Abstract

This study aims to analyze elementary school students' learning difficulties in geometry and to identify their causes and alternative instructional strategies for teachers. A descriptive qualitative literature review was employed. Data were obtained by reviewing scientific articles and academic sources relevant to geometry learning, plane and solid figures, and mathematics learning difficulties at the elementary level. The data were analyzed through identification, reduction, classification, and synthesis of findings. The review indicates that students experience difficulties in understanding concepts, distinguishing properties of geometric figures, performing spatial visualization, applying perimeter, area, and volume formulas, and solving geometry word problems. These difficulties are influenced by internal factors, including weak conceptual understanding, limited prerequisite mathematical skills, low motivation, and lack of accuracy, as well as external factors, including less varied teaching methods, limited use of concrete media, and insufficient contextual learning experiences. Therefore, elementary geometry instruction should be concrete, gradual, visual, and centered on student activities.

Abstract

Perkalian dan pembagian termasuk materi matematika kelas II sekolah dasar yang kerap menyulitkan peserta didik. Sifatnya yang abstrak berbenturan dengan kondisi peserta didik di usia ini, yang menurut Piaget masih berada pada tahap operasional konkret sehingga membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang konkret sekaligus menyenangkan. Permainan ular tangga merupakan salah satu media yang dapat dimodifikasi untuk memuat soal-soal perkalian dan pembagian pada setiap petaknya. Artikel ini disusun untuk mengkaji dan merangkum temuan-temuan penelitian terdahulu mengenai pemanfaatan media permainan ular tangga dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar, dengan penekanan khusus pada relevansinya terhadap materi perkalian dan pembagian di kelas II. Kajian dilakukan dengan metode literature review berpendekatan deskriptif kualitatif terhadap tujuh artikel yang terbit pada rentang 2019-2025 dan dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi serta eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil sintesis menunjukkan bahwa media permainan ular tangga secara konsisten dinyatakan layak oleh ahli media maupun ahli materi, dengan persentase kelayakan berkisar 90-92%, serta terbukti mampu mendongkrak motivasi dan keaktifan belajar peserta didik. Sejalan dengan itu, tren riset pada 2025 mulai bergeser dari sekadar validasi produk menuju pengukuran efektivitas dan pemahaman konsep yang lebih sistematis. Meski demikian, penelitian yang memadukan tiga unsur sekaligus, yakni jenjang kelas II SD, materi perkalian dan pembagian, serta instrumen tes kognitif yang telah divalidasi, ternyata masih sangat jarang dijumpai. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penelitian mendatang perlu diarahkan untuk mengisi celah tersebut, bukan sekadar mengulang pengukuran motivasi atau kelayakan produk.

Abstract

This article examines the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving elementary school students' numeracy literacy through a literature review. Indonesian elementary students' numeracy skills remain low based on PISA and National Assessment (AN). This study used a literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach on three national scientific articles obtained from Google Scholar, Garuda, and SINTA, selected based on publication within the last five years, a focus on PBL and numeracy literacy, and clear methodology, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, synthesis of findings, and conclusion drawing. Findings show that PBL is consistently effective across two different research designs, a systematic literature review and pre-experimental quantitative research: PBL combined with interactive media (YouTube, Wordwall, a spinning board, Math Playground) raised fifth-grade students' average AKM numeracy score from 37.73 to 81.14, while PBL combined with Wordwall raised third-grade students' numeracy literacy from 70.52 to 81.91. PBL's effectiveness is underpinned by strengthened cognitive ability, learning motivation, and self-efficacy, but is conditional on factors such as ICT integration, teacher-student relationships, and alignment with students' demographic background. It is concluded that PBL's success depends not only on the model itself but also on teachers' active role and on adapting instructional design to each school's context.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed education, particularly through the use of interactive learning media that enhance students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to systematically analyze the role of interactive learning media in improving critical thinking in mathematics learning at the elementary and secondary school levels. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted by examining seven scientific articles on various interactive media, including e-modules, animated videos, TPACK-based online comics, GeoGebra, Google Slides, TPACK-based student worksheets (LKPD), metacognitive strategies, Android-based educational games, and Kodular-assisted e-modules. The review followed three stages: planning, implementation, and reporting. The findings reveal that these interactive media are generally valid, practical, and effective in fostering students' critical thinking skills. The study concludes that integrating interactive learning media into mathematics instruction can improve learning outcomes and promote higherorder thinking.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly changed the patterns of interaction and social behavior of elementary school children. Gadgets and social media platforms, such as TikTok, have become an integral part of children's daily lives, serving as tools for entertainment, communication, and learning. This study aims to examine the influence of gadget and social media use on children's social behavior and character development, as well as to identify the efforts that parents, teachers, and schools can make to minimize their negative impacts. This research employed a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach by analyzing relevant literature and previous studies related to the use of gadgets, social media, and the digital environment among elementary school children. The findings indicate that the use of gadgets and social media has both positive and negative effects. On the one hand, digital technology facilitates communication, supports the learning process, broadens children's knowledge, and enhances their creativity. On the other hand, excessive and uncontrolled use may reduce direct social interaction, decrease physical activity, lead to gadget dependency, and negatively affect children's discipline, empathy, and social awareness. Therefore, the active involvement of parents, teachers, and schools is essential through proper supervision, screen time management, positive role modeling, and the strengthening of character education and digital literacy. In conclusion, the impact of gadgets and social media on children depends not only on the intensity of their use but also on the guidance and supervision provided by adults in their surrounding environment.

