Abstract

Student learning outcomes in the Web Programming unit at the vocational high school (SMK) level remain a challenge during the implementation of the kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum), particularly regarding the mastery of cognitive concepts and practical psychomotor skills. This study aimed to analyze the impact of using the Moodle-based "WebCode" Learning Management System (LMS)—integrated with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model—on the learning outcomes of Grade XI Software Engineering (RPL) students at SMK Krian 1 Sidoarjo in the Web Programming unit. A quasi-experimental design—specifically a non-equivalent control group design—was employed. Learning outcome data were collected using cognitive test instruments and psychomotor performance assessment sheets, which were validated by experts; the instruments achieved a validity score of 95%, falling into the "Highly Valid" category. Inferential analysis using the Independent Sample T-Test revealed a cognitive t-value of 7.975 and a psychomotor t-value of 3.339 (with p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental class (using the PBL-integrated WebCode LMS) and the control class (using conventional methods). The magnitude of improvement in learning outcomes was measured using the N-Gain test, yielding an average score of 0.729 (high category) for the cognitive domain and 0.400 (medium category) for the psychomotor domain. These results indicate that the PBL-integrated, Moodle-based WebCode LMS is capable of significantly and effectively improving student learning outcomes in the Web Programming unit.

Abstract

Tanaman hias Anting Putri (Wrightia religiosa) memiliki potensi ekonomi yang tinggi, namun menghadapi tantangan berupa meningkatnya persaingan usaha, perubahan preferensi konsumen, dan keterbatasan strategi pemasaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan strategi pemasaran yang tepat bagi Kiki Garden melalui pendekatan analisis SWOT. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan kuesioner yang melibatkan pemilik usaha, karyawan, serta konsumen. Data dianalisis menggunakan matriks Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS), External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS), matriks SWOT, dan Grand Strategy Matrix. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Kiki Garden memiliki skor IFAS sebesar 2,84 dan skor EFAS sebesar 2,80 yang menempatkan perusahaan pada Kuadran I (Growth-Oriented Strategy). Posisi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan memiliki kekuatan internal yang mampu dimanfaatkan untuk menangkap peluang eksternal. Strategi yang direkomendasikan meliputi peningkatan promosi digital melalui media sosial, pengembangan variasi produk dan layanan, perluasan jaringan pemasaran, peningkatan kualitas pelayanan, serta penguatan hubungan dengan pelanggan.

Abstract

Monotonous Computer Systems learning in vocational high schools often causes student boredom and hinders collaboration monitoring. To address this, this study developed the "Jagat Kawruh" educational website integrating Problem Based Learning (PBL) and gamification. Utilizing the Research and Development (R&D) ADDIE model, the media features an interactive maze game quiz to boost motivation. The trial involved 36 tenth-grade Software Engineering students at SMKN 2 Buduran. Expert validations confirmed the product is highly valid (media 87.22%, material 95.45%, teaching module 94.58%, evaluation 94.44%). Effectiveness tests revealed a significant improvement in conceptual understanding (Paired Sample t-Test p < 0.001) with an N-Gain of 0.49 (moderate). Furthermore, the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) results showed positive evaluations, peaking in the Stimulation scale (1.81/Excellent). In conclusion, "Jagat Kawruh" is proven valid, practical, and effective in facilitating interactive and independent PBL learning.

Abstract

The use  of the Learning Management System (LMS) in learning is growing as an effort to support the delivery of materials, learning activities, and evaluations in an integrated manner. The existence of an LMS allows the learning process to take place more flexibly and encourages student involvement in learning activities. However, the success of an LMS implementation is determined not only by the quality of the system developed, but also by the level of user acceptance of the technology. This study aims to analyze the acceptance of Learning Management System based on Problem Based Learning using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 35 students of class X TKJ SMKN 3 Buduran as respondents. Data was collected through a questionnaire compiled based on five TAM constructs, namely Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Attitude Toward Using (ATU), Behavioral Intention (BI), and Actual Use (AU). Data analysis was carried out descriptively using average values and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis using SmartPLS 4. The results showed that all TAM constructs obtained an average score in the high category with a range of 3,479–3,733. In addition, the results of the PLS-SEM analysis showed that all relationships between constructs had a positive and significant influence with a p-value of < 0.05. The findings show that LMS based on Problem Based Learning is well received by students, so that the Technology Acceptance Model is able to explain user acceptance of LMS in supporting informatics learning.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low creative thinking skills of students in the Pancasila Education subject in grade V at SDN 83 Padang Setang, Maros Regency. This situation is shown by the students' lack of ability to express ideas and solve problems. This study aims to find out: (1) an overview of the implementation of a project-based learning model; (2) an overview of students' creative thinking skills; and (3) the effect of the project-based learning model on students' creative thinking skills. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study was all grade V students at SDN 83 Padang Setang, totaling 36 students: 18 students in class VA and 18 students in class VB. These classes also served as the research sample, with class VA as the experimental class and class VB as the control class. Data was collected through observation and tests, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The research results show that the implementation of the project-based learning model was carried out well, students' creative thinking skills in the experimental class were better than in the control class, and there was a significant influence of the project-based learning model on the creative thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 83 Padang Setang, Maros Regency.

