Abstract

This research aims to compare the effectiveness of behavioristic and social constructivist approaches in the formation of morals from an Islamic cognitive neuroscience perspective. The method used is library research on various related literature, including research on behavioristic theory, social constructivism, and cognitive neuroscience in Islamic education. Data were collected from academic journals and relevant Islamic studies databases. The research results show that the behavioristic approach is effective in shaping behavior through external reinforcement, while social constructivism encourages the internalization of moral values ​​through social interaction. The integration of Islamic cognitive neuroscience insights provides a more comprehensive understanding of how the brain processes and internalizes moral values. In conclusion, the combination of these two approaches, supported by a neuroscientific perspective, produces a deeper and more flexible moral formation process in the context of modern Islamic education.

Abstract

This article discusses the application of the exemplary education method (uswah) at Uwais Al-Qorn Boarding School, which is effective in shaping the character of yatama through habituation, motivation, rule enforcement, and prayer. The study employs a qualitative descriptive interpretive approach, with data collection through interviews and observation. The findings of this study indicate that the uswah method at Uwais Al-Qorni Pesantren not only deepens the spiritual and emotional understanding of the students but also strengthens their discipline and responsibility. Consistent habituation, constructive motivation, and strict rule enforcement, combined with prayer, are key factors in preparing students to face life's challenges. The implications of this study suggest that the application of a holistic, structured education method grounded in Islamic values can make a significant contribution to shaping a generation that is strong, independent, and of noble character. This approach is not only relevant for pesantren but can also be applied in various educational institutions to cultivate better character development in students and prepare them to face the dynamics of modern life.

Abstract

The presence of PAUDQu in Indonesia is increasingly widespread. All PAUD organizers, including PAUDQu, must be guided by National Education Ministerial Decree No. 137/2014. This research aims to determine the implementation of content, management and infrastructure standards based on Permendikbud No. 137/2014 in the implementation of PAUDQ. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The data source was obtained from respondents from PAUDQu institutions in Parongpong sub-district, West Bandung Regency. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The collected data was then analyzed using data triangulation techniques. This research concludes that the implementation of PAUDQu in implementing content standards and infrastructure standards is in accordance with PAUD Standards Permendikbud number 137 of 2014. However, in implementing management standards it is not yet in accordance with the Management Standards contained in Permendikbud number 137 of 2014 as it has not been fully implemented in the plan work and supervision.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of assignment and presentation methods on academic achievement. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with data collection through questionnaires and inferential statistical analysis of 2 predictor regressions. The research results show that there is a significant influence between assignment and presentation methods on academic achievement. There is a significant influence between assignment method (X1) and academic achievement (y). Each improvement in assignment method correlates with a 0.5 unit increase in academic achievement. Improving the quality of assignment methods contributes positively to increasing academic achievement. There is a significant influence between presentation (X2) and academic achievement (y). Each increase in presentation was positively correlated with a 0.7 unit increase in academic achievement. Assignment and presentation methods contributed 63.4% to the variance in academic achievement (R Squared = 0.634). This shows that the use of these two variables in the regression model increases the ability to explain variations in academic achievement. The findings of this research show that assignment and presentation methods have a significant influence, so they have an important role in improving academic achievement for students of the PAI STAI Al-Hidayah Bogor scholarship program. The implications of this research are for educational institutions to pay attention to the quality of assignment and presentation methods as learning strategies to improve student academic achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the true essence of the parental role in the tarbiyah (Islamic education) of children from an Islamic perspective, which is seen not merely as a biological or administrative responsibility, but as a sacred trust in shaping the child’s character, spirituality, and personality. The study also identifies the factors contributing to the weakening of parental roles in child education in the contemporary era and formulates a conceptual framework to restore this authentic role in accordance with Islamic values. The research employs a qualitative approach through library research and conceptual review, analyzing classical and contemporary literature, the Qur’an, hadiths, and relevant scholarly works using content analysis techniques. Findings show that in Islam, the parental role encompasses spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and cultural dimensions. Scholars such as Al-Ghazali and Ibn Qayyim emphasize the importance of early education grounded in tawheed (monotheism) and akhlaq (morality). Meanwhile, digitalization, lifestyle shifts, and the erosion of religious values are among the key factors diminishing parental involvement today. The proposed conceptual framework offers foundational principles and contextual approaches for nurturing children within an Islamic framework. Theoretically, this study enriches the discourse of Islamic education; practically, its findings provide a foundation for designing family education policies and Islamic parenting programs that are both contextual and responsive to contemporary challenges.

