Abstract

This scoping review aims to synthesize empirical evidence on the association between perceived stress and immune function as examined within the framework of psychoneuroimmunology. Using PRISMA-ScR guidelines, four empirical studies published between 2016 and 2025 were selected from Semantic Scholar and PubMed. The review integrates evidence across various populations, including pregnant women, cancer patients, individuals with HPV infection, and healthy adults. Findings consistently show that high perceived stress is linked to measurable physiological changes, such as decreased immune gene expression, reduced T-cell and NK-cell activity, heightened systemic inflammation, microbiome imbalance, and accelerated immunosenescence. These results underscore that subjective psychological appraisal plays a central role in shaping biological vulnerability, demonstrating the interconnectedness of mental and physical health. The study highlights the importance of psychological interventions, such as cognitive restructuring, coping enhancement, and stressmanagement training to protect immune health. Future research should incorporate culturally relevant psychological factors and immune biomarkers to deepen understanding within the field of health psychology.

Abstract

Character education is a fundamental goal of education that emphasizes not only cognitive and psychomotor aspects but also moral, ethical, and social values. Physical education has strategic potential as a medium for character development through movement-based learning experiences, while the philosophy of science serves as a conceptual foundation for understanding human nature, learning processes, and educational objectives. This study aims to examine the role of the philosophy of science and physical education in shaping students’ character based on scientific literature. This research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA protocol. Literature searches were conducted through Google Scholar and SINTA databases covering the period from 2015 to 2025, with inclusion criteria consisting of Indonesian-language articles published in nationally accredited journals. A total of 11 articles met the selection criteria and were analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that the philosophy of science contributes to character development through ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions, while physical education effectively internalizes character values such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, sportsmanship, honesty, and moral-social awareness through physical activity experiences. The integration of the philosophy of science into physical education is also increasingly relevant in addressing character degradation challenges in the digital era. Therefore, strengthening the philosophical foundation of physical education is essential for fostering holistic and sustainable character development among students.

Abstract

Adjustment is a crucial process that new students must undergo when entering college. The transition from a school environment to a university environment requires students to adapt to a more independent learning pattern, higher academic demands, and more diverse social dynamics. At UINSU, this adaptation process is unique because students face not only academic situations but also the religious culture that characterizes the campus. This study aims to describe the experiences of new students in adjusting to the university environment, identify factors that support and hinder adaptation, and explore the strategies used by students during this process. This study used a qualitative approach using interviews with several new UINSU students. The results indicate that the students' adjustment process is influenced by social relationships, the academic system, the campus environment, facilities, and internal psychological factors. Furthermore, social support from peers and campus activities play a significant role in helping students navigate the transition. These findings are expected to provide input for the university in providing adaptation support programs for new students to ensure a more comfortable and effective learning process.

Abstract

Low academic performance in mathematics among elementary school students is often associated with the perception that mathematics is difficult and less interesting. One effort to improve learning outcomes is the use of rewards as positive reinforcement for students learning behavior. This study aims to examine the effect of reward provision on elementary school students mathematics academic performance. A quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test control group design was used. The participants were 58 first-grade students, divided into an experimental class (1D) and a control class (1B). Sticker rewards were given to students who obtained scores above the class average for four weeks. Data were collected from daily assignment scores before and after the intervention. The data were analyzed using a t-test with a significance level of 0.05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana hubungan emosional antara anak dan orang tua serta pengaruh pola asuh terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis dan kepercayaan diri. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan empat responden mengenai kedekatan emosional, komunikasi dari hati ke hati, serta persepsi terhadap perhatian dan dukungan orang tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya variasi pengalaman emosional: satu responden (R1) merasakan kedekatan yang tinggi dengan komunikasi terbuka dan dukungan emosional yang konsisten, sedangkan tiga responden lainnya (R2, R3, R4) mengalami kedekatan sedang hingga rendah akibat komunikasi terbatas, kurangnya apresiasi, dan perhatian orang tua yang minim. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pola asuh yang hangat dan penuh perhatian dapat membangun kepercayaan diri, kesejahteraan psikologis, dan motivasi belajar anak, sementara pola asuh yang kurang hangat berpotensi menimbulkan jarak emosional, kesepian, dan perasaan tidak dihargai. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya untuk melakukan dialog terbuka pada orang tua dan anak, kepekaan orang tua, dan perhatian emosional untuk membangun hubungan keluarga yang sehat dan harmonis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua dalam pendampingan belajar anak melalui pemberian psikoedukasi. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada kurangnya pengetahuan orang tua terkait pentingnya pendampingan belajar pada anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 30 orang tua yang memiliki anak sedang menempuh pendidikan. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi pemberian pre test dan post tets. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji wilcoxon dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 27. Hasil uji menunjukkan nilai p pada pre-test dan post-test sebesar 0,01 yang artinya p < 0,05. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa signifikan dan uji wilcoxon terpenuhi. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa pemberian intervensi yang dilakukan memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap variabel yang diteliti. Artinya, terdapat perubahan yang bermakna setelah diberikan perlakuan yang ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan skor sebelum dan sesudah pemberian intervensi.

