Abstract

The Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit is a major tourism destination in Lombok. This study develops an aspect-based sentiment analysis (ABSA) system extracting sentiment from 1,772 valid Google Maps reviews filtered from 4,671 raw reviews, covering nine aspects defined via topic modeling and keyword validation. A two-stage IndoBERT pipeline is applied with Focal Loss, mean pooling, a differential learning rate, Back-Translation augmentation, and 5-fold cross-validation with per-aspect threshold tuning. The final model achieves a macro-F1 of 0.882 for aspect detection (accuracy 0.976; exact match accuracy 82.58%; hamming loss 0.024) and a macro-F1 of 0.87 for sentiment classification. Against classical TF-IDF baselines, IndoBERT (macro-F1 0.882) outperforms a linear Support Vector Machine (0.727) and Logistic Regression (0.711) on aspect detection, though a McNemar test shows the gap versus SVM is not statistically significant (p = 0.104), while the gap between SVM and Logistic Regression is significant (p = 0.001). Because labels are produced via weak supervision, additional validation is conducted using human annotation on 313 reviews (17.7% of the data); inter-annotator agreement (Cohen's Kappa) for aspect detection is very low (κ = 0.159), indicating that weak-supervision metrics may not directly reflect ground-truth sentiment accuracy. Venue (41.5%), Scenery (29.9%), and Organization (18.4%) are the most frequently discussed aspects in the reviews. The findings are translated into an actionable promotion strategy matrix, though larger-scale human validation remains necessary before direct application.

Abstract

This research began with the increasing demand for electrical energy and the utilization of biomass waste as an alternative energy source. Ash produced from wood combustion, which has traditionally been considered waste, contains minerals and carbon that can be utilized in an electrochemical process to generate electricity. The purpose of this study was to measure the voltage, current, and electrical power generated, as well as to evaluate the effect of electrolyte type and pipe size on electrical output. To achieve these objectivites, a quantitative experimental method was applied by utilizing wood combustion ash, variations in electrolyte types, and pipe sizes. The parameters measured included voltage, current, and electrical power before and after the charging process. The data obtained from the measurements were subsequently analyzed quantitatively. The finding showed that the generated voltage ranged from 0,55-1,57 V, while the electrical current ranged from 0,16 0,48 A. The best performance was achieved using K2CO3 elctrolyte in a 3 inch pipa after the charging process, with an average recorded power of 0,579 W. The electrolyte type and charging method had a significant effect on electrical output compared with variations in pipe size. Based on these results, wood combustion ash waste has the potential to be utilized as an alternative source of electrical energy on a small scale, although the generated power is still relatively low and tends to decrease during the resting phase.

Abstract

Power transformers are one of the main components in power generation systems that function to transfer electrical energy from the generator to the transmission network. Transformer reliability plays a vital role in maintaining the continuity of electrical power supply because transformer failures may cause operational interruptions and significant economic losses. Therefore, an effective maintenance strategy is required to detect potential failures at an early stage before they develop into severe damage. This study aims to analyze the reliability of a power transformer based on preventive maintenance using Thermovision and Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) methods at the Generator Transformer Unit 3 of Tanjung Jati B Steam Power Plant. The research was conducted through literature review, field observation, periodic inspection data collection, infrared thermography analysis, visual inspection, and transformer oil condition assessment according to IEEE C57.104 and IEC 60422 standards. The analyzed parameters include oil temperature, winding temperature, Low Voltage (LV) duct temperature, cooling system performance, oil leakage, silica gel condition, leakage current, and visual inspection results. The results indicate that the highest transformer temperature was observed at the LV duct, reaching 56.8°C, while oil and winding temperatures reached 53°C and 56°C, respectively. All visual inspection parameters remained within normal conditions without evidence of oil leakage, mechanical defects, or cooling system malfunction. Therefore, the generator transformer is considered reliable, and preventive maintenance has proven effective in detecting potential transformer failures before operational disturbances occur.

