Abstract

Semantic Studies or ilm dilalah is one of the studies in Arabic language that is used to understand the meaning or meaning of a word, it is also said ilm ma'na, Toshihiko Izutsu is an expert in semantic studies who has his own concept in studying a meaning, especially meaning in the Koran. This study aims to find the meaning or concept of basyar in the Koran using Toshihiko Izutsu's theory, then look for the relationship between this concept and Islamic Education. The research method used is literature review whose data comes from books or references. The results of this study indicate that basyar has 3 conceptual meanings namely Creation, Biology, and Prophethood. And Islamic Education plays a role in regulating and educating basyar from a biological aspect so that they are able to become knowledgeable, faithful and pious human beings like the prophets

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of the assessment of Al-Qur'an learning by using the poetry method. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach using the descriptive-analytical method. The results of this study reveal that the assessments used in tahfidz Qur’an learning with the poetry method are the mid-semester assessment (PTS) and the end-semester assessment (PAS). The form of assessment used is an oral test in the form of a sima’ reading test, verse-connecting test, and a comprehensive test. This assessment is carried out 4 times a year. Students are declared passed when they get a minimum score of B with a minimum score of 81 and vice versa are declared to repeat when they get a C score with a score of 70. This assessment is not only on memorizing the Qur'an but memorizing poems is also assessed by the examiner. The findings in this study indicate that students have quite good abilities when tested using the sima' reading test. Students are lower in their abilities if they are tested by verse-connecting questions. Then students have a very low ability if tested using a comprehensive test.

Abstract

The book used in the teaching activities at the Nimrah Higher Institute of Lamongan is the Arabic “بين يديك سلسلة في تعليم اللغة العربيىة لغير الناطقين بها".” Likewise, in this institute, it included factors in the education process, such as the presence of the educational curriculum, the educational book, and the calendar.  However, in this institute, the level of students’ understanding of the lessons is different, especially in the Arabic language. Some of them are superior to everyone else, and some of them are moderate, and some of them need additional help outside the classroom in order for everyone to understand the lesson.  Therefore, the researcher prepares additional educational materials that help develop the four language skills. As for the research method, it is the developmental method for analyzing and explaining the data and results in the effectiveness of using the educational book. The research is conducted on the design of the pre and post test. As for the result of the research, the preparation of educational materials in teaching the Arabic language at the Namira Higher Institute for Additional Study is well prepared by the researcher, as the additional book goes through many design, arbitration, correction, modification, then field experience, and finally the final production, which is the additional book. The additional book for the development of the four skills at Namira Higher Institute Lamongan is good, as the result of the students after teaching the book is higher than before the education, and that is because the average result of the students in the pre-test is 67.8125%, and when the post-test is in the percentage of 89.625%.  Likewise, the number of "t arithmetic" is greater than the number of "t table", which is 9,156. Depending on those results obtained by the students in the pre and post test, the result of the (t-test), and the result of the questionnaire, it was found that the additional book designed to develop the four language skills at Namira Higher Institute Lamongan is effective.  It has a positive effect on the development of language skills.

Abstract

Arabic language its teachers and intellectuals have been facing difficulties and obstacles for a long time in Nigeria, and these difficulties are often related to their profession, Unfortunately, this language has encountered obstacles that impede its tremendous growth and development, Professional problems are among the most challenges facing many teachers of Arabic and Islamic studies in the country. These challenges started from the Nigerian educational policy, where the Arabic language was placed in third place among the foreign languages used in the country, despite the large number of Muslims and those interested in the Arabic language, This is due to the lackadasical attitude of government towards Arabic and Islamic studies teachers, and for this reason it is difficult for them to compete side by side with their counterparts from other fields in terms of professional development. On that basis, this paper aims to discuss the professional problems and obstacles bedeviling Arabic and Islamic studies teachers in Nigeria, and also intends to bring forward some solutions and way forward to that obstacles.

Abstract

The independent curriculum is an improvement in the education system and is implemented through a driving school program to improve the quality of learning in schools. The research method used is qualitative research. Qualitative research is an approach to conducting research that is oriented towards natural phenomena or symptoms. The results of the research are that every opportunity that exists, there are challenges in it, including: a) Readiness of lecturers and staff, b) Complete infrastructure, c) Sufficient funds, d) Different assessments, e) Mastery of learning technology.

