Abstract

The lease principle in Islamic banking is a financing mechanism based on the ijarah contract, which is a contract for the transfer of usufructuary rights over goods or services through rental payments without the transfer of asset ownership. This concept places the benefits of goods or services as the object of the transaction, thus differing from the interest-based financing system in conventional banking. This study aims to analyze the concept of the ijarah contract in Islamic banking, examine the underlying sharia principles, and evaluate its implementation in Islamic banking management to support operational effectiveness, compliance with sharia principles, and the sustainability of Islamic financial institutions. The research method used is a literature study by examining various sources, such as fatwas from the National Sharia Council (DSN-MUI), related regulations, books, and scientific journals regarding the ijarah contract and ijarah muntahiyah bit tamlik (IMBT). The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the ijarah contract requires good asset management, fair risk sharing, clear contract separation, and supervision by the Sharia Supervisory Board to ensure compliance with sharia principles and the needs of modern society.

Abstract

This study aims to examine sharia values in the offering process with a focus on the principles of transparency and honesty through a literature review approach. In the perspective of Islamic economics, the offering process is not merely understood as an economic activity, but also as a form of moral responsibility that must be aligned with Islamic values. Transparency requires the disclosure of information related to product quality, pricing, and conditions, while honesty emphasizes the integrity of business actors in every transaction. These two principles serve as fundamental foundations in preventing practices such as gharar, tadlis, and fraud in muamalah. In the context of the digital era, the implementation of transparency and honesty faces new challenges due to the rapid growth of online transactions and e-commerce, thereby requiring stronger ethical commitments from business actors. The findings indicate that consistent application of sharia values has a positive impact on enhancing consumer trust and loyalty. Furthermore, transparency and honesty play a crucial role in ensuring business sustainability by building reputation, credibility, and long-term competitive advantage. Thus, sharia values in the offering process are not only normatively relevant but also strategically important in supporting the development of a just and sustainable Islamic economy.

Abstract

Distribution is one of the fundamental aspects of an economic system that plays an important role in creating justice and social welfare. From the Islamic perspective, wealth distribution is not merely viewed as an economic activity, but also as part of moral and social responsibility based on the values of justice, balance, and public benefit (maslahah). The principles of distribution in Islam emphasize the prohibition of wealth concentration among certain groups, the obligation to share wealth through social instruments such as zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf, as well as the requirement to conduct economic activities ethically. This article aims to examine the principles of distribution in Islam and analyze their implementation in the context of the modern economy. The method used is a literature review of relevant scientific sources, including journals, books, and academic publications. The results of the study indicate that Islamic distribution principles have strong relevance to modern economic challenges, particularly in addressing income inequality and improving social welfare. The implementation of Islamic distribution values in modern economic systems can serve as an alternative solution to creating a more just, inclusive, and sustainable economy.

Abstract

The development of Islamic financing in Indonesia has positioned the murabahah contract as the dominant instrument in consumer financing. However, its implementation still raises several issues related to ownership of goods, margin transparency, and potential procedural deviations. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of murabahah contracts in consumer financing within Islamic banking and to assess their compliance with Sharia principles and the provisions of the DSN-MUI Fatwa. The research employs a qualitative approach using an explanatory case study through literature review and normative analysis of regulations and operational practices. The findings indicate that, conceptually, murabahah contracts have been systematically implemented through mechanisms involving the bank’s purchase of goods, transparent margin determination, and installment payments agreed upon by both parties. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including practices that tend to resemble conventional credit systems and the limited understanding of Sharia principles among some transaction participants. This study highlights the importance of strengthening Sharia supervision, improving customer literacy, and optimizing financing governance to ensure that murabahah contracts maintain integrity, fairness, and accountability within the Islamic financial system.

Abstract

Salam and istishna contracts are two transaction instruments in Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh muamalah) that hold significant potential as alternative financing instruments in Islamic banking, yet their application in Indonesia remains far from optimal. This article aims to comparatively analyze the fundamental concepts, operational mechanisms, and implementation of salam and istishna contracts within Indonesia's Islamic financing system. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research method through descriptive-comparative analysis of various relevant scientific literature sources. The findings reveal that although both contracts share similarities in that the object of transaction does not yet exist at the time of agreement, they differ substantially in terms of payment mechanisms, cancellation provisions, and the scope of financed objects. The salam contract is more relevant for agricultural sector financing, while the istishna contract is more predominantly applied in the construction and manufacturing sectors. The low implementation of both contracts is attributed to their high risk profiles, limited human resource capacity, and the availability of simpler alternative products. Synergistic efforts among regulators, Islamic banking institutions, and the government are required to optimize both contracts as inclusive and sustainable Islamic financing instruments.

Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers as natural counselors in overcoming online gaming addiction in students. Online gaming addiction in students is a problem affecting their academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development. Therefore, the role of PAI teachers is not only as educators but also as counselors who provide guidance and support based on Islamic values. This study used a qualitative approach with library research methods. Data were obtained from various sources such as books, scientific journals, articles, and documents relevant to the research topic. The results indicate that PAI teachers' strategies as Islamic counselors can be implemented through providing religious guidance, strengthening moral and spiritual values, individual and group counseling, fostering worship habits, monitoring technology use, and collaborating with parents and schools. An Islamic counseling approach based on the Qur'an and Hadith has been proven to help students improve self-control, manage their time effectively, and reduce dependence on online gaming. Thus, the Islamic Religious Education teacher's strategy as an Islamic counselor plays a crucial role in shaping students' character to be more disciplined, responsible, and balanced in their use of technology.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the duties and functions of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in providing services to the community and to what extent its implementation is in accordance with the regulations of the Minister of Religious Affairs (PMA). The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were the head of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), employees of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), and the community who received services at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Kampar Kiri District. The results of the study indicate that the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Kampar Kiri District has carried out most of its duties and functions as mandated in the PMA, including in terms of marriage registration services, religious life guidance, and religious administration services. However, several obstacles were still found such as limited human resources, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and a lack of public understanding of service procedures. The conclusion of this study is that although the implementation of the duties and functions of the Religious Affairs Office (KUA) in Kampar Kiri District has generally been carried out in accordance with regulations, it is still necessary to improve the quality of service by strengthening employee capacity and providing outreach to the community.
