Abstract

This research aims to uncover the meaning of profit from the perspective of Canang traders. This research uses qualitative research methods with phenomenology as a research approach. Data collection techniques involve observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informant in this study is a Canang trader conducting business on Ismail Marzuki Street, Cakranegara District, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara. The result of the survey indicates that profit, based on the awareness of Canang traders, is interpreted as holistic profits. This means that profit encompasses not only material elements such as savings or reserves to increase business capital, meet the family’s economic needs, pay installments, and support social activities in the community. However, profits also contain humanist elements in the form of profits in the form of spiritual activities, namely the obedience in creating canang and offerings to express gratitude and devotion to God for all the blessings and sustenance provided; profit in the form of “karmaphala”, where everything obtained in business is believed to stem from the goodness or badness of one’s actions; and profits in the form of happiness derived from positive customer responses, including trust, satisfaction, and pleasure.

The population in the study were all people who had understood the quality of PPG program services in five universities. Sampling respondents using purposive sampling technique as many as 115 adult respondents. The attributes in the questionnaire were adapted from Hasanah et al including the dimensions of the quality of service of educational institutions tangibles, reliabilities responsiveness assurance and empathy. The final stage of the research has formed a map of the position of each PPG program in five universities. This activity is the beginning of efforts to create the competitiveness of each PPG program in the Soloraya region to welcome the era of achieving SDGS' goals. Abstract

The mud disaster that has occurred in Sidoarjo Regency since May 29 2006 was an event of hot gas and mud coming out of the ground with a temperature of 100°C which has occurred in several villages in Sidoarjo Regency. Before the disaster occurred, Porong was a productive area because there were many rice fields, shops, and factories. The three districts affected by the Sidoarjo mudflow, namely Porong District, Tanggulangin District, and Jabon District, previously in 2005, based on satellite imagery, had the form of a spreading Green Open Space (RTH). Based on these problems, it is necessary to identify a typology of Green Open Space in the Sidoarjo Mud Disaster Area. This study discusses the physical typology and function of Green Open Space (RTH) in the sidoarjo mudflow disaster area using the Descriptive-Qualitative Analysis method. Based on the results of the identification of natural Green Open Spaces (RTH) located in the Sidoarjo Mud Disaster Area, only a protected area is found in parts of the Jabon District, namely in Wisata Bahari Tlocor which is located in the Tlocor, Tanjungsari, Kupang, Jabon District with an area of 1.40 Ha which is enter the Protected Area.

Abstract

The cornerstone of caution in SACCO practice is corporate risk management, and important ideas among SACCOs in Uganda are board risk management and financial performance. The study's goal was to examine how board risk management affected the financial results of particular SACCOS in the Kiruhura District. This study used a cross-sectional survey research design using a quantitative research methodology. The sample size consisted of 184 respondents, staff and members from the six SACCOs registered in the Kiruhura area of Uganda as of January 2023. A total population of 342 persons was used at a confidence level of 95% or error of 0.05. Two stages separated the data that was collected for analysis. First, SPSS version 20.0 was used to conduct the preliminary data analysis and descriptive statistics on the respondents. In the second phase, structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to evaluate and investigate the structural relationships between the variables in the proposed conceptual model. These statistics included multicollinearity, mean and standard deviation, outliers and extreme values, and missing data. SEM was implemented using Jaffrey's Amazing Statistical Program (JASP) version 0.17.2.0. The study's conclusions were: The financial management of savings and credit co-operative societies (SACCOs) in Uganda was found to be significantly positively impacted by board risk management (BRM) (=1.322**), boosting Ha, The study concludes that SACCOs would experience greater financial gains or better financial performance if they are more stringent about the processes they follow to review their risk profile and the policies they put in place. The study recommends that;SACCOs risk management committees of the board should be very effective in influencing the corporate risk management practices adopted within the SACCOs and that SACCOs should improve on the levels of BRM to achieve favorable financial results by applying careful attention to governmental regulations, rules and policies.

Abstract

Malnutrition is an imbalance in a person's energy intake or nutrition. Stunting is one of the nutritional problems in toddlers, where stunting is a condition of growth failure in children under five caused by malnutrition. In Indonesia, East Nusa Tenggara Province has the highest number of toddlers with stunting cases. Therefore, efforts are needed to reduce the number of stunting, especially in East Nusa Tenggara. Several factors are thought to be closely related to the high number of stunting in toddlers. This study aims to find factors that can significantly explain stunting in East Nusa Tenggara to help accelerate the decrease in the number of stunting. This study will explore stunting data from the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2021 for data on East Nusa Tenggara and the Central Statistics Agency of East Nusa Tenggara Province. The appropriate modelling for the number of stunting is the Poisson regression model because the number of stunting is in the form of count data. The proper modelling for stunting cases in toddlers is the Poisson regression model because stunting cases in toddlers are in the form of count data. There is an overdispersion problem to overcome overdispersion in the Poisson regression model; a more suitable Poisson regression model is used as an alternative model. Furthermore, the Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) method estimates the model's parameters. The results showed that the complete immunization variable, pregnant women get nutritional counselling variable, the variable low birth weight babies and the variable of families with beneficiary status had a significant effect on the number of stunting in East Nusa Tenggara.

The results showed that the research variables showed that the leading by example and coordination variables and employee performance had valid criteria, as well as for data reliability testing, that leading by example and coordination and employee performance were reliable criteria. For the results of the regression equation Y = 12,650 + 0,610X1 + 0,993X2, there is a positive direction coefficient of leading by example and coordination on employee performance. The hypothesized results found that leading by example and coordination have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Leading by example and being able to encourage coordination by creating positive and collaborative relationships that improve employee satisfaction, engagement and performance. Abstract

The study aims to test the impact of earnings management on tax aggressiveness in manufacturing companies by reducing pre-tax profits. The size of the profits obtained will determine the amount of tax expense paid by the company based on the tax rate imposed on those profits. The study was conducted on 43 companies that were selected by means of non-probability sampling methods using purposive sampling. Data analysis uses Pearson's correlation approach. Research findings show that earnings management has no significant impact on tax aggressiveness in a negative direction. This means that the lower the corporate tax aggressiveness, the higher the company's tendency to manage earnings by reducing profits. Companies cannot increase profits through earnings management at the same time as tax aggressiveness, thereby reducing corporate profits to reduce the tax expense to be paid. So increases and decreases in earnings management are a relationship or a condition of a trade-off that cannot occur simultaneously. The research is expected to provide information related to the profile of tax aggressiveness in manufacturing companies, so it can serve as a guideline in formulating management policies for companies.
