Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this research is to understand the philosophy, historical tradition, and social aspects of Lekun in Sikka Regency, as well as its role as a gastronomic tourist attraction. It also aims to explore the standard recipe for making and serving Lekun and the government's preservation efforts.Methodology/Design/Approach - The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, literature reviews, and documentation to gather insights on the tradition, preparation, and potential for tourism. Finding - The findings of the study reveal several important insights about Lekun in Sikka Regency. First, it was discovered that Lekun holds significant cultural value, deeply tied to the traditions, philosophy, and social practices of the Sikka Krowe ethnic group. It is not merely a traditional snack but also plays a vital role in ceremonial events, particularly weddings. The process of making Lekun is also crucial, as it ensures the preservation of its authentic preparation and presentation.Originality/Value - This research emphasizes the importance of preserving traditional food like Lekun for cultural heritage and tourism. It highlights the need for government support in both education and business development to maintain and promote Lekun as a gastronomic tourist attraction in Sikka Regency.

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this research is to explore the untapped potential of agrotourism in Dante Mararih Hamlet, Tangru Village, Malua District, Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi, and assess public awareness regarding the importance of its development. Methodology/Design/Approach - A qualitative approach was used, combining observation, interviews, and documentation to gather data on the potential of agrotourism in the area and public awareness of its development.Finding - The study found that Dante Mararih Hamlet has significant potential for agrotourism, driven by its horticultural resources, cultivation activities, natural beauty, and the quality of the local community. However, public awareness about agrotourism is still low, and there is a need to align perceptions to fully realize the potential. The development of agrotourism will require attention to various factors, including human resources, infrastructure, location, traditional agriculture characteristics, and agro-industry.Originality/Value - This research emphasizes the importance of raising public awareness and aligning perceptions to optimize agrotourism potential. It provides practical insights into the factors necessary for successful agrotourism development, which could positively impact the economy of Dante Mararih Hamlet.

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of management unification on service quality and visitor satisfaction in Tembi Tourism Village, with a focus on improving hospitality services in rural tourism. Methodology/Design/Approach - A mixed-methods approach (qualitative and quantitative) was used. The study combined surveys and descriptive analysis to understand the effects of management unification on service quality and visitor satisfaction. Data were collected via an online survey using Google Forms, targeting tourists visiting Tembi Tourism Village.Finding - The study found that management unification significantly improved service quality and visitor satisfaction at Tembi Tourism Village. This led to an increase in tourist visits, suggesting that effective management coordination positively affects both service delivery and the overall tourist experience. Originality/Value - This research highlights the importance of management unification in enhancing service quality and visitor satisfaction, particularly in rural tourism settings. The findings provide practical recommendations, such as regular evaluations and innovative policy implementations, to support continued growth and increased tourism visits to the destination.

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to measure tourists' perceptions of the quality of sustainable tourism services in Lombok and analyze which dimensions of service quality most influence tourist satisfaction. Methodology/Design/Approach - The study involves both domestic and foreign tourists, analyzing their perceptions of sustainable tourism services. It examines various dimensions of service quality, including environmental sustainability, local wisdom, and facilities, to understand their impact on tourist satisfaction. Finding - The study found that tourists highly value environmental sustainability, local wisdom, and the quality of facilities. These factors significantly influence their satisfaction with sustainable tourism services in Lombok.Originality/Value - This research provides valuable insights into how sustainable tourism practices, particularly those focused on environmental and cultural aspects, contribute to tourist satisfaction. It emphasizes the importance of incorporating local wisdom and quality facilities into sustainable tourism development to enhance the overall visitor experience in Lombok.

