Abstract

The quality of education is a multidimensional concept shaped by several interrelated factors within the learning process. This study aims to examine the role of learning in improving the quality of education through four main aspects: the teacher's role as facilitator and motivator, active and innovative learning strategies, the integration of educational technology, and the implementation of Project Based Learning (PjBL). This research employed a literature study method with a qualitative descriptive approach, carried out through the stages of reading, comprehending, recording, and categorizing information from relevant journals. The findings show that teachers play an important role as facilitators who provide a conducive learning environment and as motivators who foster students' enthusiasm for learning. Active and innovative learning strategies, which combine creative methods with technology use, proved effective in enhancing student engagement and 21st-century skills. The integration of technology within the Kurikulum Merdeka also supported more personalized and meaningful learning, while project-based learning strengthened students' critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills. Improving the quality of education therefore requires synergy between teacher competence, innovative learning strategies, technological support, and student-centered learning models.

Abstract

Kemampuan computational thinking merupakan salah satu keterampilan abad ke-21 yang penting untuk dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran matematika karena mendukung kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah secara logis, sistematis, dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan computational thinking siswa sekolah dasar dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada materi pecahan dan satuan berat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan melibatkan lima siswa kelas VI sebagai subjek penelitian yang dipilih berdasarkan hasil tes awal. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes uraian HOTS dan dokumentasi hasil pekerjaan siswa. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa empat subjek mampu memenuhi seluruh indikator computational thinking, yaitu decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, dan algorithmic thinking dengan kategori sangat baik. Sementara itu, satu subjek masih mengalami kesulitan pada indikator pattern recognition sehingga memengaruhi proses penyelesaian masalah. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan computational thinking berperan penting dalam membantu siswa menyelesaikan soal matematika HOTS secara sistematis serta menjadi dasar pengembangan strategi pembelajaran yang mendukung keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Computational Thinking is an essential skill in mathematics learning that enables students to solve problems logically and systematically. This study aimed to describe the Computational Thinking process of elementary school students through solving open-ended mathematics problems on plane geometry. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving five fourth-grade students of SDN Ngadirejo 02 selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a written test consisting of one open-ended problem and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings showed that students' Computational Thinking abilities varied across the four indicators. Two students achieved the decomposition indicator, while three students had not achieved it optimally. Four students met the pattern recognition and abstraction indicators, whereas one student had not. All students demonstrated the algorithmic thinking indicator. The findings indicate that decomposition was the most challenging indicator in solving open-ended mathematics problems.

Abstract

This research intends to investigate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) as a learning medium to enhance the cognitive development of elementary school children. The method employed in this research is a simple literature review that examines several relevant scientific articles on the use of AI in elementary school instruction. The study results demonstrate that AI-based media like interactive multimedia, educational chatbots, adaptive learning systems, digital simulations, and digital comics contribute to the enhancement of students’ conceptual understanding, analytical skills, logical reasoning, working memory, problem-solving, and critical thinking. However, the efficacy of the AI is not dictated just by the sophistication of the technology but also by the compatibility of the media design to the child's cognitive development stage, teacher preparedness, and learning environment support. These results suggest that AI is better viewed as a supportive learning medium that gradually aids the learning process rather than replacing the teacher's function the learning process rather than replacing the function of the teacher. The application of AI in primary schools must be pedagogically, culturally, and adaptively structured to maximally promote the cognitive development of pupils.

Abstract

Profil Pelajar Pancasila merupakan salah satu tujuan utama dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka untuk membentuk peserta didik yang berkarakter, berakhlak mulia, bernalar kritis, kreatif, mandiri, bergotong royong, serta berkebinekaan global. Salah satu mata pelajaran yangmemiliki peran strategis dalam mewujudkan tujuan tersebut adalah Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pembelajaran PPKn dalam memperkuat Profil Pelajar Pancasila pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan mengkaji berbagai artikel ilmiah, buku, dan dokumen resmi yang relevan mengenai implementasipembelajaran PPKn dan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Data dikumpulkan melalui penelusuran literatur kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis) untuk memperoleh sintesis terhadap hasil penelitian terdahulu. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran PPKn berkontribusi dalam penguatan nilai-nilai karakter melalui penerapan pembelajaran yang kontekstual, pembiasaan sikap, kegiatan kolaboratif, serta integrasi nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam proses pembelajaran. Meskipun demikian, implementasinya masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, seperti keterbatasan kompetensi guru, kurang optimalnya pemanfaatan model pembelajaran inovatif, dan minimnya dukungan lingkungan belajar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sinergi antara guru, sekolah, orang tua, dan pemerintah agar penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila melalui pembelajaran PPKn di sekolah dasar dapat terlaksana secara optimal.

