Journal of Arabic Education and Linguistics adalah jurnal ilmiah yang mulai menerbitkan artikel semi-online pada tahun 2021 dan seluruhnya online pada tahun 2022. Jurnal ini disediakan untuk ahli linguistik Arab, peneliti dan praktisi Pendidikan bahsa Arab di seluruh dunia, dan arsiparis yang membutuhkan atau tertarik untuk mengikuti perkembangan dan isu-isu pendidikan bahasa Arab terkini. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dan dibiayai oleh Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar, dan secara teratur menerbitkan nomor isu pada bulan Juni dan Desember. Semua artikel yang dikirimkan akan diperiksa dengan tepat oleh editor jurnal dan dikirim ke peer reviewer kami. Kami hanya menerima karya ilmiah yang ditulis dalam Bahasa Indonesia, Arab, dan Inggris.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of YouTube social media in Arabic language lessons for 7th-grade female students at SMP IT Al Insyirah in Makassar City and to assess the application of YouTube social media in enhancing the listening skills of these students. The research method used in this study is Classroom Action Research using the Kurt Lewin model, which consists of two cycles, with each cycle comprising one or more meetings. The sample for this research consists of 10 female students from the 7th grade at SMP IT Al Insyirah in Makassar City. Data collection techniques include observation, tests, and documentation. The tests include both pre-tests and post-tests. The pre-test is conducted at the beginning of the session before students receive treatment or engage in the learning process involving the use of YouTube social media. The post-test is conducted at the end of each meeting in each cycle. Data analysis techniques involve using percentage calculation formulas and mean values for the analysis of the improvement in listening skills. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of YouTube social media in Arabic language lessons led to an improvement in the listening skills of 7th-grade female students at SMP IT Al Insyirah from the pre-cycle to cycle II. According to the test results conducted during the learning process in the classroom, the pre-cycle average score was 29%, the cycle I average score increased to 68%, and the cycle II average score was 90.5%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of YouTube social media in each cycle contributes to a significant enhancement in listening skills with a category of excellent.

Abstract

Often in the learning process, teachers and students face various obstacles that hinder the effective achievement of learning objectives. Determining the appropriate method is a key factor in achieving learning objectives. One of the learning approaches currently attracting attention is Project-Based Learning (PjBL). This research aims to identify the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in the Arabic language learning process from a psycholinguistic perspective. This study is a literature review where data is obtained from books, articles, and related literature. After data processing, analysis proceeds through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. PjBL method is project-oriented and considered effective in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Psycholinguistics in Arabic language learning cannot be ignored. The application of PjBL from a psycholinguistic perspective shows effectiveness in language acquisition, especially in Arabic language.

Abstract

The study of the characteristics of sound is an interesting area to explore due to itssignificant role in supporting the process of communication and Arabic language skills. Thisresearch aims to explain Ibn Jinni's linguistic thoughts on the characteristics of sound. This studyused the library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Library research methodis used to collecting data from existing references and literature that related to Ibn Jinni's linguisticthoughts. The results of this research consist of a study that includes Ibn Jinni's biography, IbnJinni's linguistic thoughts on the characteristics of sound, and the comparison of the theoriesregarding the characteristics of sound between Ibn Jinni and Sibawaih.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the condition of Students with Special Needs (PDBK) at SMAIT Nurul Fikri Makassar based on their characteristics. The type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data source of this research uses primary data (students, Arabic language subject teachers or special mentor teachers, and school principals) and secondary data such as the results of interview notes with teachers, books related to students with special needs and Arabic language books, and the results of field notes and other data that can be used as complementary data. Furthermore, the data collection methods used are observation methods, interview methods, and documentation methods. Research instruments in the form of observation guidelines and interview guidelines. Data management techniques are data collection, data transcription, data classification, data interpretation, and data description. While data analysis in this study is to review all available data from various sources, reduce data, compile it, and check data validity using source triangulation. The results of the research, regarding the condition of students with special needs at SMAIT Nurul Fikri Makassar, concluded that of the 9 PDBK students at SMAIT, two of them following the regular curriculum, three of them Omisi, thre of them subtituted, and one of them Omisi and subtituted. The implications of this research are Schools should select educators who not only have an educational background but also have experience or knowledge in the field of PDBK education, especially for GPK. In addition, it should organize PDBK education trainings for teachers who have not mastered the ability to manage or deal with PDBK. Teachers should determine a special strategy for teaching PDBK, because their ability to capture material is different from children in general.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kesulitan penggunaan bentuk-bentuk kata ganti dalam kalimat bahasa Arab pada pada peserta didik kelas IX di MTs Darul Abrar Kabupaten Bone. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pendekatan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa faktor yang dapat menyebabkan kesulitan penggunaan bentuk-bentuk kata ganti dalam kalimat bahasa Arab pada peserta didik. Beberapa faktor tersebut antara lain: Faktor internal meliputi (faktor minat, faktor perhatian peserta didik dan faktor ketidakpahaman konsep dhamir) dan faktor eksternal meliputi (faktor pendidik, faktor metode pengajaran, faktor kurangnya latihan praktis, faktor kurikulum, faktor sarana dan prasarana). Implikasi penelitian ini yaitu kepada peneliti lainnya yang berkeinginan untuk meneliti dalam wilayah kajian yang sama, diharapkan dapat mengambil fokus pada analisis kesulitan kata ganti terhadap kaidah bahasa Arab yang lain

