Abstract

Carrying out construction activities is a complicated activity, problems often occur in the implementation of construction projects causing the owner to experience losses, obstacles that are often faced include delays in project completion time, project cost overruns and inconsistencies in the quality and quality of construction projects. As a solution, competent experts are needed who can manage and control construction projects to avoid the obstacles that often occur. Young Construction Management Experts are one of the experts regulated in SKKNI No. 390 of 2015 to manage and control all activities starting from the planning, design, tendering, implementation, to the post-implementation stages of construction projects. This article aims to identify the competencies needed to become a Young Construction Management Expert using the literature study method. The results obtained were 30 competencies of Young Construction Management Experts which were grouped into 3 aspects, namely knowledge aspects, skills aspects and attitude aspects. These 30 competencies were obtained from SKKNI and relevant journals and books.

Abstract

In simplifying the process of monitoring the temperature of electric vehicle batteries, especially in discharging conditions, a remote electric vehicle battery temperature monitoring system was created. The problem with the previous monitoring system was that there was no electric battery temperature monitoring system, so users could not monitor the temperature condition of the vehicle battery when in use. The purpose of this study is to design an Internet of Things (IoT)-based electric vehicle battery temperature monitoring device system using the web and add a data logger to monitor battery temperature remotely and find out the difference in temperature values from the device with a thermogun. And the addition of a cut off feature when the battery overheats as one of the safety. The research method uses experiments, namely by comparing the speed between 30km/h and 50km/h and comparing the readings of the monitoring device with a thermogun. In proving the performance of the monitoring equipment, it is carried out with a distance of 1km, 2km, and 3km and in sloping road conditions. The data obtained were then analyzed using the paired T-test method. The results of the study showed that the tool worked quite well with the highest error value of 3.88%. And the battery temperature value between the speed of 30km/h and 50km/h is a significant difference with a P-value result of 0.035 which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract

The ignition system is an important system in a vehicle. Currently, the level of emissions produced by vehicles continues to increase every year. This can be caused by high fuel consumption values. The solution to this is to improve the quality of the spark plug by adding a capacitor to the ignition/ignition capacitor. The way the Plasma Capacitor Igniton works is by adding a high voltage non-polar capacitor which is connected in parallel to the output coil. The experimental method will be carried out using quantitative methods. By installing ignition plasma capacitors with different capacitor sizes of 1.5 mF (STD), 440 pF, 660 pF installed in parallel with the spark plug wires with variations in engine speed running from 1500 – 5500 rpm to check emissions. To check the fuel consumption value for Rpm 4500 - 9500 which has been adjusted previously. Fuel Consumption Test Results The use of 440 pF capacitors generally provides an increase in SFC efficiency at most engine speeds, with the largest percentage reduction at RPM 5500 (22.64%). The use of 660 pF capacitors shows varying results. At some RPMs, such as 5500, the SFC actually increases (3.77%), while at other RPMs such as 6500, it shows a significant decrease (27.66%).

Abstract

The high competition in the property industry requires companies to maintain high occupational safety and health (K3) standards. Data from the engineering division of PT Gaia Care International shows that in the period January-November 2023 there were 11 work accidents, with the majority being minor accidents and one fatal case. This study aims to identify potential risk hazards, analyze risk levels, and determine appropriate risk control measures. The HIRARC method is used in three stages: Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control. The results showed that there were various potential hazards such as electrocution, falling from stairs, and exposure to chemicals. The risk assessment classified 5 work activities as low risk, 43 as medium risk, and 2 as high risk and no extreme risk was found. Risk control efforts are carried out using fishbone diagrams and 5W+1H techniques to reduce or eliminate existing risks. This research is expected to provide benefits for companies in reducing the number of work accidents and become a reference in implementing better OHS policies, as well as providing additional insight for readers regarding the importance of risk analysis in creating a safe and healthy work environment.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze personality and communication styles in business negotiations. By examining various personality types such as extraverted, introverted, agreeable, conscientious, and neurotic, this study explores how personality characteristics influence communication strategies in the negotiation process. Through surveys and in-depth qualitative analysis of business professionals, the research found that individuals with extraverted personalities tend to be more proactive in taking initiative, whereas introverts are more inclined to deliberate carefully before acting. The communication styles employed also vary based on individual personalities. This research indicates that a deeper understanding of the role of personality in business communication can enhance negotiation effectiveness and improve final outcomes. The practical implications of these findings underscore the importance of adapting communication strategies based on the personality characteristics of negotiation participants to achieve success in dynamic and complex business environments.

