Abstract

The study aims to examine how religiosity, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) usage, and the environment impact the sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Muslim community of Tasikmalaya, Indonesia. It also investigates how motivation and competitive advantage act as intermediary factors affecting this relationship. The research employs a quantitative path analysis method, collecting data through questionnaires from Muslim MSME owners and managers in Tasikmalaya. The findings indicate that religiosity, ICT usage, environment, motivation, and competitive advantage all significantly affect MSME sustainability. Moreover, religiosity, ICT usage, and environmental factors notably influence motivation and competitive advantage. Motivation and competitive advantage serve as mediators between religiosity, ICT usage, environment, and MSME sustainability. This study contributes to understanding the impact of religiosity on MSME sustainability in Tasikmalaya and sheds light on the environmental factors affecting MSMEs in Muslim communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Transfer Pricing, Capital Intensity Ratio, Institutional Ownership on the practice of Tax Aggressiveness. The dependent variable used in this study is Tax Aggressiveness while the independent variables are Transfer Pricing, Capital Intensity Ratio, Institutional Ownership. The population in this study are Real and Estate companies listed on the IDX for the 2018-2021 period. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling so that a total sample of 48 companies was obtained with a total data of 192. The data analysis technique in this study used Multiple Linear Regression Analysis with SPSS 25. The results of the show that Transfer Pricing has an effect on tax aggressiveness, companies that carry out transaction with related parties have a tendency to practice tax aggressiveness. The Capital Intensity Ratio affects the practice of tax aggressiveness, the Capital Intensity Ratio can show a company’s efficiency in using its assets so that it can be used as a method of minimizing the tax burden that must be paid by the company. Institutional Ownership does not affect the practice of tax aggressiveness, Institutional Ownership has an important role in the company to monitor the performance of managers, so that managers do not dare to act aggressively to practice tax aggressiveness. Abstract

Equality in politics is necessary to improve the welfare of both men and women. The Gender Empowerment Index or IPG of Lampung Province in 2020 was 90,330; in 2021, it was 90,370; in 2022, it was 90,580. This increase was followed by an increase in the Human Development Index (HDI) in 2021 by 69.90, in 2022 by 70.45, in 2023 by 71.15. The average length of schooling increased from 8.08 in 2021, 8.18 in 2022, and 8.29 in 2023. Gender equality improves well-being and education. This study explains the gender gap in education in Semende ethnicity and its impact on patriarchal values that hinder the development of gender equality in the political field. The research was conducted with qualitative methods of gender approaches on access, control, participation and benefits. Data was collected through interviews and secondary data. The results showed that formal education has yet to be able to exclude students from patriarchal culture. In addition, education within the family and environment strengthens patriarchal culture. Factors of educational facilities, the number of teachers, the distance of schools from settlements, and language and ethnic values are obstacles to developing gender equality education. In addition, the development of gender equality in Semende Ethnicity shrinks the roles of women in politics.

Abstract

The low production of palm oil in Indonesia may be caused by various factors including the low quality of human resources and the organizational culture of oil palm plantation companies. This study examines the relationship between organizational culture and work performance through the competence of managers in palm oil companies in Indonesia. The sample of this study were all managers of private oil palm plantation companies, so the number of samples studied was 100 respondents, and data analysis techniques using analysis with Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the study that external adaptation (X1) gives a positive and significant impact on work performance (Z1), external adaptation (X1) gives a positive and significant impact on company performance (Y) internal integration (X2) does not give a positive and insignificant impact on Work performance (Z1) Internal Integration (X2) does not give a positive and significant impact on the Company Performance (Y), Basic Assumptions (X3) give a positive and significant impression on Work performance (Z1), Basic Assumptions (X3) do not give an impression positive and not significant to the Company Performance (Y), Self-Esteem (Z2) gives a positive and significant impression to the Company Performance (Y), Work performance (Z1) as a gap modifier has a positive and significant effect in showing the effect of External Adaptation (X1) on the Company Performance (Y), Work performance (Z1) as a gap modifier does not give a positive effect and is not significant in showing the effect of Internal Integration (X2) on Company Performance (Y), Work performance (Z1) as a modifier of the gap has a positive and significant effect in showing the impression of the Basic Assumptions (X3) on Company Performance (Y), Self-Esteem (Z2) as a simplification of does not have a positive and insignificant impression of the Company Performance (Y)

