Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the science learning carried out for fourth grade students at SDN Talabiu for the 2020/2021 academic year during the Covid-19 period. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach where the researcher emphasizes on humans and sees firsthand the existing situation without changing the events that occur in the field. As for the subject in this study is the learning activities of class IV students. The main instrument used in this study were interviews and direct observation of activities carried out in the learning process. The results of the interview will be analyzed qualitatively through several stages starting from data reduction activities, data display, and conclusions or verification. The results showed that the learning process was carried out for fourth grade students at SDN Talabiu. At the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak, the school had used the online method, by means of a WA group. But it turns out that using the online system or studying at home is not effective, the ineffectiveness can be seen from the students themselves who do not understand how to use the application, and finally schools are closed. After Covid-19 was seen to be preventable by complying with health protocols, schools were active again by using rules or offline (face-to-face) methods. But still comply with health protocols, and use a shift learning system.

Abstract

The purpose of the analysis of the feasibility of the contents of the mathematics learning textbooks for fourth grade SD/MI students in the Mediatama issue of Angle Measurement material is to determine the accuracy and suitability in the preparation of student textbooks based on KI and KD. The method in this writing uses a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used in this research is a documentary study with a content analysis approach. This data collection was carried out to determine the condition of students' textbooks in learning mathematics for grade IV SD/MI and their suitability with K-13. This is done as an effort to improve the quality of student textbooks in grade IV SD/MI mathematics learning used by educators and fourth grade students of SD/MI. In this paper, the documentation guidelines used are based on the knowledge and skills dimensions set by BSNP. Furthermore, data collection uses a scoring technique. This technique is done by putting a checklist on the scoring sheet according to the assessment criteria. The next data analysis technique is to calculate the percentage of each aspect. The results of the analysis on mathematics learning textbooks for grade IV SD/MI on Angle Measurement material published by Mediatama are as follows: (1) The feasibility of the knowledge dimension is 96% or in the very feasible category. (2) Eligibility on the skill dimension is 91% or in the very feasible category.

Abstract

Numerical ability is also the ability to use various kinds of numbers and symbols related to basic mathematics to solve everyday life problems, the ability to analyze information that is displayed in various forms (graphs, tables, charts, etc.). Unfortunately, reality shows that students' numeracy skills are not maximized. Based on the results of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) for Indonesia, mathematics scores are below average. According to Kompas.com, the average PISA score of OECD (The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) members has continued to decline over the last three years. Indonesia is ranked 74th out of 79 countries, while for the assessment of mathematical ability and scientific ability, Indonesia is ranked 73rd and 71st of the 79 participating countries. It was also found that the gender gap in performance inequality in learning performance between women and men is not large. Female students outperformed male students in all areas of PISA. This research is a descriptive research. To find out students' numeracy skills by using AKM questions. The research subjects were students at SDN Talabiu upper class (grade 4,5,6) as many as 36 people. Based on the research that has been done, based on the percentage of the results of the problem solving which is then adjusted to the category, the numeracy ability of female students is in the high category of 18%, while male students are 12.5%. This shows that the numeracy skills of female students are better than male students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the books being recalled and disturbing the world of education, not just general textbooks. However, there are also religious books that were withdrawn from circulation because they contained deviant teachings. The aim is to describe the character values in the 2013 curriculum theme 5 My Experience and the benefits of this research can be used as a reference for improving character through an integration model in elementary school subject matter and also as a reference in the improvement of subsequent books and used as a guide for book users. 2013 curriculum text. This research is a Content Analysis research with the sub-theme subject in the 2013 Curriculum Textbook, My Experience theme. As the object of research is the character values contained in the textbook. This research technique was carried out by analyzing and recording carefully the 2013 Curriculum Theme 5 My Experience textbook in the first semester of the second semester of Elementary School. The content analysis technique used in this study uses a content analysis technique consisting of six steps. The six steps are, "Unitizing, sampling, recording, reducing, inferring, narrating".

