Abstract

This study aims to investigate how social media influences the millennial generation's shopping tendencies. This generation is a major focus in modern consumption research due to their intense engagement on social media platforms and its impact on shopping decisions. Through qualitative methods, this research examines how the millennial generation's consumer behavior is influenced by social comparison. The results show that social media not only makes access to products and brands easier, but also strengthens consumption culture by promoting a certain lifestyle that often focuses on purchasing goods and services. Social media has had a huge impact on the way the millennial generation consumes goods and lifestyles. Through this platform, they are not only exposed to interesting products and consumption patterns, but are also influenced by trends and recommendations from other users. Social media facilitates product comparison, review searches, and easy online shopping, which can encourage impulsive consumer behavior. Additionally, constant exposure to content that promotes a materialistic lifestyle can influence spending priorities and result in increased consumption of items that may not always be necessary. This is a challenge for millennials in managing finances wisely and adjusting consumption patterns to actual needs.

Abstract

This article reviews the systematics, writing/compilation methods and introduces the book of Sahih Ibn Hibban in a more comprehensive manner which is different from the habits of the muhaddits in compiling their works in the collection of Hadith of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. This cannot be separated from his background and his motives (goals) in collecting and compiling Hadith. In addition, Sahih Ibn Hibban in terms of its name is not as it is currently known by the public, because the original title of the book was "Al-Musnad al-Sahih 'ala al-Taqasim wa al-Anwa' min Ghayr al-Wujud Qat' fi Sanadiha wa La Tsubut Jarh fi Naqiliha" or "al-Taqasim wa al-Anwa'". However, the name Sahih Ibn Hibban is considered more famous and easy not only for Hadith experts but also among the general public. The book is not arranged by chapters and not in musnad form, but is compiled by classifying the Hadith of Rasulullah sallallah 'alaih wa sallam into 5 (five) parts (qism) where each part is further classified into several nau' or anwa' (kinds), and in each nau' there are various kinds of knowledge, namely the Hadiths of Rasulullah sallallah 'alaih wa sallam. Even though Ibn Hibban's book has appeared in recent times, scholars and Hadith experts have included it as an important book of Hadith, so that the scholars have paid great attention to it in the form of rearranging it into chapters like the systematic writing and compilation of the Hadith of the majority of muhaddits as done by 'Ala` al-Din 'Ali b. Balban al-Farisi then named his work Al-Ihsan fi Taqrib Sahih Ibn Hibban or also known as Sahih Ibn Hibban bi Tartib Ibn Balban, totaling 18 volumes. Then, some mu'assirin (contemporary) scholars among the muhaqqiq (tahqiq experts) such as Sheikh Ahmad Syakir and Sheikh al-Albani made ta'liq on Ibn Balban's book. And what al-Albani did was to summarize and perfect the book of al-Ihsan al-Amir 'Ala` al-Din al-Farisi in the form of useful penta'liqan and pentakhrijan of the Hadiths issued by Ibn Hibban. Likewise, Sheikh Muhaqqiq Syu'aib al-Arna`ut made tahqiq over him.

Abstract

Mudharabah is a unique financial instrument in the Islamic banking system, where capital from one party (shahibul maal) is managed by another party (mudharib) to generate profit, which is shared according to a pre-agreed arrangement. This study aims to analyze the concept of mudharabah from the perspective of fiqh and explore the limitations and challenges faced in its implementation in the modern Islamic banking system. Using a qualitative approach through a literature review method, this research examines various classical and contemporary texts related to the relevant fiqh principles. The results show that mudharabah is a partnership between the capital provider and the manager, with profits shared according to the agreement and losses borne by the capital provider unless due to the manager's negligence. Ibn Rusyd divides mudharabah into mudharabah muqayyadah (restricted) and mudharabah muthlaqah (unrestricted), emphasizing the risk of gharar in capital assessment. Wahbah al-Zuhaili also highlights the importance of transparency and protection for both parties in the mudharabah contract, as well as the need for flexibility in its application to align with modern economic developments. Meanwhile, the DSN MUI has issued fatwas as practical guidelines suited to Indonesia's modern financial conditions, classifying mudharabah into four forms: muqayyadah, muthlaqah, tsuna'iyyah (involving two parties), and musytarakah (combined with musharakah). The implementation of mudharabah in Bank Muamalat and Bank Syariah Indonesia shows practical applications but faces challenges such as oversight and operational risks. The main obstacles include a lack of public understanding, high operational and market risks, as well as regulatory and infrastructure limitations. Although mudharabah holds great potential as an Islamic financial instrument, these challenges need to be addressed to improve its effectiveness and application in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Prophet Ibrahim in forming a family from the perspective of the Qur'an and its relevance as a solution to the phenomenon of fatherlessness or the absence of a father figure in the family. The phenomenon of fatherlessness is currently a social problem that has a negative impact on the mental, emotional, and spiritual development of children. In this context, the role of an ideal father as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, becomes important to study further. The research method used is a qualitative approach with an analysis of the interpretation of the Qur'an regarding verses that describe the interaction of Prophet Ibrahim with his family, especially in terms of education, affection, and family leadership. Data were collected through a literature review, especially the book of interpretation and literature related to the phenomenon of fatherlessness. The results of the study show that Prophet Ibrahim played a central role as a father figure who not only guided his family spiritually, but also set an example in terms of sacrifice, affection, and responsibility. This example is very relevant as a solution in dealing with the phenomenon of fatherlessness in the modern era. This study concludes that the values contained in the story of Prophet Ibrahim can be used as a guide in strengthening the role of fathers in the family, especially in facing contemporary social challenges.

Abstract

The Islamic banking industry has become a key pillar in the global financial system, offering an alternative that is in line with Islamic principles and attracting interest from an increasingly wide market segment. However, to remain relevant and sustainable, Islamic banking must continue to develop products and services that meet the needs of diverse consumers. This research aims to explore the challenges and opportunities in developing sharia banking products to reach wider market segments, as well as their impact on financial inclusion and sustainable economic growth. Through a literature review and in-depth analysis, we identified key strategies in developing sharia banking products, including in-depth market research, product innovation, and cross-sector collaboration. We also evaluate the social, economic and regulatory implications of developing inclusive sharia banking products. Our findings highlight the importance of strengthening the innovation ecosystem and supporting a conducive regulatory framework to facilitate the sustainable growth of the Islamic banking industry. Thus, this research provides valuable insights for practitioners, academics and other stakeholders in understanding the dynamics of sharia banking product development in this ever-changing era.