Abstract

Two-stage object detection that combines a passive infrared sensor with an ultrasonic ranging sensor is widely adopted in low-cost room security devices, yet most published prototypes report only functional success without characterising the metrological behaviour of each sensing stage. This study characterises and calibrates the sensing subsystem of a room monitoring prototype built around a Wemos D1 R32 microcontroller, an HC-SR501 passive infrared sensor, an HY-SRF05 ultrasonic sensor, an SG90 servo motor, and an active buzzer. An experimental quantitative approach was applied: motion detection was tested at six standoff distances up to 240 cm, ultrasonic ranging was compared against a reference ruler at five distances from 20 cm to 100 cm, and the servo sweep period was measured over five replications. Percentage error, ordinary least squares regression, and descriptive statistics were used in the analysis. The passive infrared stage detected motion consistently up to 200 cm and failed at 240 cm, while the buzzer responded within 1.30 s to 2.64 s. The ultrasonic stage produced a mean relative error of 1.16%, dominated by a fixed positive offset of 0.96 cm; a two-parameter linear calibration with a coefficient of determination of 0.9999 lowered the mean relative error to 0.47%. The servo completed a 360 degree round sweep in 5.446 s, matching the blocking delay budget of the firmware. The findings demonstrate that detection latency is governed by firmware architecture rather than sensor physics, and that a simple linear calibration substantially improves ranging accuracy.

Abstract

Instant messaging platforms are increasingly used as notification channels for low-cost Internet Of Things security devices, yet the end-to-end latency of such channels is rarely measured and almost never decomposed into its constituent stages. This study analyses the latency and reliability of a visual notification channel that couples an ESP32-CAM module with the Telegram Bot API in a room monitoring prototype controlled by a Wemos D1 R32. An experimental quantitative approach was used. Image capture was triggered by an ultrasonic proximity threshold of 100 cm and tested at six object distances from 20 cm to 120 cm; the interval between triggering and the appearance of the photograph in the recipient chat was recorded. Descriptive statistics, coefficient of variation, Pearson correlation, and an analytical latency budget derived from the firmware structure were used for analysis. All triggers inside the threshold zone produced a successfully delivered photograph and an accompanying distance message, giving a delivery success rate of one hundred percent, whereas the object at 120 cm correctly produced no transmission. End-to-end latency ranged from 6.03 s to 10.45 s with a mean of 8.09 s, a standard deviation of 1.80 s, and a coefficient of variation of 22.3%. The correlation between latency and object distance was weak and statistically insignificant, confirming that latency is dominated by the secure transport layer and the image payload rather than by the sensing stage. Reducing the capture resolution and reusing the secure session are recommended as the most effective optimisation measures.

Abstract

Damage to door panels caused by drilling, nailing, or screwing clothes hangers onto doors, as well as the insufficient strength of conventional hangers, remains a common problem in residential and public facilities. This production project aimed to develop a durable S-shaped 90° clothes hanger made of aluminum that can be attached directly to the edge of a door with a thickness of 38 mm without causing structural damage. The production method consisted of several stages, including designing the S-shaped 90° hanger, cutting an aluminum plate measuring 210 × 20 × 3 mm, forming semicircular ends using a press tool to reduce the plate length from 21 cm to 20 cm, filing sharp edges, marking bending lines at distances of 3 cm and 7 cm from both ends of the plate in opposite directions, bending the ends according to the markings, and applying paint or anodizing finishes based on customer preferences. The final stage involved quality and dimensional inspections to ensure product conformity. The resulting product was an aluminum S-shaped 90° clothes hanger capable of being securely hung on the upper edge of a 38 mm thick door. The production cost was approximately IDR 12,000 per unit, with an average manufacturing time of 10 minutes per unit. The hanger was capable of supporting loads of up to 7 kg and could be easily installed, removed, and relocated without damaging the door surface.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in improving the quality of human resources. Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Indonesia are designed to prepare students to enter the workforce according to their field of expertise. In vocational education, an appropriate learning model is required to enhance students' conceptual understanding as well as their problem-solving skills. This study aims to determine whether there is a significant improvement in students' cognitive learning outcomes in the Electrical Lighting Installation subject for Grade XI students at SMK Negeri 1 Driyorejo after the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects were students of class XI TITL 1 and XI TITL 2, totaling 66 students, divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected through validated pretest and posttest written instruments. The hypothesis was tested using the Mann-Whitney test and N-Gain Score to measure effectiveness. The results indicated that the experimental class applying PBL achieved a higher posttest average (84.30) compared to the control class (78.27). The Mann-Whitney test resulted in a significance value of 0.007 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference. Furthermore, the N-Gain test showed the experimental class reached 67.76% (moderately effective), while the control class only reached 40.54% (less effective). The implication is that the Problem Based Learning model is proven effective as an alternative learning approach to enhance students' understanding and learning outcomes in electrical subjects.