Abstract

Technological development is urgently needed to handle rice drying, namely by designing and designing rice drying machines, by utilizing heating from burning LPG gas which is arranged in an integrated system. The purpose of this paper is to design and design a rice drying machine, selecting machine components and including analysis of the strength of the dryer shaft by knowing von Misses stress, displacement and safety factors.  The design of the rice drying machine uses 1 source of electric motor driving power to operate an integrated drying and heating system. With the power of 0.5 HP (0.37 kW) it is planned to be able to dry rice with a capacity of 30 kg/hour. The power generated by the electric motor is used to move pulley-1 (drive), which is transmitted using  V-belt transmission to move pulley-2 (gear box and dryer blower). The length of the first belt transmission (L) is 813 mm and the second is 1270 mm. And uses a chain transmission with type number 40 which has a distance of 12.70 mm with a chain length of 76 links. The bearing used is a radial ball bearing with a single row UCP 205. Based on the results of the analysis of the rice drying machine shaft using solidwork software, Von Misses stress value is 40.55 MPa, displacement value is 0.19 mm, and safety factor value is 13.07, so from the simulation results this rice drying shaft can be said to be safe in accepting workloads

Abstract

Every company that carries out production activities needs a supply of raw materials. With the availability of raw materials, it is hoped that industrial companies can carry out the production process according to consumer demand. In addition, adequate supplies of raw materials in the warehouse are also expected to improve the smoothness of production or service to consumers, as well as prevent shortages of raw materials. This research aims to identify and analyze the inventory management of raw materials implemented by the National Tofu Factory. The research method used is descriptive, with analysis using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. The data collected is in the form of interview results as primary data. The results of the research show that the management of raw material inventory by the National Tofu Factory has not been optimal. Based on the EOQ calculation, the amount of existing raw material inventory is smaller than what is recommended by the EOQ method. Therefore, additional raw material supplies are needed to support the smooth production process. The National Tofu Factory is also advised to provide adequate warehouses to store raw material supplies, especially for soybeans, so that they can accommodate more raw materials and reduce ordering costs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pulley angle variations of 13.5ᵒ and 14ᵒ and roller weight variations of 12 g, 14 g, and 16 g on the torque of a 150 cm3 automatic motorcycle. The method with a quantitative approach the method used is the experimental method. For the sample of this research is a type of pulley and 3 types of rollers with different slopes and weights where the angle varies to test the 150 cm3 matic motorcycle torque used. From the results of this study results in a value where the Fcount value is greater than the Ftable means that the null hypothesis (H02) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H22) is accepted or the mass of the roller has an influence on torque, the Fcount value is greater than the Ftable means that the hypothesis (H01) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H11) is accepted or the mass of the roller has an influence on torque, and that the interaction between pulley angle and roller mass does not affect, and the Ftable value is lower than the Fcount value that the hypothesis (H03) is accepted and the alternative hypothesis (H33) is rejected, roller mass affects torque.

Abstract

In the#world of work assessment, it is very important, every organization will develop the best strategy to be able to compete. Especially in improving employee performance. The background to good employee performance is the ability to adapt, having skills that are relevant to the job, and the willingness to continue learning and developing. Thus, companies can achieve brand goals more effectively and efficiently. Similar to other companies, PT. Hilfic also carries out performance assessments of its employees. In this research, employee performance assessment uses a strategy based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI). The aim of this research is to identify factors that influence employee performance, such as motivation, competence, work environment, etc. The method used uses qualitative methods. The research results show that there is a positive and significant influence on employee performance, especially on quality and quantity after the company implemented Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as an assessment of its performance.