Abstract

The low literacy rate in rural areas is often triggered by limited access to reading materials and minimal community involvement in managing supporting facilities. This study aims to analyze the innovations implemented by Pangkur Village Library in driving literacy through a participatory approach and empowering the local community. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with library managers, village officials, and community leaders, as well as document analysis related to the library's work programs. The results show that Pangkur Village Library has successfully carried out transformation through three main innovations: (1) diversification of services based on social inclusion, (2) the use of digital technology to expand access to information, and (3) active collaboration with local communities (such as Karang Taruna and PKK) in organizing educational activities. Community empowerment is carried out by involving residents not just as book consumers, but also as the driving force behind literacy activities and mentors for practical skills.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed mathematics education by enabling more adaptive, personalized, and data-driven learning. However, systematic evidence on AI implementation specifically at the elementary school level remains limited. This study analyzes research trends, technologies used, contributions, and challenges of AI in elementary mathematics education through a Systematic Literature Review following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Literature was retrieved from Google Scholar and screened using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, yielding 32 eligible articles published between 2020 and 2024, analyzed through narrative synthesis. Findings show a growing research trend, with ChatGPT, Gemini, Intelligent Tutoring Systems, Adaptive Learning, Learning Analytics, and Machine Learning as the most frequently used technologies. AI implementation improves conceptual understanding,learning achievement, motivation, engagement, and Higher Order Thinking Skills(HOTS). However, teachers' digital competence, technological infrastructure, digital literacy, and ethical and data security issues remain major barriers.

Abstract

Evaluation of learning attitides is an importanr component in elementary education because education is not only oriented toward cognitive achievement but alsi toward the formation of students’ character. This article aims to analyze the concept , principles, techniques, and implementation of attitude evaluation in elementary school. The method used in this study is a literature review by analyzing varios books, educational guidelines, and relevant research article related to learning evaluatin and character education. The result of study show that attitude evaluarin in elementary school plays an important role in identifiying students;s spiritual and social development. Attitude assessment can be carried out thriugh observation, self-assessment, peer assessment, dan teacher journal. Effectve attitude evaluation requires objective, continuoes, comprehensive, transparent, and ecucational principles. However, teacher still face challenges such as limited time, large numbers of student, and difficulties in determinining objective indicators. Therfore, teachers need appropiate strategies and instrument to conduct attitude evaluation as part of sterngthening student character.

Abstract

Kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) penting dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran matematika karena menuntut siswa memahami informasi, menentukan strategi, melakukan perhitungan, dan menafsirkan hasil sesuai konteks permasalahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kesalahan siswa kelas V sekolah dasar dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita HOTS pada materi skala dan denah berdasarkan prosedur Newman. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas empat siswa kelas V SDN 01 Kedung Banteng yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis berupa satu soal cerita HOTS dan dokumentasi lembar jawaban siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan dan verifikasi kesimpulan. Analisis kesalahan dilakukan berdasarkan lima tahapan Newman, yaitu membaca, memahami masalah, transformasi, keterampilan proses, dan penulisan jawaban akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh subjek mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan baik pada setiap tahapan Newman. Tidak ditemukan kesalahan konseptual maupun prosedural dalam proses penyelesaian. Namun, terdapat ketidaktelitian penulisan pada dua subjek, yaitu kesalahan menuliskan informasi biaya dan ketidaktepatan penggunaan satuan. Kesalahan tersebut termasuk kesalahan penulisan (slip) dan tidak memengaruhi hasil akhir perhitungan. Dua subjek lainnya mampu menyelesaikan seluruh tahapan tanpa kesalahan. Dengan demikian, kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita HOTS pada materi skala dan denah tergolong baik. Guru perlu membiasakan siswa memeriksa kembali proses dan jawaban akhir untuk meminimalkan ketidaktelitian penulisan.

Abstract

One of the key tenets of Indonesia's national education system is character education, which attempts to mould the country's future generation to have noble character, reflect the Pancasila spirit, and be able to coexist peacefully in society. In addition to describing the role of the instructor, the creation of instructional materials, and their relationship to the development of students' social attitudes, this research attempts to analyse the application of character education reinforcement in Civics Education (PPKn) learning. Ten relevant literary sources are subjected to content analysis as part of the library research technique. The results show that students' social views are positively impacted by the incorporation of character education into civics education, which is bolstered by character-rich instructional materials and the active engagement of the instructor. The implementation of Pancasila ideals in school life is reinforced by the policy guidance provided by the Pancasila Student Profile. According to the study's findings, policy, educators, instructional resources, and the school setting must work together for character education to be successful.
