Abstract

The agropolitan concept is expected to boost farmers' welfare and increase the share of the agricultural sector in the regional gross domestic product (RGDP). The purpose of this study is to examine the distribution pattern of agricultural commodities in Buru Regency based on spatial autocorrelation and to determine agropolitan districts that can be developed based on the results of cluster and outlier analysis. This study uses secondary data and analyzes it using spatial autocorrelation and LQ analysis techniques. The results show that the LQ (Location Quetient) value for rice is relatively uniform in Buru Regency, with only three subdistricts statistically included in the high cluster. The LQ values for tubers are relatively concentrated in Buru Regency, and the High High cluster values for several areas indicate that there are areas with LQ values > 1 in two other subdistricts that function as buffers. Clove LQ values > 1 are found in eight subdistricts in Buru Regency, with only two subdistricts statistically included in the high clove production cluster, while other areas function as buffers. Coconut LQ values > 1 are found in ten subdistricts in Buru Regency, with only five subdistricts statistically included in the high coconut production cluster, while other areas serve as buffers.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the influence of Debt Default, Company Growth, Solvency, and Audit Delay on the acceptance of the Going Concern audit opinion. It also evaluates the role of Auditor Reputation as a moderating variable in strengthening or weakening the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. The population consists of all hotel, resort, and cruise ship companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019–2023 period, totaling 30 companies. This study uses secondary data obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with sample selection conducted using the census sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using Eviews software. The results indicate that Debt Default (X1), Company Growth (X2), and Solvency (X3) have a positive and significant effect on Going Concern Audit Opinion (Y). Meanwhile, Audit Delay (X4) has a negative but insignificant effect. Furthermore, Auditor Reputation (Z) significantly moderates the relationship between Solvency (X3) and Going Concern Audit Opinion (Y) with a weakening moderation effect, but does not significantly moderate the effects of Debt Default (X1), Company Growth (X2), and Audit Delay (X4).

Abstract

This study examines the effect of solvency, profitability, and public accounting firm (PAF) size on audit delay, with the going concern audit opinion as a moderating variable. The sample consists of property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. Secondary data were obtained from annual reports, financial statements, and audit reports published by the IDX. Panel data regression analysis was conducted using EViews software. The results show that solvency, profitability, and PAF size have positive and significant effects on audit delay. Furthermore, the going concern audit opinion moderates the relationship between financial characteristics and audit delay with varying effects. Specifically, the going concern audit opinion weakens the effect of solvency on audit delay but is not statistically significant. In contrast, it significantly strengthens the positive effect of profitability on audit delay. Meanwhile, the moderating effect of the going concern audit opinion on the relationship between PAF size and audit delay is negative but insignificant. These findings highlight the importance of financial characteristics and auditor-related factors in explaining audit delay in the property and real estate sector.

Abstract

The Karawo Center in Gorontalo Regency has an important role in the development of a creative industry based on local culture. Although the demand for Karawo products tends to increase, the management of production costs at the Small and Medium Industries (SMEs) scale still faces various obstacles, especially related to efficiency and cost control. This study aims to analyze the application of production cost management strategies based on the management function of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC) in Karawo Business Source SMEs in Mongolato Village, Gorontalo Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants include business owners, production managers, and Karawo craftsmen. The data was analyzed by examining the application of POAC functions in managing raw material costs, labor, and overhead costs. The results of the study show that production cost management is still carried out simply and has not been integrated into a systematic management function. Cost planning has not been carried out before production, labor organization has not been optimal, production implementation still causes inefficiencies, and cost control has not been implemented in a sustainable manner. This study concludes that the implementation of POAC-based production cost management can be an important strategy in increasing efficiency and supporting the sustainable development of the Karawo Center.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of investor sentiment and market uncertainty on the volatility of gold sector stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Although gold stocks are often perceived as a hedging asset, stock price fluctuations in this sector exhibit relatively high volatility, especially during periods of market uncertainty. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design and utilizes secondary data in the form of panel data. The research sample consists of gold sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2015–2024 period, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Stock volatility is measured using the standard deviation of stock returns, investor sentiment is proxied by the stock trading activity indicator, and market uncertainty is measured using the market volatility indicator. Data analysis was conducted using panel data regression with a fixed effects approach, accompanied by testing for moderating effects. The results show that investor sentiment has a positive and significant effect on gold sector stock volatility. Furthermore, market uncertainty also has a positive effect on stock volatility and is proven to strengthen the influence of investor sentiment on gold sector stock volatility. These findings support the behavioral finance perspective that emphasizes the role of non-fundamental factors in stock market dynamics. This research provides an empirical contribution in enriching the behavioral finance literature in the context of emerging markets and provides practical implications for investors, issuers, and regulators in managing capital market risk and stability.

Abstract

Childhood trauma and social support are two critical constructs that significantly shape adult emotional health and interpersonal relationships. While studies have used different predictors to examine relationship satisfaction among different populations and samples, one group that has been understudy especially in the Nigerian setting is the young adults. Therefore, this study examines the predictive roles of childhood trauma and social support on relationship satisfaction among young adults in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The study adopted cross-sectional survey design while purposive sampling technique was used to select youth samples from five communities. Data were conveniently collected from 278 participants using validated questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression to test one hypothesis which was accepted at p = .001 level of significance. The result revealed that childhood trauma and social support jointly predicted relationship satisfaction among study participants, R2 = .248, F (2,275) = 31.56, p=.001. Furthermore, the result indicated childhood trauma (β = .243, t = 2.74, p = .007) and social support (β = .328, t = 3.73, p =.001) independently predicted relationship satisfaction among study participants. The study concludes that childhood trauma and social support are robust predictors of relationship satisfaction among young adults in the Port Harcourt metropolis. The study recommends that parents should foster nurturing and supportive environments and actively build and maintain strong social support networks that would help them cope with challenges and enhance their relationship satisfaction.
