collaborative dimensions as a strategic framework for enhancing pesantren quality. The findings underscore the importance of value-based and adaptive leadership in bridging Islamic traditions with contemporary educational demands. This study contributes to the development of Islamic education management and provides practical insights for strengthening pesantren leadership in the digital era.

Abstract

The integration of digital technology into Islamic education has created new opportunities for enhancing students’ religious literacy while simultaneously presenting challenges related to the management of learning processes. This study examines how digital-based learning is strategically managed in a madrasah located in North Lampung, Indonesia, with a particular focus on its role in fostering critical and contextual understanding of Islamic teachings. Employing a qualitative case study design, the research explores institutional planning, classroom implementation, and evaluative practices as interconnected processes shaping digital learning. The findings reveal that digital learning is most effective when supported by structured management, where leadership plays a central role in aligning technological use with educational objectives. In classroom practices, digital media facilitates more interactive and participatory learning, enabling students to engage with religious content beyond rote memorization. Furthermore, evaluative practices emphasize students’ ability to interpret, relate, and critically respond to Islamic teachings in contemporary contexts. The study highlights that digital learning, when systematically managed, contributes not only to improved access to knowledge but also to the development of deeper and more reflective understanding. These findings underscore the importance of integrating managerial strategies with pedagogical practices to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of digital learning in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of collaborative leadership in improving the quality of education in public elementary schools. The background of this research highlights the growing need for effective school leadership, especially in rural areas, to address challenges in educational quality. The study adopted a qualitative case study approach, utilizing desk reviews, observations, and semi-structured interviews with school leaders, teachers, parents, and students to collect data. The findings show that implementing collaborative leadership has led to a more effective decision-making process, fostering a sense of ownership and commitment to educational goals among all stakeholders. Effective communication within the school community was also identified as an important factor in improving leadership practices and ensuring alignment between teachers, parents, and students. Parental involvement in school decision-making and activities significantly contributes to student success, emphasizing the importance of collaboration outside of the classroom. The study further shows that this leadership model has fostered a more inclusive and supportive school culture, improving teaching effectiveness and student outcomes. This research offers implications for understanding collaborative leadership in Indonesian primary schools, a relatively underexplored context.
