Abstract

As more people in Indonesia become concerned about their health, body image, and natural eating habits, herbal weight loss teas are gaining popularity. This creates a competitive market, making it crucial to understand the drivers of consumer purchasing interest. The purpose of this study is to determine the external factors specifically, social and technological factors that affect Indonesian consumers' interest in buying weight loss tea. based on the understanding that purchasing interest is a stage in the purchasing decision process, where consumers form preferences for a product and intend to purchase in the future. Previous research has focused more on internal attributes so there is still a gap in seeing how external factors influence consumer purchasing interest. Using a quantitative methodology and an explanatory research design, this study collected data from 100 respondents who were worried about their weight. The degree to which many independent factors partially and simultaneously affect the dependent variable was ascertained using multiple linear regression analysis. The findings demonstrated that purchasing interest is positively and significantly impacted by sociocultural and technological aspects. According to the regression model, these two independent variables account for 24.2% of the variation in consumer purchasing interest. The results reflect that influencing purchasing interest, Consumers not only consider the benefits of the product but also match their choices with social trends, and cultural values, as well as the encouragement of technological progress.

Abstract

The digital economic transformation and the implementation of Industry 4.0 have become a primary urgency in accelerating regional development, particularly in enhancing digital connectivity, local economic development, and the quality of human resources (HR) in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the role of technology and Industry 4.0 in driving digital-based economic progress in Gorontalo City and to evaluate its effectiveness in three main aspects: digital connectivity, local economy, and HR strengthening. Using a mixed-method approach with an explanatory design, data were collected through questionnaires, observations, documentation, and focus group discussions (FGD) from 20 respondents consisting of local government agencies (OPD), the public, and relevant stakeholders. The analysis was conducted using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) method and the qualitative technique of the Miles & Huberman model. The results show that the impact of technology on the local economy and digital connectivity was deemed quite effective, although improvements are still needed, particularly in infrastructure and access equity. Meanwhile, the strengthening of HR and digital skills-based employment is still categorized as less effective and remains a top priority for improvement. Therefore, it is recommended that the government expand digital training, strengthen cross-sector partnerships, and promote inclusive policies to ensure that digital transformation progresses equitably and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of related party transactions (RPTs) on the performance of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2020-2021. This highlights the ongoing concerns over the potential for fraud associated with RPTs, which can create significant agency problems, particularly between controlling shareholders and minority shareholders. This study confirms that RPTs can have both positive and negative impacts on economic performance, depending on how they are managed. While strong indications emerge from the literature that RPTs enhance firm value through effective resource allocation, there are important risks such as tunneling practices that can exploit minority shareholders. This methodology employs quantitative analysis using multiple regression on data from 30 selected manufacturing companies. Key findings reveal a significant positive relationship between RPTs and return on assets (ROA), confirming that related party transactions can generate financial benefits by maximizing profits while minimizing transaction costs. In addition, firm size and leverage are identified as crucial factors influencing performance, indicating that larger firms with substantial asset bases generally achieve better profitability metrics. Overall, this study underlines the complexity of related party dynamics within the corporate governance framework and suggests regulatory measures to protect the interests of minority shareholders while leveraging RPTs for corporate growth.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of ASN performance assessments based on the Digital ASN Application at the Energy and Mineral Resources Office of Lampung Province, as well as to assess the understanding of ASN and the effectiveness of its application. The study uses an evaluative descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The results of the study indicate that the Digital ASN Application has been implemented in accordance with regulations and is able to improve transparency and administrative efficiency in performance assessments. However, its use is still administrative in nature and not yet optimal as a strategic performance management tool due to limitations in training, variations in civil servants' capabilities, and the misalignment of performance indicators with organizational goals. This study concludes that optimizing the application requires strengthening civil servants' competencies, refining performance indicators, and leadership support to sustainably improve civil servants' performance.
