Abstract

In women who have reached the aging stage, menopause is a physiological condition marked by a decline in estrogen levels. Estrogen deficiency frequently results in symptoms that significantly interfere with women's daily activities and even jeopardize their pleasure at home. In Indonesia, menopause is thought to occur between the ages of 40 and 55 on average. According to World Health Organization projections, the number of women going through menopause is expected to rise from 107 million in 2025 to 373 in 2030, and then to 1.2 billion in 2030. Health education is one way to try to raise awareness about menopause. Increasing the awareness of women between the ages of 45 and 55 about menopause can be accomplished more effectively and appropriately through health education. A literature review methodology was used in the writing of this paper. In the review literature search technique, the search phrases "health education," "menopausal women," and "readiness" were employed. Relevant sources, particularly Pubmed and Google Scholar, provided the information necessary to search for both domestic and international articles. Articles must (1) be published in the five final years (2019–2024), (2) be unique, (3) be completely accessible, and (4) be in either Indonesian or English. Based on the findings from thirty domestic and international periodicals. Twenty-five journals were selected in the initial screening step based on inclusion criteria, abstract, and title. Fifteen publications were found during the second stage of screening, which was based on outcomes and methodologies. Nine national publications that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were discovered during the third screening step. Abstract

Background: Postpartum blues is a common mood disorder affecting postpartum mothers, with potential impacts on maternal mental health and infant development. Early identification using valid and reliable instruments is essential for appropriate management. Objective: This study aimed to examine the validity and reliability of the Postpartum Blues Scale and identify the prevalence and risk factors of postpartum blues among postpartum mothers in the working area of the Health Center in Batam. Methods: A pilot study with a cross-sectional design was conducted on 30 postpartum mothers from January to March 2024. Data were collected using the Postpartum Blues Scale, comprising 32 items across six dimensions, scored on a 0-3 scale. The instrument was evaluated for validity and reliability, and associations between variables were analyzed using appropriate statistical tests. Results: The Postpartum Blues Scale demonstrated good psychometric properties (Cronbach's alpha = 0.89). The overall prevalence of postpartum blues was 70%, with mild (40%), moderate (20%), and severe (10%) symptoms. Significant risk factors included lower educational level (p = 0.032), primiparity (p = 0.041), a cesarean delivery (p = 0.045), and inadequate social support (r = 0.68, p = 0.001). The most prevalent symptoms were excessive fatigue (83.3%), anxiety about the baby's health (80%), and mood swings (76.7%). Conclusion: The Postpartum Blues Scale is a valid and reliable instrument for assessing postpartum blues. The high prevalence and identified risk factors highlight the need for routine screening and targeted interventions in primary healthcare settings.

Abstract

Introduction: Hospital-acquired pressure ulcers (HAPUs) are a significant healthcare issue, leading to physical complications, extended hospital stays, and increased healthcare costs. Preventive measures are crucial for managing this problem. With the growing integration of technology in healthcare, mobile e-book applications and chatbots offer promising tools for improving clinical practice and decision-making. This study evaluates the feasibility of using these technologies in terms of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), focusing on perceived usefulness, ease of use, and intention to use among nurses. Methods: A quantitative research design was employed to assess the perceptions of 30 registered nurses working in a hospital setting. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework guided the measurement of key variables, including perceived usefulness, ease of use, and intention to use. Data were collected through a self-administered online survey and semi-structured interviews. Descriptive statistics and thematic analysis were used to analyze the data. Results: The study revealed positive perceptions of the chatbot and mobile e-book app in terms of their usefulness, ease of use, and intention to use. The mean scores for usefulness, ease of use, and intention to use were 16.55 ± 1.50, 17.32 ± 0.79, and 13.03 ± 1.74, respectively, indicating high feasibility for adoption. Discussion: The findings suggest that mobile e-books and chatbots are well-received by healthcare professionals, with perceived usefulness and ease of use being significant factors for their adoption. These technologies can support clinical decision-making, reduce medical errors, and improve healthcare outcomes. Future developments should focus on integrating these tools into healthcare training programs and enhancing their functionality with real-time updates and interactive features. Abstract

The smoking cessation clinic was inaugurated in 2012 at the Puskesmas Padang. Based on clinical register data, the number of patients from 2016 to 2018 continues to decline. This study aims to determine the implementation of the smoking cessation clinic at the Padang Karambia Health Center, Payakumbuh City in 2021. This type of research uses qualitative research which was conducted from February to March 2021 in the Padang Karambia Health Center Work Area. The samples taken were 11 people as informants with purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews, FGDs, review of documents and observations. The data is processed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, after which triangulation is carried out. The results showed that from the point of view of smoking cessation clinics have staff as officers but have other duties, there is no financial support for the program and no special rooms, the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) already exists but has not been evaluated and revised. In terms of the process, the socialization was not optimal, there was identification of kilien, counseling and therapy 3 times a week, the follow-up was not going well. There is no measurable activity achievement target and patient visits are still very low. In 2020 there were no patient visits due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, while in 2019 the number has decreased from the previous year. This is due to the lack of socialization / promotion activities due to the absence of a supporting budget, as well as a lack of motivation for smokers to visit. For this reason, the Puskesmas Padang Karambia should allocate funds to support smoking cessation clinical activities so as to increase socialization / promotion. Abstract

Dental health is an integral part of health in general. Maintaining dental health is important. Teeth that are not cared for or maintained in health and hygiene can damage teeth such as caries, periodontal disease, and fractures when traumatized. Therefore, if the tooth is left in such a state, it can potentially lose the tooth. Dentures are prostheses that replace some or all of the missing natural teeth and surrounding tissues. The use of dentures can be influenced by several factors such as the high cost of making dentures, the length of time it takes to make dentures and the lack of public knowledge about the benefits of using dentures. The purpose of the study was to determine the level of knowledge of patients about the use of dentures after permanent tooth extraction at the Molawe Health Center based on gender, age, education, occupation and income. This study is a descriptive research with a cross sectional approach using the total sampling technique and the number of samples as many as 37 respondents.
