This study focuses on the influence of infrastructure management and teacher teaching quality on student engagement and its impact on student competence in Vocational High Schools (SMK). The main objective of this study is to analyze how the two factors work synergistically in improving student engagement and their competence. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an ex post facto type, where data is collected through a questionnaire distributed to 177 grade XI students majoring in Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering at several vocational schools in Salatiga. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the causal relationship between the variables studied. The results show that the management of infrastructure facilities and the quality of teachers' teaching have a significant effect on student engagement, which in turn improves their competence. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of a holistic approach in education management, where school managers must pay balanced attention between improving the quality of teaching and managing infrastructure facilities to create an optimal learning environment.

This study aims to analyze the leadership role of Salaf Islamic boarding school caregivers in facing the challenges of educational modernization, including the development of physical and digital infrastructure and the management of internal resistance. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews with patient caregivers, teachers, staff, and students. The results of the study show that the leadership of caregivers who adopt a hybrid model, combining traditional values with modern innovations, can improve the quality of education and the competitiveness of graduates. The use of e-learning platforms and library digitization enhance the access and quality of student learning, while the development of adequate physical infrastructure creates a conducive learning environment. Internal resistance can be minimized through a dialogical and inclusive approach, which creates consensus and acceptance of change. Continuous evaluation ensures the effectiveness of the modernization programs implemented. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of adaptive and inclusive leadership in the face of change, as well as the need for technology integration in pesantren education to maintain relevance and quality in the modern era. This research makes a significant contribution to leadership literature in the context of Islamic education and offers a model that can be adopted by other Islamic boarding schools.

This research focuses on analyzing the effectiveness of academic guidance in supporting students' on-time graduation in higher education. The main objective of this study is to identify the factors that affect the success of academic guidance and how the interaction between academic advisors (DPAs) and students can be optimized to improve on-time graduation. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach, where data is collected through a questionnaire distributed to 31 students of the Education Management Study Program at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta. This research aims to explore the challenges and opportunities in implementing Islamic-based management models in educational institutions in Madura, which are rich in local culture. The main focus of this research is to integrate sharia principles with local customs and culture to create a more effective and harmonious managerial environment. The research methods used include in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and questionnaire surveys, which allow for the collection of qualitative and quantitative data. The research sample consisted of several Islamic educational institutions spread across Madura, with selection based on certain criteria such as the size of the institution and the involvement of local cultural figures. The results show that resistance to change and limited resources are the main obstacles to adopting an Islamic-based management model. However, opportunities such as community involvement in decision-making and innovation in managerial practices can be leveraged to overcome these barriers. The implications of this study show that a collaborative approach involving community leaders and other stakeholders can increase the effectiveness of educational institution management. Additionally, flexibility in policies and training programs that are sensitive to local contexts can increase employee acceptance and satisfaction. This research makes an important contribution to the development of a more adaptive and inclusive Islamic-based institutional management model, which can be applied in various cultural contexts. Further research is recommended to test this model in the long term and at different levels of educational institutions.

This study focuses on the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) in Islamic Education Institutions (LPI) and aims to identify the main challenges faced as well as the key factors that can improve the effectiveness of SPMI implementation in these institutions. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, where data is collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis from two LPIs in Yogyakarta. The results show that the gap between SPMI implementation policies and practices in LPI is mostly due to limited resources and low commitment from stakeholders. In addition, strong leadership and continuous support have proven to be important factors in building a sustainable quality culture. The implications of this study emphasize the need for a more holistic management strategy and adequate resource support to ensure that SPMI can function as an effective tool in improving the quality of education in LPI.