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine how tour guide skills, knowledge, and attitude—through intrapersonal and interpersonal servability—affect tourist satisfaction at the Parama Iswari Exhibition.Methodology/Design/Approach - The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data triangulation and focus group discussions. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and document studies.Finding - The study found that the tour guides' intrapersonal and interpersonal servability performance positively influenced tourist satisfaction. This highlights the importance of the competency of tour guides, including their skills, knowledge, and attitudes, in enhancing the overall tourist experience.Originality/Value - This research emphasizes the role of tour guides' competencies in influencing tourist satisfaction. It underlines how the tour guide's personal and interpersonal qualities can significantly impact the quality of the tourist experience, offering insights for improving service standards in exhibitions and similar settings.

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to analyze the quality of service at Kaki Langit Tourism Village in Yogyakarta. The study explores how service quality influences tourist satisfaction, destination image, and overall tourist experience.Methodology/Design/Approach - The research uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including interviews and observations to gather both written and oral data on service quality. The study focuses on five dimensions of service quality: tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Finding - The study finds that the service quality dimensions at Kaki Langit Tourism Village have been implemented but are still in the development stage. While efforts have been made to improve service quality, further follow-up and development are required to optimize the application of service quality and ensure the best possible experience for tourists.Originality/Value - This research highlights the importance of continuous development and improvement in service quality to enhance tourist satisfaction in tourism villages. It provides valuable insights for further refining service quality practices at Kaki Langit Tourism Village to achieve optimal results.

The study emphasizes the importance of quality assurance in the hospitality industry as a key factor in improving guest satisfaction.Methodology/Design/Approach - The study uses the literature study method, collecting and analyzing various reference sources such as journals and books related to quality assurance in the hospitality industry.Finding - The literature study reveals that quality assurance plays a crucial role in enhancing guest satisfaction. By ensuring consistent service and standards, quality assurance directly impacts guest experiences and contributes to the hotel's reputation.Originality/Value - This research underscores the importance of maintaining high-quality standards in hotel operations, highlighting how quality assurance practices can significantly improve guest satisfaction and, in turn, the overall reputation of the hotel.

Abstract

Purpose – This article analyzes the impact of tourism on Gili Trawangan's sustainability, focusing on natural resources and the local community.Methodology/Design/Approach – The research uses library research and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) to collect data from relevant articles and journals.Findings – Tourism enhances Gili Trawangan's natural resources, such as beaches and coral reefs, providing economic benefits and job opportunities in sectors like accommodation and transportation. Infrastructure improvements have also been made. However, over-tourism puts pressure on resources and the environment.Originality/Value – This study offers a balanced view of tourism’s impact and stresses the need for careful management to ensure sustainable development while benefiting the local economy.

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to explore the role of excellent service in improving the tourist experience in Tomok Tourism Village, located on Samosir Island, North Sumatra. It aims to identify how service quality can enhance the attractiveness of the village for visitors. Methodology/Design/Approach - The study uses interviews, observations, and a literature review, focusing on both business operators and visitors to gather insights on the impact of service quality on tourism satisfaction. Finding - The study found that friendly, prompt, and professional service plays a significant role in enhancing tourist satisfaction and encouraging repeat visits. High-quality service directly influences tourists' overall experience and their likelihood of returning. Originality/Value - This research provides valuable recommendations for village managers to improve service standards, which could help attract more tourists to Tomok Village. It emphasizes the importance of excellent service in creating a positive and lasting impression on visitors.

Abstract

Purpose - This study aims to evaluate the impact of weather changes due to climate change on the environment and socio-culture of local communities at Depok Beach in Yogyakarta. It also seeks to identify mitigation strategies that could be applied to address these impacts.Methodology/Design/Approach - The study employs qualitative descriptive methods. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature reviews to assess the effects of weather changes on the beach and its community.Finding - The results of the study show that weather phenomena such as abrasion, extreme rainfall, and rising air temperatures are affecting both the tourist attraction and the ecosystem sustainability of Depok Beach. Additionally, the interaction between tourists and the local community poses challenges in maintaining cultural values. Originality/Value - The study emphasizes the need for a sustainable tourism approach that integrates adaptation to weather changes with the preservation of socio-cultural values. It highlights the importance of finding solutions that balance environmental sustainability with cultural conservation in the face of climate change.