Abstract

The spread of the Korean Wave phenomenon around the word, one of which is Korean drama, is not only entertainment but also financial education. One of them is the Korean drama Squid Game which depicts extreme financial situations and games involting large amounts of money that can affect the audience’s perceptions and attitudes towards financial planning. This research aims to understand the social interaction of viewers of the squid game drama in financial planning. This research uses an interpretive paradigm and netnography as a research methodology. Researchers collected data passively and used multiple online platforms, including Instagram and TikTok. The data was analyzed using Coding, Noting, and Abstracting. The results of this research show that the social interaction of viewers of the Korean drama Squid Game in financial planning does not only focus on material aspects but also non-material aspects. In material terms, financial planning is used to gain profits, foster an anticipatory attitude, utilize debt, and reduce risk. On the other hand, financial planning in non-material terms is used to increase financial awareness, foster qana'ah, and foster rational and religious spiritual attitudes by paying attention to the welfare and happiness of the family while still thinking about the afterlife.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse research developments related to merit-based recruitment. Bibliometric analysis was used to determine the dynamics of research topics related to merit-based recruitment using the Scopus database until from January 2002 to October 2023 using 159 filtered articles as a basis for conducting a systematic review. Despite article growing slowly from 2002 to 2014, in recent years the research has significantly expanded. From 2014 to 2023, every year 7-17 articles are published, meanwhile, before 2014, research each year only produced 3-5 articles or even none at all. In terms of citation, the article published from 2004 to 2018 most cited. Article of Dahlstorm, Lapuente, and Teorell (2012) was the highest citation document and become a significant article to referenced about merit-based recruitment. The findings show based on systematic review that merit-based recruitment is are strongly associated with higher to government quality. Mapping indicates the factors affecting government quality include public service motivation, integrity, motivating factors, organizational compliance, workforce diversity, political consideration, efficiency management, level of expertise of administration personnel, innovative learning. Meanwhile, merit-based recruitment is strongly associated to lower political settlement, patron-client relationship, corruption, and nepotism. Also, from the systematic review, the selection methods include written exams and interviews based on criteria including educational qualifications, training and relevant work experience.

Abstract

The effectiveness of government's regional drinking water company (PDAM) in Tidore Islands City depends heavily on the quality of its human resources, which is critical for overcoming challenges and capitalizing on opportunities. The purpose of this study is to investigate the difficulties faced by PDAM in Tidore Islands City concerning the quality of their human resources and service delivery. The study suggests strategies for enhancing human resource development and promoting a culture of integrity to improve organizational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This study employs a qualitative, descriptive methodology. Integrating the PDCA concept and model in human resource development at the Tidore Islands City PDAM has substantially improved training procedures, assessment, and evaluation. However, some areas require further development, particularly in aligning training activities with organizational objectives and addressing policy implementation gaps. Training initiatives, guided by the toma loa se banari culture, aim to improve employee competence, professionalism, and service quality, emphasizing the significance of ongoing training to meet changing company needs and ensure quality service delivery.

Abstract

The Influence of Consumer Relations and Interactive Marketing towards Consumer Loyalty with Consumer Satisfaction as a Mediating Variable (Case Study of Es Teh Indonesia in Madiun City).This thesis was based on several things which should be considered to create customer satisfaction and loyalty. One of the things which could create consumer satisfaction and loyalty is building good relationships and interactive marketing with consumers. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of consumer relations, interactive marketing towards consumer loyalty, consumer satisfaction as a mediating variable for Es Teh Indonesia consumers in Madiun City. The research sample was 384 respondents. The research method used was a quantitative approach using purposive sampling techniques and using the SPSS version 23 program. The results of this research are that consumer relations do not have a significant effect towards consumer loyalty. Interactive Marketing has a significant effect towards Consumer Loyalty. Consumer Relations, Interactive Marketing has a significant effect towards Consumer Satisfaction. Consumer Satisfaction has a significant effect towards Consumer Loyalty. Consumer Relations, Interactive Marketing has a significant effect towards Consumer Loyalty with Consumer Satisfaction as a mediating variable.

Abstract

Human resource management is currently the most important factor and asset of a company. This study aims to determine the Effect of Work Performance and Employee Loyalty on Promotion at the Nuansa Mandiri Women's Cooperative in Semarang. The independent variable is Job Performance (X1), Employee Loyalty (X2), and the dependent variable is Promotion (Y). The population of this study was all employees of the Nuansa Mandiri Women's Cooperative in Semarang amounting to 302 people and for the sample using the Simple random sampling technique it was known to be 75 people. Data collection techniques are quantitative methods using questionnaires. For instrument testing using Validity test, Reliability test, and classical Assumption test. For data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression analysis methods with t test, Model Feasibility test and Coefficient of Determination (R2). The results of the study using multiple linear regression showed the regression equation as follows: Y = 7.040 + 0.342X1 + 0.323X2. From the t test, it is known that for the Job Performance variable (X 1) a calculated t value of 2.833 is obtained with a significance level of 0.000, because t count 2.833 > t table 1.665; significance is less than 0.05 (0.006<0.05), then the Job Performance variable has a positive and significant effect on promotion, the variable Employee Loyalty (X2) obtained a calculated t value of 2.979 with a significance level of 0.000, because t count 2.979> t table 1.665; significance is less than 0.05 (0.004<0.05), then the variable Employee Loyalty has a positive and significant effect on promotion. The main advice for company leaders is expected to pay attention to the work performance of employees, in this case company leaders must encourage employees in carrying out work willing to do overtime hours if there is work that has not been fully completed.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the role of government, community, and marketing strategies in the development of tourism in Tidore Islands City, Indonesia. The study focuses on the importance of sustainable tourism development and the factors that contribute to it. 398 respondents were collected using accidental sampling. This research uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The regression analysis revealed significant findings regarding the impact of various factors on tourism development and tourist visiting decisions. Both the marketing mix and local government policies exhibited significant effects on tourism development. Community involvement did not show a significant impact on tourism development. Regarding tourist visiting decisions, only government policies were found to have a significant effect. Community involvement did not significantly influence tourist visiting decisions, while tourism development itself did not significantly affect these decisions either. Tourism development mediated the influence of the marketing mix, government policies, and community involvement on tourist visiting decisions.