Abstract

Keterbatasan dalam membedakan warna atau buta warna dapat menjadi penghalang bagi remaja dalam aktivitas belajar dan pemilihan karier. Skrining buta warna berbasis web menawarkan alternatif deteksi dini yang fleksibel dan interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji coba website "SUAR" (Skrining Uji Angka Remaja) yang mengimplementasikan tes Ishihara 15 plate, dilengkapi modul edukasi dan permainan warna. Metode pengembangan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan antarmuka responsif, implementasi, dan uji coba pengguna. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa website mudah digunakan, memberikan hasil skrining dalam waktu singkat (sekitar tiga menit), serta menyediakan informasi edukatif yang meningkatkan kesadaran akan kesehatan mata. Website SUAR berpotensi menjadi pelengkap skrining buta warna konvensional, memperluas akses, dan meningkatkan literasi kesehatan mata pada remaja. Dengan demikian, website ini diharapkan dapat mendukung upaya promotif dan preventif kesehatan mata pada remaja.

Abstract

Mahasiswa yang berperan ganda sebagai pekerja dan pelajar sering menghadapi tekanan dari tuntutan akademik sekaligus pekerjaan, sehingga memerlukan resiliensi akademik untuk dapat menyesuaikan diri, bertahan, dan tetap produktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana efikasi diri dan dukungan sosial berkaitan dengan resiliensi akademik pada mahasiswa yang bekerja. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik accidental sampling, melibatkan 110 partisipan yang bekerja dan berdomisili di Surabaya. Hasil analisis simultan mengungkapkan bahwa efikasi diri dan dukungan sosial secara bersama-sama memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap resiliensi akademik (p < 0,05). Selain itu, efikasi diri maupun dukungan sosial secara individual menunjukkan hubungan positif dengan resiliensi akademik. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peran faktor internal dan eksternal dalam mendukung resiliensi akademik mahasiswa yang bekerja, sekaligus menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan program pendampingan dan penguatan psikologis.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling (GC) services are an integral part of the school education system that play an important role inSupporting students’ learning motivation and optimal development. The implementation of GC services requires a well-planned Service pattern that is adjusted to students’ needs and developmental stages. This study aims to describe the pattern of Guidance And Counseling services in supporting students’ motivation and development based on the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Approach. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The study was conducted at SMP Al-Muttaqin And SMP Negeri 2 Cisayong, with Guidance and Counseling teachers as the research subjects. Data were collected through Observation, interviews, and documentation analysis. The results indicate that GC service patterns are implemented progressively Through Tier 1 (universal services), Tier 2 (responsive services), and Tier 3 (intensive services), which contribute to improving Students’ learning motivation and supporting their personal, social, and academic development. The implementation of a Structured MTSS-based GC service pattern enables guidance services to be delivered more systematically and in accordance with Students’ needs within the school environment.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between psychological capital and job satisfaction through work engagement among employees in Surabaya. A quantitative correlational design was employed. Participants consisted of 399 active employees from various work sectors in Surabaya selected using convenience sampling. Data were collected using three instruments: the 12-item Psychological Capital Questionnaire, the 17-item Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, and the 36-item Job Satisfaction Survey. Data analysis was conducted using linear regression and mediation analysis based on Ordinary Least Squares. The results indicate that psychological capital does not directly influence job satisfaction. Psychological capital influences work engagement, and work engagement influences job satisfaction. Mediation analysis confirms that work engagement fully mediates the relationship between psychological capital and job satisfaction. These findings indicate that job satisfaction is formed through work engagement rather than directly from internal psychological resources.