Abstract

Pembelajaran geometri di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, seperti rendahnya pemahaman konsep, kemampuan berpikir spasial, motivasi belajar, dan partisipasi peserta didik akibat pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru. Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan perlunya penerapan metode pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, interaktif, dan menyenangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis berbagai metode pembelajaran geometri yang menarik di sekolah dasar melalui pendekatan tinjauan pustaka. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari artikel ilmiah, buku, prosiding, dan sumber ilmiah lain yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran aktif, media konkret dan interaktif seperti buku Pop-Up dan permainan edukatif, pendekatan kontekstual, pembelajaran berbasis proyek, serta pemanfaatan teknologi digital mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep geometri, kemampuan berpikir spasial, motivasi belajar, partisipasi, dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu memilih dan mengombinasikan berbagai metode pembelajaran sesuai karakteristik peserta didik agar tercipta pembelajaran geometri yang bermakna dan efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of a regional library in Ngawi Regency, including services, collections, facilities, and the use of technology. This research uses a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results show that library management has been running fairly well, especially in terms of basic services and facilities. However, there are still several obstacles such as limited updated collections, suboptimal use of technology, and low public interest in visiting. Therefore, service innovation and technology-based development are needed to improve the role of libraries as community literacy centers.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media has generated massive and complex amounts of data, creating the need for more effective analytical methods. Deep learning has emerged as one of the approaches capable of automatically identifying patterns within such data; however, systematic studies that comprehensively map its development across social media platforms remain limited. This study aims to analyze research trends in deep learning on social media platforms during the period of 2021–2026 using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The analysis focuses on annual publication trends, the most frequently studied social media platforms, the deep learning models employed, dominant research topics, and future research opportunities. Data were collected through a literature search of scientific articles in the Google Scholar and Garuda databases based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in nine eligible articles for analysis. The findings indicate that research on the application of deep learning in social media has shown significant advancements in model architectures, ranging from single models such as Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) to hybrid models and Transformer-based architectures, including BERT-LSTM and IndoBERT. These approaches have been predominantly applied to sentimen analysis, fake news detection, and hate speech detection. The findings further reveal that CNN remained the most widely used model during the 2021–2026 period, although a gradual shift toward Transformer-based models such as BERT and IndoBERT has begun to emerge. This trend highlights the potential of Transformer-based architectures to improve semantic context understanding and multimedia data processing in future research.

Abstract

Inovasi alat peraga merupakan salah satu strategi penting dalam mendukung implementasi Deep Learning sekaligus mewujudkan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren, kontribusi, dan kesenjangan penelitian mengenai inovasi alat peraga sebagai pendukung Deep Learning berbasis SDGs melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review(SLR). Penelitian dilaksanakan mengacu pada pedoman PRISMA 2020 dengan menelusuri artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan pada periode 2020–2025 melalui basis data Google Scholar, Scopus, ERIC, dan Garuda. Artikel diseleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik content analysis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi alat peraga telah berkembang dari sekadar media pendukung pembelajaran menjadi sarana yang mampu mengimplementasikan prinsip mindful learning, meaningful learning, dan joyful learning. Berbagai bentuk alat peraga, seperti media konkret, alat peraga edukatif interaktif, loose part, serta alat peraga berbasis budaya lokal terbukti meningkatkan motivasi, pemahaman konseptual, berpikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan keterlibatan aktif peserta didik. Selain itu, pemanfaatan bahan ramah lingkungan dan kontekstual memberikan kontribusi terhadap pencapaian tujuan SDGs, khususnya pendidikan berkualitas dan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Meskipun demikian, integrasi antara inovasi alat peraga, Deep Learning, dan SDGs masih memerlukan pengembangan model implementasi yang lebih komprehensif. Oleh karena itu, inovasi alat peraga berpotensi menjadi strategi efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran abad ke-21 yang bermakna, adaptif, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan evaluasi pembelajaran melalui penugasan Project Based Learning (PjBL). PjBL merupakan model pembelajaran inovatif yang menekankan keterlibatan siswa dalam proyek nyata sehingga mampu mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, komunikasi, dan kreativitas. Evaluasi dalam PjBL tidak hanya berfokus pada hasil akhir, tetapi juga pada proses pembelajaran, partisipasi siswa, serta perkembangan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber terkait implementasi PjBL dalam pendidikan dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi PjBL lebih komprehensif dibandingkan penilaian konvensional karena mencakup aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Namun, terdapat tantangan seperti keterbatasan waktu, kompleksitas penilaian, serta kesiapan guru. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan rubrik yang jelas dan perencanaan yang matang sangat diperlukan untuk mengoptimalkan evaluasi pembelajaran.
