Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of halal labeling and price on purchasing decisions for food and beverage products among students of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method to obtain objective empirical data. The research sample consists of 28 respondents selected through purposive sampling, with the criteria of active students who have previously purchased packaged food and beverage products. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale to measure respondents’ perceptions of the research variables. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 22. The results indicate that halal labeling has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while price does not have a significant partial effect. However, simultaneously, halal labeling and price have a significant effect on purchasing decisions for food and beverage products. These findings confirm that the halal aspect is the main consideration for students in determining purchasing decisions compared to the price factor.

Abstract

Economic growth is one of the main indicators of a country’s development success, as it reflects increases in productive capacity and overall economic activity. However, high economic growth is not always accompanied by an equitable distribution of income. In Indonesia, economic inequality remains a structural problem that directly affects poverty levels and social welfare. This study aims to analyze the relationship between economic growth and income inequality and their impact on poverty in Indonesia. The research employs a descriptive and analytical approach using secondary data obtained from official institutions, such as Statistics Indonesia (Badan Pusat Statistik) and other relevant agencies. The findings indicate that uneven economic growth tends to widen income inequality and hinder poverty reduction. Conversely, inclusive economic growth, accompanied by a more equitable distribution of income and expanded access to economic opportunities, is proven to be more effective in reducing poverty. Therefore, development policies in Indonesia should be directed not only toward accelerating economic growth but also toward reducing inequality in order to achieve equitable and sustainable social welfare.

Abstract

This This study aims to analyze the effect of motivation on the learning outcomes of adult learners at Bimbel Al Khoiriyah. The background of this research stems from the low learning enthusiasm often found among adult learners, which is influenced by factors such as fatigue after work, lack of internal drive, and limited motivational support in the learning environment. In adult education, motivation plays a crucial role in determining learning success, as adults possess different learning needs and characteristics compared to younger students. This research employed a quantitative approach with a simple experimental method. The treatment involved motivational sessions delivered through brief lectures and inspirational messages before the learning activities began. The study involved six adult participants enrolled in the tutoring program. Data were collected using pre-test and post-test assessments to measure learning achievement. The results showed an increase in the average score from 70 to 85 after the motivational treatment, indicating a positive influence of motivation on learning outcomes. The findings highlight the importance of motivation in improving both the process and outcomes of learning, especially among adult learners who face unique challenges in balancing education and daily responsibilities. With appropriate motivational strategies, adult learners can become more focused, confident, and capable of achieving better academic performance.

Abstract

Inflation is a financial phenomenon that is a major concern in a global context. From an Islamic perspective, the view of inflation is not only economic but also encompasses profound moral and ethical dimensions. This study seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of inflation from an Islamic perspective, encompassing its definition, causes, impacts, and solutions in line with Islamic economic principles. Through a qualitative approach with document and literature analysis, the study investigates the concept of inflation in Islam and its implications for Muslim societies. The discussion explores the causes of inflation from an Islamic perspective, including usury (interest), market instability, and unequal distribution of wealth. It also analyzes the impact of inflation on society, such as unfair redistribution of wealth and declining purchasing power. Finally, the study outlines proposed Islamic solutions to address inflation, such as regulating the financial system in accordance with Sharia law, controlling production and equitable distribution, and promoting morally based economic education. With a deeper understanding of inflation from an Islamic perspective, it is hoped that the solutions implemented can address the problem of inflation effectively and fairly, in accordance with religious values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of customer marketing relationships, reference groups, and service quality on the satisfaction and loyalty of members of the Rimba Mutiara Banso Cooperative in Siak Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method involving all 61 cooperative member group leaders, thus employing a census sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using the SEM-PLS method. The results showed that customer marketing relationships, reference groups, and service quality significantly influenced cooperative member satisfaction. Furthermore, customer marketing relationships, service quality, and member satisfaction were shown to significantly influence member loyalty, while reference groups had no direct effect on loyalty. These findings confirm that member satisfaction plays a strategic role as a mediating variable in strengthening the influence of marketing relationships and service quality on cooperative member loyalty. The novelty of this study lies in the simultaneous examination of the relationship between customer marketing relationships, reference groups, and service quality on loyalty, with satisfaction as an intervening variable in the context of plantation-based Islamic cooperatives, a practice still relatively limited in cooperative management studies. Practically, the results of this study provide implications for cooperative managers to prioritize strengthening sustainable marketing relationships and improving service quality as key strategies for maintaining member satisfaction and building long-term loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of Kupang Mayor Regulation Number 33 of 2019 concerning the Reduction of Plastic Bag Usage and to identify the obstacles encountered in its implementation in Kupang City. This research employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation in traditional markets, shopping centers, and among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Kupang City. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through triangulation techniques. The results indicate that the implementation of Kupang Mayor Regulation Number 33 of 2019 has not been effective. Low levels of understanding among the public and business actors regarding the policy, limited socialization, weak supervision, and the lack of affordable environmentally friendly bag alternatives are the main factors hindering the success of the policy. The use of single-use plastic bags is still widely found, particularly in traditional markets and the MSME sector, indicating that the objective of reducing plastic waste generation has not yet been optimally achieved.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of understanding the influence of contemporary Islamic thought on the modern da'wah movement, particularly the contribution of Ismail Raji al-Faruqi in shaping the direction of the Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM) movement. The urgency of this research lies in the need to examine the relationship between the idea of ​​the Islamization of knowledge and the practice of Islamic movements at the organizational level, especially in facing the challenges of modernity and the identity crisis of the younger generation of Muslims. This study aims to analyze the role and contribution of al-Faruqi's thought to the development of ABIM. The method used is a qualitative approach with a type of library research, through data collection from relevant primary and secondary sources. Data analysis was conducted descriptively-analytical with a historical and conceptual approach. The results of the study indicate that al-Faruqi's thought contributed significantly to shaping the Islamic paradigm of ABIM, particularly in the fields of education, da'wah, and youth development, through the integration of the values ​​of monotheism and science.