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of learning using the science content inquiry learning model in fifth grade students of SD Negeri 004 Sungai Kunjang. The background of this research is that science learning in class V SD Negeri 004 Sungai Kunjang is still relatively low. This study uses qualitative research with the subject of class V SD Negeri Sungai Kunjang. In collecting data the researchers used the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. To test the validity of the data used credibility test with triangulation technique. Based on the results of the research, planning for inquiry learning in class V SDN 004 Sungai Kunjang in planning learning the teacher makes or designs learning by making lesson plans that will be implemented. In making the RPP the teacher is said to be good because in making the RPP the teacher has included the steps of inquiry learning. The implementation of inquiry learning in class V SDN 004 Sungai Kunjang is said to be good because the teacher carries out learning according to the steps of inquiry learning. In addition to the teacher making lesson plans, the teacher also plans to make group work sheets (LKK) and student worksheets (LKS). In making LKS the teacher determines the main questions that are in accordance with the learning material. In the evaluation of inquiry learning the teacher evaluates using process evaluation and evaluation of results that make it easier for teachers to evaluate the inquiry learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problem solving ability and interest in student learning after the PBL learning model is applied. This type of research is descriptive research. The subjects of this study were second semester students, totaling 90 students. The instrument used in measuring students' problem-solving abilities was using essay test questions and to measure interest in learning was a questionnaire. To analyze the data using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the problem-solving ability in the very high category was 18 students, for the high category there were 68 students and the sufficient category was 4 people. For interest in learning, the very high category was 59 students, for the high category there were 31 students. Thus, the application of PBL in PAI learning is able to provide good results on problem solving abilities and student interest in learning.

Abstract

Kurikulum pendidikan formal, termasuk pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar yang dinamis membuat tidak hanya guru, namun juga calon guru perlu dipersiapkan memahami kurikulum yang baru. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa calon guru sekolah dasar terkait kurikulum merdeka dan mengetahui pengalaman belajar mereka terkait kurikulum tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif, sehingga terfokus pada menjelaskan keadaan yang sebenarnya tanpa dilakukan perlakuan. Teknik random sampling digunakan untuk memperoleh sampel mahasiswa sebanyak 152 orang dengan tingkat semester berbeda. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa semester I, III, dan V memiliki tingkat pemahaman yang bervariasi terhadap kurikulum merdeka, namun semakin tinggi semester maka semakin besar kecenderungan mereka untuk memahami kurikulum merdeka. Sebagian besar pengalaman belajar kurikulum tersebut mereka peroleh dari hampir seluruh mata kuliah yang ada di program studi yang telah mengintegrasikan pemahaman kurikulum merdeka di dalamnya. Namun, penggunaan Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) pada tingkat mahasiswa masih rendah.

Abstract

Understanding fundamental mathematical concepts, particularly the area of plane figures, is crucial for students of the elementary school teacher education study program. Despite learning these concepts since elementary school, many of them still struggle to fully understand it. This study aims to identify the mathematical prior knowledge students in the area of plane figures and the types of errors they make using the Newman Error Analysis (NEA) approach. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method with instruments comprising essay tests and interviews. The study subjects consisted of 35 students from an elementary school teacher education study program in East Kalimantan. Results reveal that 67.7% of the students possess moderate mathematical prior knowledge, while the rest fall into the low and high categories. The most common errors occur in the comprehension and transformation stages, indicating difficulties in understanding problems and converting information into mathematical forms. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of appropriate learning strategies or models to strengthen students' understanding of basic mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The lack of learning interest of SDN 008 Sungai Kunjang grade III students, especially in the subject of PPKn, prompted this study to examine the effect of implementing learning video media on increasing students' learning interest. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used included data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The study results showed that using creative and interactive learning video media can increase students' interest, motivation, and participation in PPKn learning. Learning videos are considered effective in facilitating students' understanding of the material, as well as increasing their enthusiasm and involvement in the learning process. In addition, the findings of this study indicate that learning videos have great potential to be an alternative media that is more interesting and motivating for students, especially in the context of PPKn learning. Based on these findings, it is recommended that teachers use relevant learning videos and the needs of the material to improve the quality of the learning process in the classroom.

Abstract

The readiness of prospective elementary school teachers in compiling teaching modules for the Independent Curriculum is crucial in elementary school learning. The process of compiling teaching modules is a challenge for prospective elementary school teachers. This study aims to determine the challenges and readiness in compiling teaching modules. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires. The subjects of the study consisted of 38 students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program in East Kalimantan. The results of the readiness of prospective elementary school teachers in compiling teaching modules based on the Independent Curriculum are generally at a fairly good level, with the majority of students showing adequate understanding of the steps in compiling teaching modules. The implications of this study indicate the need for adjustments in the teaching approach in higher education, with a focus on strengthening practical skills through learning methods such as project-based learning and mentoring
