Abstract

Religious practices and community social interactions give birth to many events that have different meanings for each person. Revealing the hidden meaning of an event, especially from the perspective of the person experiencing it, can be done with a phenomenological approach. The purpose of this research is to explain the contribution of Husserl's phenomenological approach to the development of Islamic da'wah.. This research is a literature research on Husserl's phenomenological concept and how to apply it in da'wah. Data were collected from various documents related to the main topic, both from print and electronic sources. Miles & Huberman's qualitative interactive analysis was used to analyze the data through the stages of data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that basically phenomenological studies attempt to find the meaning or value of a phenomenon with two main things in focus, namely textural description and structural description. Textural description is about what is experienced, while structural description is related to how the context influences the subject in experiencing and interpreting the phenomenon. Husserl's phenomenological approach is one of the right approaches in examining social and religious phenomena and then conveying the content of da'wah in accordance with existing phenomena in the perspective of Islamic teachings so as to provide a holistic understanding of the phenomenon.

Abstract

The Baduy people, an ethnic minority living in the Banten region, Indonesia, were known for maintaining traditional values ​​and living a simple life. Even though they were relatively isolated from the outside world, the Baduy people cannot be separated from the influence of Islam which has become an inseparable part of their lives. The aim of this research was to analyze the role of da'wah in the formation of Islamic identity in the Baduy community who converted to Islam in Ciboleger Village. This research used ethnographic methods to observe social interactions, religious rituals and communication methods in this community. The research results showed that da'wah communication plays an important role in the process of conversion and internalization of Islamic values, as well as the formation of a new religious identity among the Bedouin community. Da'wah was carried out through individual and community approaches that emphasize religious teachings and respect for local traditions. The Islamic identity created reflects a combination of Islamic teachings and local culture, thus creating a dynamic and unique identity among the transformed Baduy community. This study contributed to understanding the process of da'wah and the formation of religious identity in the context of indigenous communities in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of the times that is increasingly turbulent in terms of technology and informatics makes Muslims more enthusiastic about spreading da'wah, they must be able to integrate with the changes. This study aims to analysis social changes in the use of social media which is used as a means of da'wah media to spread Islamic messages through mass media, one of which is Snack Video, a video content application. Through the method of study, study and literature, the results of this research show that the Snack Video account of najwaainunnabi conveys an Islamic message about tawadhu’ which is packaged in a language that is easy for the community to understand, such as in interpreting that when we are at the top, there is no need to be arrogant, while when we are at the bottom, do not be humble because Allah is easily able to turn the degree of human beings by turning the times and positions.

Abstract

The Salimah Community (Muslim Brotherhood) is an organization that focuses on empowering Muslim women through religious, educational, and social programs. Established in 2012 in Nguntoronadi District, Wonogiri Regency, this community plays an important role in shaping the character of Muslim women. This study aims to analyze the role of Salimah in building the character of Muslim women through the da'wah approach and social activities. A qualitative descriptive approach was used in this study, with data collection through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out using the triangulation method. The results of the study show that Salimah has succeeded in shaping the character of Muslim women through religious study programs, personality training, and social activities such as fundraising for orphans and parenting socialization. Salimah's da'wah strategy is designed in a structured manner, involves the active participation of members, and is evaluated periodically to increase its effectiveness. As a result, there is an increase in religious understanding, social solidarity, and awareness of the role of Muslim women in society. Salimah is not only a religious community, but also an agent of social change that contributes to the formation of individuals with Islamic character and a better society.

Abstract

This research analyzes Gerindra Party's political communication strategy in increasing political participation through social media, focusing on young voters and political communicator activities. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research aims to describe and understand social phenomena from the perspective of participants, with a case study analysis model. The results show that Gerindra Party targets young voters as part of its electoral strategy. The party actively engages young voters through in-person and online discussion activities, and interacts on social media using casual language that is easily understood by the millennial generation. The activities of Gerindra's political communicators on social media aim to bridge the gap between young voters and political parties, as well as to build personal closeness. political parties, as well as building personal closeness. In addition, the announcement regarding Gerindra's legislative candidates for the Pekanbaru City DPRD in the 2024 Election is disseminated transparently through official letters. Abstract

