Awal Bros Journal of Community Development with registered number ISSN 2746-0142 (online) is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by LPPM Universitas Awal Bros Pekanbaru. It is in the national level that covers a lot of common problems or issues related to community services. Abstract

Ginger is the most commonly used medicinal plant in the world. Its rhizome which contains zingiberol has been shown to reduce inflammation and joint pain. Osteoarthritis is a chronic joint area characterized by abnormalities in the cartilage (cartilage) of the joints and adjacent bones. Based on a preliminary survey conducted at UPT PSTW Khusnul khotimah Pekanbaru, almost 90% of the elderly had osteoarthritis. This community service is carried out in the city of Pekanbaru with the aim of providing knowledge to the public about offering red ginger warm compresses to reduce osteoarthritis pain, providing knowledge to the public regarding the effectiveness of providing red ginger warm compresses to reduce osteoarthritis pain and as input in order to provide motivation to improve management presents a warm compress of red ginger against osteoarthritis pain in the elderly. The results of this activity are expected for the community to make warm compresses of red ginger as an alternative way to reduce osteoarthritis pain.

Abstract

People activities have changed by the emergence of the Covid-19 outbreak which continues to increase. The public's lack of understanding of the Covid-19 Virus and efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 is the duty of educators to provide education to the people. In this article, the author describes people activities that have been carried out to increase public understanding about Covid-19. People activities carried out at the Rejosari Health Center, Tenayan Raya District used the method of distributing brochures, lectures, discussions and questions and answers. For the results of this people activity, the people has understood the efforts that can be taken to prevent the spread of Covid-19, one of which is by implementing health protocols. The implementation of this activity is also a form of support for the Pekanbaru mayor's regulation Number 104 of 2020 regarding guidelines for new productive and safe people's living behavior in preventing and controlling the 2019 corona virus disease. This activity can also increase public awareness in maintaining personal hygiene and the environment.

Abstract

According to Permenkes No. 43 of 2019 Puskesmas is a health service facility that organizes public health efforts and first-level individual health efforts, by prioritizing promotive and preventive efforts in their working areas. The Puskesmas Information System is an arrangement that provides information to assist the decision-making process in implementing the management of the Puskesmas to achieve the target of its activities. The method we use is lecture and question and answer discussion. The tools we use during the counseling are brochures and banners. The counseling will be held at the Rejosari Health Center on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. From 08.00 to 11.00 WIB. The counseling materials that will be provided include understanding the flow of the puskesmas, providing information related to the units in the puskesmas and directing the instructions for the service flow at the puskesmas. At the end of the process of counseling the service flow at the puskesmas, visitors and patients can understand the existing service flow.

Abstract

Most of the people in the Pebatuan village are still confused about the flow of services at the hospital due to the lack of information related to this. This causes some people to be lazy to go to the hospital for reasons of difficult process and others. Therefore, the holding of outreach activities related to the flow of services in the hospital starting from the patient entering, then registration, action, inpatient or outpatient, pharmacies, cashiers until the patient goes home. because the process is difficult and so on. The method of community service is by distributing brochures, lectures, and discussions as well as answering questions. This community service was carried out in the Pebatuan Village, Tenayan Raya District, held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. The implementation starts from the opening and greetings from the presenter, then the presentation of material by the resource person, the question and answer session and discussion is then closed by saying greetings. This community service is important for the community to provide clear information regarding the flow of services in the hospital, and it is important for people whose cultural customs are still strong.

Abstract

There are several things that are factors that influence mutual cooperation behavior such as the absence of a driving team and lack of support from related parties. Improving the behavior of mutual cooperation in the community of the yellow bamboo village is important because with the existence of mutual cooperation activities, it creates a clean environment. A clean environment certainly makes life healthy for humans because the environment plays an important role in the development of human life. Therefore we need care and attention to the environment around us in order to balance life in living daily life. The method used is lectures and posters, and activities are carried out at the Posyandu, Bambu Kuning Village on Saturday 27 March 2021 at 08.00 am until finished. The counseling materials provided include the objectives of mutual cooperation, the benefits of mutual cooperation and the presentation of data on the 10 biggest diseases in the yellow bamboo village. At the end of the counseling, the community understood the importance of mutual cooperation behavior and solutions were also found in order to improve mutual cooperation behavior such as the result of a mutual agreement between the RW heads, RT heads and the surrounding community, namely by making a mutual cooperation schedule for each RT in turn and determining the gotong royong post, which was set. at posyandu. And the driving team is the RW and RT heads in the yellow bamboo village.

