Abstract

Sociology cannot be directly used in distorting the scope of jurisprudence in terms of its independence, sociology of law is a middle way with various intersections. The complex reality in society gives many distortions whether the law can be independent or become a truly substantially open system, amidst the position of our legal development, which was previously the perspective of Dutch scientists and is currently required to accommodate “the laws that live in a society” So the role of legal sociology in law enforcement in society is very much needed. This research is qualitative descriptive research with the type of library research. The method used in this research is normative legal research methodology, which places law as a building block of ethical structures (namely regarding principles, ethics, regulations from statutory provisions, court decisions, agreements, and doctrine). In this research, the law is not an autonomous institution but is interdisciplinary in dealing with social phenomena to create social welfare. Law enforcement in society is an effort to realize respect for social norms. Through legal improvement, it must include preventive and repressive improvement stages, edit of morality, the behavior of law enforcement officials, and as an essential element is community involvement.

Abstract

Cervical Root Syndrome (CRS) is caused by spinal nerve root compression, manifesting as neck pain, sensory disturbances, and functional impairments. This study evaluates the effectiveness of combining Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Neck Calliet Exercise in managing CRS symptoms. A case study was conducted on a 52-year-old woman presenting with pain and functional limitations due to CRS. The interventions were applied in four sessions over two weeks at Ciremai Hospital, Cirebon. TENS was administered at 50-200 Hz frequency and 50-150 µs pulse duration for 15 minutes, targeting the m. splenius capitis and m. upper trapezius muscles bilaterally. The Neck Calliet Exercise included active movements, isometric contractions, and contract-relax stretching. Pain was assessed using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), while functional disability was evaluated with the Neck Disability Index (NDI). Post-intervention results revealed a significant reduction in pain across all neck movements, with some movements achieving complete pain resolution. Functional disability scores improved from moderate (42%) to mild (28%), demonstrating enhanced cervical mobility and motor control. These findings suggest that combining TENS and Neck callit exercise provides a synergistic approach to alleviating pain and improving functional outcomes in CRS patients.

Abstract

The digital era has significantly transformed consumer behavior while simultaneously presenting new challenges in the protection of consumer rights. This study aims to analyze the juridical challenges and prospects of state administrative law in enforcing consumer rights within the digital context. Employing normative legal research methods, this study is based on secondary data, including statutory regulations, academic literature, and tertiary legal references. The findings reveal a regulatory gap caused by the rapid pace of technological advancement, weak inter-agency coordination, limited digital literacy among consumers, and the complexity of cross-border transactions. Although the Consumer Protection Law serves as the primary legal foundation, its implementation remains insufficient in the digital realm. Consequently, state administrative law must undergo adaptive transformation by enhancing digital public services, personal data protection, and the accountability of public officials. Comprehensive regulatory reform, capacity building for legal apparatus, development of digital infrastructure, and public education are essential to establishing an effective and responsive consumer protection framework in the digital age. This research contributes both theoretically and practically to the renewal of administrative law and the formulation of adaptive public policy for digital consumer protection.