Abstract

The low interest in learning and achievement of basic English competencies in third grade elementary school students is often triggered by the use of monotonous conventional teaching methods. As a solution, this study aims to develop interactive learning media based on mobile apps on fruits vocabulary material, while testing the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students' vocabulary reading skills. This study applies the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. A total of 14 third grade students of SDN Tlogorejo Kepohbaru were involved as trial subjects. Data were collected through expert validation sheet instruments (material and media), student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest). The research findings confirm that: (1) The learning media for fruits vocabulary material is categorized as Very Valid, with a feasibility percentage of 89.23% from material experts and 87.14% from media experts; (2) The media is considered Very Practical based on the average score of the student response questionnaire of 91.63%; (3) The media has been proven to be effective in significantly improving learning outcomes based on a paired t-test, where the average value jumped from 49.41 (pretest) to 83.85 (posttest) with a significance level of 0.000 ($Sig. < 0.05$). Thus, this mobile-based learning application is feasible and effective for optimizing elementary school students' English vocabulary reading skills.

Abstract

Sandwich composites featuring carbon fiber skins and a cork core are lightweight materials with the potential to replace metals due to their high mechanical strength and eco-friendliness. This study aims to analyze the effect of varying the number of carbon fiber skin layers on the bending strength and failure modes of the sandwich composite. Specimens were fabricated using the vacuum infusion method with skin configurations of 4, 6, and 8 layers and tested via the three-point bending method in accordance with ASTM C393 standards. The results indicate that increasing the number of skin layers enhances the maximum bending load and core shear stress. The 8-layer configuration yielded the highest maximum bending load (66.47 kg) and core shear stress (0.769 MPa), whereas the highest face bending stress (294.62 MPa) was observed in the 4-layer configuration. Face yielding was the dominant failure mode across all specimens. The findings demonstrate that the number of skin layers influences the bending strength characteristics of carbon fiber/cork core sandwich composites.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of varying pineapple leaf fiber (PALF) compositions on the impact strength of carbon fiber-reinforced hybrid composites intended for motorcycle fender applications. The composites were fabricated using the hand lay-up method with an epoxy resin matrix and a carbon–PALF–carbon stacking sequence. PALF compositions of 30%, 50%, and 70% of the total reinforcement fraction were utilized, maintaining a resin-to-fiber ratio of 60:40. Impact testing was conducted using the Charpy method in accordance with ASTM D6110. The results indicate that PALF composition influences the composite's impact strength. The 30% PALF composition yielded the highest values, with an average impact energy of 21.331 J and an impact strength of 0.400 J/mm², followed by the 50% PALF composition (19.782 J and 0.308 J/mm²) and the 70% PALF composition (18.133 J and 0.252 J/mm²). The decrease in impact strength at higher PALF compositions is attributed to uneven fiber wetting by the resin, which weakened the fiber-matrix bond and promoted cracking, delamination, and fiber pull-out. Consequently, the composite with 30% PALF demonstrated the best impact performance. However, further research involving improved control of the fabrication process is required to obtain more accurate and representative results.

Abstract

Data Analysis instruction at SMKN 1 Sarirejo remains lecture-based, leaving students passive and their Associate Data Analyst competencies underdeveloped, with an average score of 69.6, below the minimum criterion of 75. This study describes the development of “AnalystHub,” an interactive website based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL); analyzes the improvement of students' Associate Data Analyst competencies; and determines the website's usability using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The study used an R&D method with the ADDIE model, involving 22 tenth-grade TKJ students at SMKN 1 Sarirejo. AnalystHub was built using Laravel 12, Tailwind CSS, MySQL, Pyodide, a Groq API-based AI Assistant, and Chart.js, and was validated by four experts with an average score of 93.0% (Very Valid). The Paired Sample T-Test showed a significant increase in cognitive competency (t = -24.147; p < 0.001) with a mean N-Gain of 0.689 (Medium, approaching High), while psychomotor competency achieved a mean posttest score of 81.30 (Good). SUS measurement yielded a mean score of 81.36 (Grade B, Acceptable), proving PBL integration effectively improves vocational students' data analysis competencies.

Abstract

GUI Programming instruction for Grade XI RPL students at SMKS PGRI 2 Sidoarjo remained lecture-centered without a Learning Management System (LMS), resulting in low learning outcomes. This study aims to develop a Moodle-based LMS, GUILearn, integrated with the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model to improve learning outcomes and user experience. The Research and Development method was applied using the ADDIE model and a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 30 students. Data were analyzed through expert validation, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, N-Gain analysis, and the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). Validation results show the LMS is highly feasible (media 92.5%; materials 89%; test items 96%; module 95.45%). Learning outcomes improved significantly (mean score 49.00 to 82.83; W = 465, p < 0.001; 80% meeting the minimum criterion; N-Gain 0.6645, medium category). UEQ results showed five dimensions rated Good to Above Average, while Attractiveness remained Below Average (1.11). GUILearn proved effective in improving cognitive learning outcomes with an overall positive user experience.
