Abstract

The dynamic regulatory landscape presents significant challenges for International Standard Schools (SBI) in Indonesia, impacting their ability to meet global educational standards while integrating local cultural values. This study aims to explore the regulatory challenges faced by SBIs and their implications for educational quality and cultural integration. The method used is library research, which involves reviewing relevant literature and studies on regulations and the implementation of international standard programs. The findings reveal that although SBIs strive to provide high-quality education and facilities in line with international standards, they are often hindered by fluctuating regulations and inadequate financial support. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of a consistent and supportive regulatory framework, sustainable funding sources, and the adoption of an inclusive curriculum that respects local cultural values. These insights offer valuable implications for policymakers, educational institutions, and stakeholders, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to enhance the stability and effectiveness of SBIs in Indonesia. By addressing these challenges, SBIs can better fulfill their role in providing internationally competitive education while preserving Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the role of the family in improving the quality of Islamic religious education for early childhood. Through a qualitative approach with a literature study method, this research examines how parents and other family members form an environment that supports early learning of Islam. The researcher collected information and data from various relevant written sources, such as books, journal articles, research reports, and other sources related to this topic. The results show that the role of the family in Islamic religious education is very significant, especially in providing examples, habituation, and the introduction of Islamic values from an early age. With parents' active involvement in teaching daily worship and guiding morality according to Islamic teachings, children tend to show a better understanding of religious values and Islamic behaviour. This study suggests the need for a mentoring programme for families in early childhood religious education to strengthen the synergy between families and educational institutions.

Abstract

This research discusses about giving punishment through reading and memorizing the Al-Qur'an as a strategy for dealing with juvenile delinquency. Juvenile delinquency is an increasingly disturbing issue in modern society, considering its negative impact on individual and social development. The aim of this research is to explore the effectiveness of implementing Al-Qur'an-based punishment in dealing with juvenile deviant behavior. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and document analysis. The research results show that giving punishment through reading and memorizing the Al-Qur'an can have a positive impact on adolescent behavior. The Qur'an not only serves as a source of punishment, but also as a moral and spiritual guide, providing a deeper understanding of the values of correct life. Applying punishment through reading and memorizing the Koran can also have long-term effects, because teenagers are not only given physical sanctions, but also the opportunity to reflect on their actions through understanding relevant verses of the Koran. Thus, this approach can be a potential alternative in tackling juvenile delinquency, creating a younger generation who is more responsible and has noble character. This research contributes to further understanding of the role of religion in shaping the character and behavior of adolescents and provides direction for related parties in developing juvenile delinquency prevention programs based on religious values.