Abstract

The curriculum is a crucial element in the implementation of learning in a school. The curriculum plays a role in determining the direction, purpose, or goals of national education. Without a curriculum, any education system will not be well-executed, and educational goals cannot be optimally achieved. So important is the curriculum to education that the government has made amendments to it ten times. Since 2020 until now, the Ministry of Education and Culture has issued a policy in the form of a curriculum change from the 2013 curriculum to the "Merdeka Belajar" curriculum. The main purpose of these curriculum amendments is to maximize and optimize students' learning outcomes or academic achievements at all levels, from elementary, junior high, senior high/vocational schools, to higher education. This is done by giving students the freedom to choose subjects according to their talents and interests. In light of this, the researcher is interested in conducting a study on the impact of the "Merdeka Belajar" curriculum on students' learning outcomes, to determine whether this curriculum change has a positive or negative effect on students' academic achievements. In this research, the researcher uses a quantitative approach with a correlational analysis method. Data collection instruments include questionnaire completion and data retrieval in the form of the GPA of third-semester students. The researcher's analysis of the questionnaire results and GPA data indicates that the "Merdeka Belajar" curriculum (MBKM) has a significant and positive influence on students' learning outcomes or academic achievements.

Abstract

The direct method is one of the popular language teaching methods that has been passed down through generations. One institution that implements and develops this method is Markaz Arabiyah Pare Kediri, specifically in the Syarqi Tsani class. The application of the direct method in Arabic language learning at this course institution is considered appropriate based on its characteristics and implementation procedures. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, and the objectives of this study are (1) to understand the history and development of the direct method in language learning, (2) to explore the application of the direct method in the Syarqi Tsani class at Markaz Arabiyah Pare Kediri, and (3) to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of the direct method implementation in Arabic language learning at the Syarqi Tsani class of Markaz Arabiyah Pare Kediri. The research findings indicate that (1) the direct method emerged in the early 17th century, (2) the application of the direct method in the Syarqi Tsani class is developed by selecting contemporary themes and supported by a language-rich environment, and (3) supporting factors include student interest and motivation, competent teaching staff, and a highly supportive environment, while inhibiting factors include insufficient supervision in unplanned situations, suboptimal language environment, and occurrences of bilingualism

Abstract

The existence of Pegon letters in various pesantren institutions is needed for the translation of Arabic books into Javanese or Indonesian. This is done to make it easier to read Arabic or translate Arabic. One of the educational institutions that still maintains Pegon writing in its education is Syaichona Moh. Cholil Bangkalan Islamic Boarding School because new students (Santri) have different educational backgrounds. They know Pegon script from their respective homes and those who do not know Pegon script because at home they do not study at Madrasah Diniyah. Al-Qolam is a book written by Ust. Mohammed Tuba. The book is one of the books that is the basis for learning in the basic class (Shifir) at Syaichona Moh. Cholil Bangkalan Islamic Boarding School. The book has been classified to make it easier for new Santri who do not know Pegon writing and Arabic writing in learning. To find this, researchers used qualitative research methods. The targets of this research are teachers and students of the elementary class (Shifir) at the Syaichona Moh. Cholil Islamic Boarding School in Bangkalan. Then to collect data with observation, interview and documentation methods and researchers use data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study include how to use Al-Qolam books in learning to write, so that Arabic is a learning process: the teacher instructs students to memorize the alphabet and Pegon letters, then the teacher teaches the material on the blackboard and students write what the teacher writes. And in the educational process the teacher must multiply the application of the material.

Abstract

Indicators of motivation are extremely important to the learning and teaching process. Motivation is a basic condition for the learner to achieve major educational goals, whether in the acquisition of knowledge, which is a cognitive aspect for the learner, or in the formation of values and attitudes, which is an emotional aspect in the student’s personality, or in the formation of various skills, which is a sensory-motor aspect. . In this research, the researcher wants to know the extent of the relationship between achievement motivation and academic achievement in the Arabic language at this university, especially among female students at Darul Ulum University Banyuanyar Pamekasan. The researcher uses a quantitative correlational type, which is research that aims to determine whether there is a relationship between two variables or several variables, and from the results of the conclusion that the relationship between these two aspects has a low impact, only 12.3% of all aspects that can affect the Academic achievement of female students. among female students at Darul Ulum University Banyuanyar Pamekasan. With a factor of 0.111 using the Pearson product-moment correlation formula