Abstract

In today's education world, character building based on hadith plays an important role in responding to the problem of declining moral and ethical values. The purpose of this study is to explore in depth the importance of implementing character education based on hadith in the madrasa environment. This study uses a literature study method with a descriptive-qualitative method, which aims to examine various relevant literature related to character education, hadith, and its implementation in the context of madrasas. The results of the study indicate that the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW has great potential as a foundation in shaping students' character. Values ​​such as honesty, discipline, caring, and empathy contained in the hadith can be integrated into the curriculum and extracurricular activities of madrasas. The implementation of hadith-based character education in madrasas involves several strategies, including teacher role models. The implementation of hadith-based character education is greatly influenced by habituation in daily activities and through strong synergy between the madrasa and parents. This effort is expected to be able to form a generation that is not only noble, but also equipped with high spiritual and emotional intelligence, in accordance with the goals of comprehensive Islamic education.

Abstract

The conflict between students and parents in choosing an academic major is a common phenomenon, especially in collectivist cultures where family expectations significantly influence educational decisions. This study aims to explore various psychology-based career counseling approaches to bridge the perspective gap between students and parents. Using a literature review method, this research analyzes different theories, such as Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT), Career Construction Theory (CCT), Adolescent-Parent Career Congruence (APCC), and Self-Determination Theory (SDT), in the context of academic decision-making. The findings indicate that alignment between students' aspirations and parental expectations can be achieved through exploratory support rather than coercive approaches. Furthermore, counseling models that provide space for students to develop autonomy in decision-making have been proven to enhance their career readiness and satisfaction. This study recommends implementing counseling strategies that facilitate effective communication between students and parents, as well as incorporating more adaptive psychological approaches in career guidance programs in schools.

Abstract

This research article aims to examine the concept of education in adab as presented in the book Ta'lim al-Muta'allim by Imam Az-Zarnuji. The method employed is a literature review, analyzing the concept of adab proposed by Imam Az-Zarnuji in Ta'lim al-Muta'allim. The results of the study reveal that adab, which includes sincerity of intention (adab towards Allah), discipline (adab towards oneself), respect for teachers (adab towards teachers), harmonious relationships with fellow students (adab towards peers), and respect for parents, plays a crucial role in supporting an effective learning process and shaping the noble character of students. The implications of this research provide both philosophical and practical foundations for educators, students, and educational institutions to instill the values of adab as an integral part of the education system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential of crowdsourcing as an innovative tool for integrating community support into guidance and counseling services. Crowdsourcing not only enables the collection of ideas and solutions from various stakeholders but also enriches the counseling experience by incorporating broader perspectives. By utilizing technology, this approach can enhance the accessibility and relevance of counseling services, especially in today’s digital era. However, despite its numerous advantages, the implementation of crowdsourcing in guidance and counseling still faces challenges, including the lack of technological infrastructure and limited awareness of its benefits among counselors and educational institutions. Collaborative and systematic efforts are needed to overcome these barriers so that guidance and counseling services can become more effective and responsive to students’ needs. Therefore, the integration of crowdsourcing presents a promising solution to improve the quality and effectiveness of counseling services by actively involving the community and creating a wider support network. This opens up opportunities for broader public participation in supporting mental health and individual well- being. The findings of this study contribute to the development of more inclusive, adaptive, and community-based counseling practices that align with the evolving demands of modern educational environments.

Abstract

Students face various academic pressures and developmental challenges, such as physical, psychological, and social changes, which can negatively impact their emotional well-being. The inability to manage stress can affect academic performance and mental health. One effective approach to enhance resilience and emotion regulation is mindfulness. This article aims to analyze the implementation of mindfulness in guidance and counseling as a strategy to improve student resilience. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected from secondary sources. The findings indicate that mindfulness can help students develop self-awareness, manage negative emotions, and improve focus in learning. Despite its proven benefits, the application of mindfulness in Indonesian schools is still limited and not systematic. Therefore, specialized training for school counselors, as well as support from the school environment and community, is essential. Mindfulness, as a humanistic approach, should be integrated into the education system to foster emotionally and mentally resilient students.