Abstract

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have the potential to serve as fiduciary collateral in Indonesia. As a blockchain-based innovation, NFTs enable the unique representation and transfer of digital asset ownership. Under Indonesia’s Fiduciary Security Law, NFTs qualify as fiduciary collateral objects since they are classified as intangible assets. This study examines copyright protection for NFTs in the context of fiduciary collateral, along with the legal and technical challenges in their implementation. Key obstacles include the lack of specific regulatory frameworks, insufficient blockchain infrastructure, and limited public understanding of NFTs as fiduciary collateral. Consequently, there is a need for comprehensive regulations and the establishment of oversight institutions to ensure transactional legality and security.Such regulatory measures are expected to facilitate the use of NFTs as fiduciary collateral, enhance public trust, and promote the growth of a blockchain-based digital ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the dynamics of unhealthy friendships and their impact on the mental health of students at state universities in Jember Regency. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research investigates students’ subjective experiences in navigating interpersonal relationships characterized by manipulation, value suppression, and power imbalance. Data were collected through observation, documentation, in-depth interviews, and semi-structured questionnaires. The findings indicate that 78% of respondents have experienced unhealthy friendships, which significantly affect their psychological well-being, including increased stress, decreased self-confidence, sleep disturbances, diminished motivation to study, and reduced academic performance. These results underscore the need for systemic interventions by higher education institutions to raise student awareness regarding the risks of unhealthy friendships and to provide adequate psychosocial support. Recommendations include strengthening mentoring programs, peer counseling, and healthy communication education as preventive and responsive measures to foster a supportive campus social ecosystem that promotes student mental health.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of work experience on supervisor performance, with self-efficacy acting as a mediating variable, within the context of the Hajj and Umrah Guidance Group (KBIHU) Bina Umat Mulya Abadi in Yogyakarta. Grounded in the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory, which emphasizes human resources as strategic organizational assets, this research addresses the performance variability among pilgrimage supervisors—a phenomenon presumed to be shaped not only by accumulated experience but also by psychological factors such as self-efficacy. Employing a quantitative associative approach, data were collected through structured interviews and standardized questionnaires administered to KBIHU supervisors. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the proposed relationships. The results demonstrate that work experience significantly and positively affects supervisor performance, both directly and indirectly through self-efficacy. These findings underscore the importance of integrating experiential learning with psychological capacity-building in religious non-profit institutions. The study contributes to the theoretical enrichment of human resource management in faith-based service organizations and offers practical implications for the development of targeted training and mentorship programs aimed at enhancing supervisor competence and service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping student character amid the moral crisis of the modern era. Technological advancement, the global flow of information, and shifts in social values have triggered a moral crisis marked by increasing juvenile delinquency, drug abuse, promiscuity, and the emergence of LGBT trends among students. In this context, PAI serves a strategic function as a moral and spiritual foundation that fosters religious and ethical character. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review and document analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of PAI in instilling core character values such as integrity, responsibility, empathy, religiosity, and discipline. The findings indicate that PAI is effective in shaping student character when supported by a contextual curriculum, competent educators, innovative teaching methods, and active involvement from parents and the community. The study also highlights the need for transformative PAI learning approaches, including religious digital literacy, experiential learning, and continuous teacher training. These insights are expected to contribute to the development of a more relevant and responsive PAI curriculum in addressing the moral challenges of the modern era.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of cyberbullying among students demands a preventive approach that goes beyond technical solutions, incorporating moral and religious values. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in preventing cyberbullying by internalizing Islamic values within students’ digital ethics. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review, this research examines academic literature, educational policy documents, and previous studies to construct a thematic understanding of the IRE teachers’ contributions in shaping students’ character in the digital era. The findings reveal that IRE teachers hold significant potential as moral agents in instilling Islamic digital ethics, such as honesty, mutual respect, and the prohibition of harming others. Cyberbullying prevention efforts can be more effective when supported by Islamic-based digital literacy training, contextual pedagogical strategies, and collaboration among schools, families, and religious institutions. This study contributes to the development of a curriculum that is responsive to digital challenges and provides a foundation for educational policies focused on fostering digitally literate youth with strong moral character rooted in Islamic values.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of moving the capital city on Indonesia's geopolitical dynamics and how this move contributes to the transformation of national identity. Rimland Theory is used to analyze the geopolitical aspects, highlighting the importance of the Nusantara's position at the center of the Asia-Pacific region and its potential impact on Indonesia's influence in the region. Benedict Anderson's Imagined Communities provides a framework for understanding how the relocation of the capital city could redefine Indonesia's national identity, by introducing an inclusive narrative that transcends the dominance of Javanese culture. This research uses a qualitative approach with document analysis and interviews with political, social and cultural experts. The findings show that relocating the capital city has the potential to accelerate equitable development and strengthen Indonesia's position in the international arena. In addition, the relocation of the capital city also opens up opportunities to create a more inclusive national narrative, by recognizing cultural diversity outside Java. The novelty of this research lies in the application of both theories to examine the role of the archipelago as a new symbol that represents transformation in the geopolitical aspects and national identity of Indonesia.