Abstract

The Islamic finance and banking industry has experienced significant development in recent decades, particularly in Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. This growth is characterized by an increasing number of Islamic financial institutions, product innovation, and increasingly strong regulatory support. This article examines the transformation of the Islamic finance sector in the digital era, the challenges of regulation, and the opportunities for developing products and services based on Islamic principles. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, this article discusses the basic concepts of Islamic banking, its historical evolution, the variety of Islamic financial products such as profit-sharing financing and buying and selling, and the dynamics of industry development amidst technological change. The study results indicate that although the Islamic banking industry faces various challenges, such as low Islamic financial literacy, limited human resources, and intense competition with conventional banking, its growth potential remains significant. This is supported by the use of financial technology (fintech), increased financial inclusion, and increasingly conducive government policies. Therefore, innovative and collaborative strategies are needed to strengthen the competitiveness of the Islamic finance industry in the future.

Abstract

The concept of green economy has developed as a development paradigm that emphasizes the balance between economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social justice amidst the global ecological crisis. From an Islamic perspective, green economy is not merely a technical approach, but also a manifestation of human moral and spiritual responsibility as caliphs on earth. Humans are required to maintain balance (mīzān), avoid damage (fasād), and ensure the sustainability of resources for future generations. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the principles of green economy and human moral responsibility within the framework of Islamic values, by integrating the Qur'an, Hadith, and maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. The method used is a qualitative literature study from classical and contemporary sources related to Islamic economics and environmental ethics. The results of the study indicate that green economy principles such as resource efficiency, emission reduction, distributive justice, and ecosystem sustainability are in line with Islamic values, especially amanah (trust), justice (‘adl), benefit (maṣlaḥah), and the prohibition of isrāf and tabdhīr. This responsibility is both individual and collective, involving the state, economic actors, and society in realizing sustainable development.

Abstract

This article examines the concept of business and entrepreneurship from the perspective of Islamic economics as an alternative economic system based on Islamic values. This research uses a descriptive-analytical approach to outline the basic principles of Islamic business, such as the prohibition of riba (usury), gharar (gharar), and maisir (gambling), as well as the application of justice, transparency, and social responsibility in economic activities. Furthermore, this article discusses the characteristics of Muslim entrepreneurs, who are oriented not only toward profit but also toward blessings, ethics, and contributions to the welfare of the community. The study's findings indicate that Islamic business has the advantage of creating a balance between economic and social goals, thereby promoting sustainable societal welfare. In the modern economic context, the implementation of Islamic entrepreneurship faces various challenges, such as low Islamic financial literacy, limited access to capital, and global market competition. However, significant opportunities exist through regulatory support, the development of digital technology, and increasing public awareness of halal products. Therefore, strategies are needed to strengthen an innovative, inclusive, and highly competitive Islamic business ecosystem.
