Abstract

The rapid development of digital information and communication technology has brought fundamental changes in the pattern of community interaction, including in efforts to increase legal awareness. Through social media, digital platforms, and other information technologies, the dissemination of legal information has become faster and wider, allowing the public to be more aware of their rights, obligations, and applicable legal norms. This study aims to examine the strategic role of digital communication as a means to strengthen legal awareness among the public. Using a qualitative approach through literature studies of various scientific journals, the results of the study show that digital technology can be an effective tool in educating the law, encouraging transparency, and strengthening social control over law enforcement officers. However, challenges such as low digital literacy, the spread of hoaxes, and misinformation are still obstacles that need to be overcome. Therefore, synergy is needed between the government, educational institutions, and digital platforms to improve legal literacy and build a responsible social media culture, in order to create a more aware, fair, and just legal environment in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid development of digitalization has brought significant changes to all aspects of life, especially the way humans communicate and law enforcement. As a widespread and interactive digital platform, social media provides a space for people to express themselves publicly. However, this freedom also brings new challenges, such as the spread of misinformation, hate speech, and defamation, which often result in legal action. In Indonesia, regulations regarding digital communication practices are mainly regulated through the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE). Although the law is an important tool for maintaining social order, its implementation often triggers debate about the balance between protecting freedom of expression and the state's obligation to maintain social order. This article discusses the ethics of digital communication in the context of law enforcement, emphasizing the balance between protecting individual privacy and the public interest. The author discusses the various challenges faced in the implementation of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) and considers its impact on human rights, especially in terms of freedom of expression and personal data protection. On the one hand, individuals have the right to maintain their privacy; on the other hand, the state has an obligation to maintain public security and control the spread of information that can disrupt public order. In this way, this article is expected to enrich the understanding of the dynamics of digital communication ethics in the legal field and provide input for better policy making in the future.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of diagnostic strategies in Arabic language learning. Diagnostic strategies are an essential learning approach in Arabic language teaching. This approach allows teachers to design teaching that is adaptive and based on student needs. Proper diagnosis will result in more meaningful learning and optimal learning outcomes. The advantages of this approach are that if the learning material is mastered by students or cannot be seen so that it is easier to identify it and the method used to overcome students who do not understand the concept well, while the disadvantage lies in the long preparation, requiring specific teacher skills, limited availability of tools and instruments and suboptimal further implementation. Diagnostic strategies can increase learning motivation because students feel helped according to their needs, encourage active and reflective learning, reduce the rate of errors in language use, both oral and written, and accelerate the achievement of basic language learning competencies.

Abstract

Various instructional methods can be implemented by educators to encourage students to think critically, creatively, and innovatively. One approach that can be applied in the learning process is the use of learning resources that are capable of enhancing students’ skills and creativity, such as practicum e-modules. The development of a Chemo-Entrepreneurship–based practicum e-module in chemistry learning was motivated by the absence of practicum guides currently used in schools that incorporate Chemo-Entrepreneurship principles. Through the Chemo-Entrepreneurship (CEP) approach embedded in the practicum module, the chemistry content learned by students can be applied in laboratory activities to process materials into useful chemical products with economic value. This approach is expected to foster students’ entrepreneurial interest and inspiration through the learning process. This initiative is also aligned with the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes meaningful, contextual, and student-centered learning. The research problems addressed in this study are: (1) the validity of the developed Chemo-Entrepreneurship–based chemistry practicum e-module, and (2) the responses of teachers and students toward the developed Chemo-Entrepreneurship–based chemistry practicum e-module. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model, which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research sample consisted of 33 students from class XII MIA 1 at MAN 4. The data collection instruments included interview guidelines for the initial analysis stage, validation sheets, and questionnaire sheets for teachers and students. Data analysis techniques were carried out using percentage formulas. Based on the validation results from three expert validators, the e-module obtained a percentage score of 81.4%, which falls into the “very valid” category. Furthermore, questionnaire responses from two chemistry teachers yielded a percentage of 92.3%, categorized as “very good,” while responses from 33 students of class XII MIA 1 resulted in a percentage of 75.8%, categorized as “good”.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven a significant transformation in the learning system in higher education. Gadgets, especially smartphones, have become the primary device supporting learning in the digital era. However, the high intensity of gadget use among students has also given rise to a phenomenon of dependency that has the potential to impact the quality of the learning process and outcomes. This study aims to examine the phenomenon of gadget dependency in learning in the digital era among students based on the results of previous research. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a library research type. Data were obtained from various scientific literature sources in the form of national and international journal articles relevant to the topic of gadget dependency and student learning. Data collection techniques were carried out through systematic literature searches, while data analysis used content analysis to identify and synthesize research findings. The results of the study indicate that gadget dependency among students impacts various aspects of learning, including decreased concentration, learning motivation, academic productivity, and the quality of social interactions. In addition, gadget dependency is influenced by low student self-control, less interactive learning designs, and a lack of digital literacy oriented towards the wise use of technology. Therefore, collaborative efforts are needed from universities, lecturers, and students to manage gadget use proportionally and productively. This research is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions in the development of more effective and sustainable digital learning in higher education.