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk leksem bahasa Arab dalam sosial media ditinjau dari segi morfo-semantik. Tujuan ini dibuktikan melalui analisis data yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik dokumentasi dari sumber data primer dan sekunder dan dianalisis secara logis berdasarkan penalaran logika induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa leksem tersebut berbentuk morfologis secara derivasi, infleksi, dan gabungan kata seperti, frasa iḍafy dan frasa na’ty. Adapun secara semantis, terdapat leksem yang mengalami pergeseran makna, dan beberapa kata yang memiliki makna sepadan dengan makna asalnya. Kemudian dalam morfosemantik selain mengubah bangunan kata juga berimplikasi pada perubahan makna yang dihasilkan dari proses morfologis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan E LKPD Hiwar berbasis website Wizer.meguna mendukung pembelajaran bahasa Arab bagi siswa kelas 7 di MTs Barana Jeneponto.Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) denganmodel 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Keabsahan produk diuji oleh para ahli materidan media, menunjukkan tingkat validitas yang sangat baik, dengan skor rata rata valida si mencapai[93%]. Kepraktisan E LKPD ini diuji melalui uji coba terbatas dan diperoleh skor kepraktisansebesar [53%] untuk penilaian guru dan penilaian peserta didik dengan nilai rata rata (55,44),mengindikasikan kemudahan penggunaan baik bagi guru maup un siswa. Selain itu, efektivitasproduk juga diukur melalui uji coba lapangan yang melibatkan siswa kelas 7, di mana hasil post testmenunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan bahasa Arab, khususnya dalam aspekHiwar (percakapan) dengan nilai efek tivitas sebesar [92,92]. Dengan demikian, E LKPD berbasisWizer.me ini terbukti valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran bahasaArab di MTs Barana Jeneponto, serta diharapkan mampu menjadi alternatif media pembelajaraninovatif yang memanfaatkan teknologi digital secara optimal.

Abstract

Mastery of Arabic vocabulary is a fundamental component in language learning. Vocabulary is the main element for understanding and expressing meaning in oral and written communication. This research aims to improve students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary through implementing the Kahoot application at SMP Plus Intan as-Sali. The type of research used in this research is experimental research with a one group pretest posttest design. The data collection technique used is in the form of a test. The research results showed that there were differences in learning outcomes before and after being given treatment, namely the pretest score was 77.08 to 92.46 on the posttest. The results of hypothesis testing using the paired sample test show that the sig value (2 tailed) is as large 0,004 as the sig value <0.05. So it can be concluded that the Kahoot application has an influence on the Arabic vocabulary mastery of class VII SMP Plus Intan as-Sali students.

Abstract

Language is not merely a means of communication between individuals or specific groups; rather, it constitutes a comprehensive system composed of phonetic components, morphological structures, syntactic formations, and semantic elements that collectively work to shape overall meaning. Through these components, phonological phenomena emerge, playing a fundamental role in determining linguistic meanings. Among these phenomena is the variation in the intensity of pronunciation—whether rising or falling—which contributes to defining the general meaning of sentences and phrases. This is known as phonetic stress, which refers to the emphasis placed on specific syllables within words or sentences. Stress is characterized by its ability to draw attention to certain meanings or to create distinctions in meaning, whether within similar words or in sentence-level contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the points of convergence and similarity between the linguistic thought of the Arab scholar ʿAbd al-Qāhir al-Jurjānī and contemporary linguistic theories, particularly the contributions of scholars in the field of transformational-generative linguistics. This exploration aligns with the call to revisit and reinterpret Arab intellectual heritage in light of contemporary linguistic concepts, thereby creating a meaningful connection between the two to enrich modern linguistic studies across diverse contexts. The research focuses on ʿAbd al-Qāhir al-Jurjānī, the proponent of the "Nazm" theory, to compare his ideas with the transformational-generative theory due to the significant points of alignment between the two frameworks. For instance, Chomsky’s theory resembles al-Jurjānī’s thought in its conceptualization of "precedence and succession," as it emphasizes the primacy of certain linguistic elements over others within a syntactic structure. Moreover, Chomsky’s theory has become a dominant paradigm in linguistic studies, and no linguistic school has refrained from engaging with or positioning itself in relation to his ideas.