FTv “Azab” is one of the programs broadcast by Indosiar television station. The broadcast brought pro and contra arguments which were represented through the Panasonic Gobel Award as well as a warning from the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI). Explicitly, this television film shows scenes of violence. This raises the problem of whether violent reasoning is something that is dominant in humans and makes a major contribution in shaping one's motivation and pious behavior. Research informants are students of IAINU Kebumen. Data collection techniques were carried out through Focus Group Discussions, in-depth interviews, and observations. By applying the encoding-decoding theory of Stuart Hall and Michel Foucault's discourse perspective, this study concludes that violent reasoning does not always exist in religious practice and forms a pious attitude. Non-violent reasoning can even deny the presence of violent discourses. To obtain non-violent reasoning, one must obtain the support of knowledge and experience that becomes a framework for thinking and acting.

Abstract

Every action taken by the government must have a strong legal basis so as not to conflict with the legislation. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing how the form of legal arrangements in the implementation of television broadcast content according to laws and regulations and how the responsibility of broadcast organizers in organizing television broadcast content in accordance with laws and regulations. The research method used is library research, which is a series of activities related to library data collection methods. The findings in this article are related to the concepts of fairness, accuracy and impartiality, which are very important in upholding the law and truth. Reporting events of panic, riots and conflicts is crucial to ensuring public safety and addressing their impact, even though there is no specific law governing such matters. Finally, the use of hidden cameras has legal and ethical implications that must be considered in accordance with the Electronic Information and Transaction Law and its amendments to prevent legal violations and protect public privacy.

Abstract

Da'wah is the core of Islamic teachings. In practice, da'wah can be carried out through various methods, approaches, and patterns that are tailored to the needs and situation of the community. slam does not result in the erosion of local traditions, wisdom, and culture. On the contrary, the process of acculturation between Islam and local culture actually enriches the variety of traditions and social practices of the region. The research method is qualitative by collecting data from library research and applying Comte's Social-Culture approach. The results obtained are the breadth of the Prophet Muhammad's teachings delivered through an effective socio-anthropological approach. A clear example is the Walisongo, who adapted the art of wayang performance to the building of places of worship, such as the Gedhe Kauman Mosque in Yogyakarta, Surau Tuo Sheikh Burhanuddin Ulakan, West Sumatra, Nurul Huda Mosque in Gelgel Village, Bali and many others. In addition, there are many forms of Islam-based local community receptions, such as the Grebeg tradition in the Yogyakarta Palace, Mauluik (maulid) of the Prophet Muhammad in West Sumatra, or the Bantai Adat Tradition in Merangin, Jambi, containing da'wah messages.

Abstract

Technological advances make it a human need to express themselves and form self-actualization through TikTok social media, such as sharing painting content in the era of modernization. The purpose of this research is to find out the existence of painting content and personal branding through TikTok as popular culture. This research uses a qualitative method with a virtual ethnography approach to the AMS (Cyber Media Analysis) model by Rulli Nasrullah, including 4 levels, namely, media space, media documents, media objects, and media experiences. Data collection techniques in this study through observation and documentation on TikTok accounts @erikarichardo, @rhmatdraw, and @dyssayangkamu. The results of the research through the AMS model found that the selection of TikTok is a good choice as a medium for self-expression through painting content because it has various features and its reach is wide open. In the era of digitalization, making painting as part of popular culture provides an excellent opportunity for artists and painting creators to build a reputation, create works that are attractive, known, and liked by many people.

Abstract

The commodification of abusive language on the YouTube channel Tekotok is an intriguing phenomenon to study, given its impact on communication behavior in society, particularly among adolescents. This research aims to identify the forms of abusive language used in Tekotok's content and analyze its social and psychological effects on the audience. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation and content analysis of video materials. Data were collected from ten selected videos on the Tekotok channel that contain elements of abusive language. The results indicate that there is a variety of abusive language usage that serves as a tool to attract attention, create humor, and convey social criticism. However, the impacts also include the normalization of abusive language use among adolescents, which can lead to decreased empathy and increased aggressive behavior. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of awareness regarding the negative effects of using abusive language in social media and the need for education on more positive communication.
