Abstract

The forecasting of advertisement tax payments at the Medan City Revenue Agency aims to support planning and decision-making regarding advertisement tax revenue from 2021 to 2023, covering the period from January to December. In this process, historical data on advertisement tax payments is analyzed to determine the most suitable ARIMA model by considering the Autoregressive (AR), Differencing (I), and Moving Average (MA) parameters. The research indicates that the ARIMA model can provide accurate predictions of advertisement tax payment trends, thereby serving as a tool to enhance the effectiveness of local tax management. For the period from January to October 2024, it is estimated that 1,141 individuals will make advertisement tax payments, with the lowest forecasted number occurring in January 2024 at 1,128 individuals.

Abstract

The post-operative recovery process is an important aspect in improving the quality of life for the elderly. A proper understanding of wound care, pain management, and activities that can accelerate recovery is essential to support their healing. Therefore, appropriate education and counseling are needed to help the elderly manage their recovery process effectively. The aim of this community service activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of the elderly community in Surakarta regarding post-operative healing. The method used in this activity is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design consisting of a pre-test and post-test with one group. The respondents were 20 elderly individuals who had undergone surgery. A pre-test was conducted before the education to measure the initial knowledge level of the elderly regarding post-operative care. After providing education on wound care, pain management, and the importance of recovery activities, a post-test was conducted to measure changes in the elderly’s knowledge after receiving the education. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in the elderly’s knowledge, as indicated by the difference between pre-test and post-test scores. This demonstrates that the education provided was effective in enhancing the elderly’s understanding of post-operative care and recovery processes. This activity is expected to help the elderly recover more quickly and effectively, thereby improving their quality of life after surgery.

Abstract

Tinambung Village is the center of trade and services in Tinambung District. In general, trade and service businesses are activities that involve buying and selling goods and/or services between traders and buyers. In the trade and service area, problems certainly arise, one of which is the problem of waste. Therefore, we conduct community service in the form of socialization regarding waste management using the 3R method, namely Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in Tinambung Village, Polewali Mandar Regency. This activity is in the form of socialization regarding waste management using the 3R method, namely Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in Tinambung Village, Polewali Mandar Regency. Community service activities begin with an evaluation by filling out a questionnaire to determine the level of understanding of the Tinambung Village community regarding the 3R concept. and the results are still many participants who do not know or are not familiar with the 3R concept. Then, socialization is carried out to provide an understanding of the 3R concept to participants. After that, organic waste processing practices were carried out, namely by making compost. This socialization activity to the community is not only to introduce 3R-based waste management, but also to teach the community how to directly practice managing waste according to the 3R method

Abstract

The home industry partner for the tofu business is located in Kalidoh Langensari Barat Village, Ungaran Barat District, Semarang Regency. The partner's obstacle is the failure to meet the increasing market demand. This obstacle is caused because the production process is still carried out manually or traditionally so that tofu production is limited to human power. The right solution offered through this community service is the application of process technology in the form of a soybean grinding machine with a rotary system to increase tofu productivity. The purpose of this community service is to make an electric soybean grinding machine, apply a rotary grinding machine to the tofu production process, and conduct evaluation and assistance to maintain the sustainability of the program. The initial stage carried out in this service consists of planning and making the machine. Planning is based on market needs and partner conditions related to the provision of electrical energy. The design results are made through machine work in the Mechanical Department workshop. The next stage is the application of the machine including assembly and installation of the machine at the partner's location, as well as operational training and machine maintenance. The final stage of the service is evaluation and assistance. Evaluation is carried out by directly assessing the partner's operational practices on the machine that has been assisted. The assistance provided includes supervision, work control, and direction when the partner produces tofu using the production machine. It is expected that the rotary soybean grinding machine can increase the production of partner tofu.

Abstract

The development of digital technology today has influenced various aspects of human life, from communication to instant access to information, but the digital literacy gap is still felt by some people, especially in non-technical communities. This community service activity aims to improve basic understanding of computers and the internet for the Purwokerto Fixie Community, a bicycle community whose members come from various ages and educational backgrounds. The socialization method is carried out interactively with a simple language approach, so that the material can be optimally absorbed by participants who have minimal digital experience. The material presented includes an introduction to computer devices, basic concepts of internet networks, digital security, and an understanding of the latest technologies such as 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT). The evaluation results showed an increase in participants' knowledge of basic digital literacy, as well as an awareness of the importance of using information technology safely and responsibly. This activity is the first step in efforts to empower communities through increasing inclusive and applicable digital literacy.

Abstract

The integration of digital technology in education serves as a strategic solution to enhance learning access, particularly for students in regions with limited educational infrastructure, such as Sorong City, Southwest Papua. This community service program was designed to introduce and provide training to junior high school students in the use of the Thunkable application as a tool for mobile-based learning media. Thunkable is a visual drag-and-drop platform that enables users to design functional mobile applications without the need for prior programming knowledge. The method employed in this activity is based on the Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. In the Define stage, the needs and digital readiness of the target group were assessed. The Design and Develop stages involved creating a training module and conducting hands-on workshops where students were guided step-by-step to create simple educational apps. In the final Disseminate stage, the outcomes were evaluated and shared for broader use. The results of this initiative revealed high levels of enthusiasm among the participants. Students were actively engaged and demonstrated the ability to independently design simple learning applications by the end of the training. This indicates that the use of Thunkable not only increases students' digital literacy but also enhances their self-directed learning, creativity, and technological confidence. Overall, this activity illustrates the potential of mobile learning tools to support inclusive and adaptive education in remote communities. By equipping students with practical digital skills, it lays the foundation for long-term educational innovation and empowerment. Therefore, the use of Thunkable can be considered an effective and accessible alternative to foster meaningful learning experiences across diverse educational contexts.
