Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam (ISSN 2088-9992; E-ISSN2549-8738) accredited Sinta 5 Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, is an academic journal that emphasizes on actual issues related to Islamic guidance and counseling. Journal of Counseling Religi Journal of Islamic Counseling Guidance is published twice a year (once every six months, issued in June and December) by the Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi Islam Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Ampel Surabaya is valid since the first Journal of Vol.1, No 1, June 2011. Abstract

Guidance and counseling teachers are important. This looks at the various cases and problems that exist in the world of education. Students should be children who try to explore all the potential they have, but each student's journey to seek knowledge will never be smooth and perfect. Student learning discipline is an aspect that is desired by every supervisor or educator. However, it cannot be denied that student learning indiscipline exists in every school. The cause of this indiscipline is due to the lack of awareness of students as students. The reflection that can be highlighted from students is their visible behavior. Students' lack of learning discipline is important to address. There are many ways to improve student learning discipline. Likewise, the techniques used to improve discipline. The offer put forward as an intervention in improving student learning discipline is of course Islamic group guidance through a behavioral approach suitable for use.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation of guidance and counseling at Islamic boarding schools, whether within formal education or outside of it, The study about it was part of a systematic literature review. Studiesprimary in this study were obtained from websites with the provisions of articles using Guidance and Counseling, Islamic Boarding Schools, published on range year 2014-2020, written by Indonesian and English, as well as the title or abstract in accordance with the research objectives. The results from the primary studies used in this research show that the implementation of guidance and counseling at Islamic boarding schools has been carried out in different ways at each school. Implementation and Guidance Counseling at Islamic Boarding Schools, which implement two curricula at once, namely formal education and non-formal, could be used side by side with the Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling program.

Abstract

Cross-cultural counseling has crucial relevance in this era of globalization. Where intercultural interactions are increasingly unavoidable, especially in Indonesia which is rich in cultural diversity. Having a counseling approach that considers these differences is crucial. Gus Dur, a renowned religious figure and spiritual leader, employs a counseling approach that blends Islamic religious values with local cultural insights. This study seeks to explore Gus Dur's cross-cultural counseling approach. It employs a qualitative research method, specifically a literature review. The analysis reveals that Gus Dur utilized a comprehensive counseling approach, emphasizing religious values, humanity, and local wisdom. These findings offer valuable insights for developing counseling methods rooted in local religious and cultural values, tailored to modern societal needs. Furthermore, they offer a fresh perspective on cross-cultural counseling practices, which could enhance counseling in Indonesia's diverse society.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of emotional regulation training on increasing subjective well-being in Special School Teachers (SLB). The subjects in this research were 20 SLB teachers. The hypothesis proposed in this research is that there is a difference in the subjective well-being of special school teachers who take emotional regulation training and special school teachers who do not take emotional regulation training. The research design used was a control group design. Quantitative analysis uses an independent sample t-test to determine whether or not there is an effect of emotion regulation training on increasing subjective well-being in the experimental group that was given emotion regulation training and the control group that was not given emotion regulation training. The results of the research, in the form of all aspects of subjective well-being, show that there are very significant differences, SLB teachers in the control group and the experimental group who were given treatment with the final subjective well-being test score in the form of life satisfaction with a value of p=0.003 (P<0.01), affect positive with a value of p=0.003 (P<0.01) and negative affect with a value of P=0.003 (P<0.01).

Abstract

This research was carried out using group counseling services provided by Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). The group counseling process aims to help mothers with multiple roles in maintaining their household and resolving the problems they face. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of 3 mothers with dual roles aged 33-46 years and working as cadres in OMS. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that cognitive and emotional strengthening efforts begin with the pre-counseling process, the initial stage, the work stage and the final stage. Mothers with multiple roles receive education and positive enthusiasm while participating in group counseling activities held at OMS. Apart from that, mothers with dual roles felt that while attending group counseling mothers with dual roles were able to solve problems because there were many solutions and motivation provided so that mothers with dual roles were able to think rationally in making decisions in an effort to maintain their household.

Abstract

In the era of Society 5.0, digital technology provides users with the opportunity to communicate and express themselves in unique ways. Some users choose to reveal their real identities, while others opt for anonymity to ensure security and confidentiality. This can be advantageous for the development of counselling media, as it can assist counselees in self-disclosure with ease and comfort. Arahcelah is a counselling medium developed to enhance client self-disclosure through an anonymous process. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the Arahcelah platform in the era of digital technology as a counselling medium in improving anonymous self-disclosure. The research method used is descriptive qualitative analysis of the counselling service process on the Arahcelah platform. This research demonstrates that Arahcelah can be an effective counselling medium, enhancing individual self-disclosure through five key roles: practicality, openness, confidentiality, empathy, and responsiveness. These roles align with Islamic values.

Abstract

Basic skills in counseling services are an important foundation that supports an effective and meaningful counseling process. These skills are at the core of interactions between counselors and counselees, helping individuals overcome personal problems, understand themselves, and transform into more positive individuals. Robert R. Carkhuff, a leading figure in the field of counseling, discusses the concept of these basic skills in his book "The Art of Helping". This book provides valuable guidance for counselors in understanding and developing the basic skills necessary to help individuals achieve growth and overcome problems. The concept of basic skills includes aspects such as empathy, active listening, providing constructive feedback, expressing feelings, and facilitating change. This research uses library research and content analysis methods to in-depth understand the concept of basic skills for counseling services according to Carkhuff. The results of the analysis provide insight into how these basic skills can be applied in counseling and their impact on counseling outcomes. Basic counseling skills are an essential element in forming strong relationships and helping individuals achieve positive change. The book "The Art of Helping" remains an important reference in the field of counseling and psychotherapy, providing valuable guidance for counselors and counseling students in developing the self-understanding and skills necessary to help individuals achieve growth and well-being.