Abstract

In 2020 WHO gave the status that Corona Virus Disease -19 (COVID-19) became a Global Pandemic. Health workers who handle cases of COVID-19 are responsible for protecting themselves and others to break the chain of spread of COVID-19. One of the medical personnel involved in handling COVID-19 is a radiographer. The role of radiographers in handling COVID-19 in hospitals needs to be socialized more, considering its very important role in evaluating patient health and requiring radiographers to have direct contact with positive patients. For radiographers, the source of danger at work is not only COVID-19, but ionizing radiation is also a source of danger that must also be taken into account. The public must also be aware of the risks and challenges faced by radiographers in their work during this pandemic. The method used in this community service is by presentation or extension or education. This Community Service is carried out to introduce the role of radiographers in hospitals when there are patients with COVID-19 cases, so that these health workers can be more recognized by the general public. The target audience for this community service is SMA (High School) students with the aim of cultivating an interest in the younger generation to become radiographic health workers. As a result of this community service, participants were given knowledge about radiology, starting from workers (radiographers), the tools used to their role in the health world. The results of participants' understanding of Community Service activities, all participants understood the role of radiographers in treating COVID-19 patients in hospitals and 91% of participants understood what a radiographer was, and as many as 64% of participants were interested in becoming radiographers, and the remaining 36% of participants were not interested. be a radiographer. Community service activities regarding the role of radiographers in hospitals have been carried out well. Participants become more familiar with the duties of workers in the radiation field.

Abstract

Safe and quality health services in hospitals have become the main hope and goal of the community/patients, health workers, hospital managers and owners as well as regulators. The services implemented in hospitals during the Covid-19 pandemic are called hospital services during the adaptation period for new habits. In this article, the author describes community service activities that have been carried out to increase public understanding of the flow of treatment services in hospitals and health protokols implemented in hospitals during the pandemic. Community service activities were carried out in RW 002 Kulim Village, Kulim District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province by using the method of displaying service flowchart images in hospitals, lectures, to discussions and Q&A. As for the results of this community activity, the community has understood how the general flow of treatment services in hospitals is. The implementation of this activity is one form of support for the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia regarding technical guidelines for hospital services during the adaptation period of new habits. This activity can also provide new knowledge to the community regarding the flow of services and health protokols for patients in hospitals.

Abstract

Healthcare and Social Security Agency is one of the health programs facilitated by the government. In order to improve the quality and ease of access to health services for all participants, Healthcare and Social Security Agency has offered a service program called the referral program (RP). The amount of public misunderstanding of the program is a challenge for Healthcare and Social Security Agency service officers and the government. Therefore it is necessary to make efforts to provide an understanding to the public about the program. The community service activities have been carried out in RW 1 Kulim Village, Kulim District, Pekanbaru City, in order to assist the government's task to provide understanding to the community. The method of community service activities carried out is by distributing brochures, giving lectures by resource persons, discussions and questions and answers. As for the results of this community activity, the community has understood what a referral program (RP) is and how to get a referral program. The evaluation of this community service activity was also carried out through a discussion forum with the village and sub-district leaders of Kulim. In the evaluation activity, village and sub-district leaders said that this activity provided benefits for the community.

Abstract

In this COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesian people began to experience various impacts. One of the negative impacts is the decrease in the number of visits to health facilities, due to the fear of seeking treatment. In this article, the author describes community service activities that have been carried out to increase public understanding of the Tenayan Raya Health Center as a Level I Health Facility in Kulim, Pekanbaru. Community service activities carried out at the Cempaka Indah Posyandu in RW 001 Kulim used the lecture method and question and answer discussion. The result of this community service is to increase the knowledge of the RW 001 Kulim community about the health facilities in Kulim so that people can use their BPJS Health according to the tiered referral system.

Abstract

The integrated service post for the elderly is a forum for communication and health services by the community for the community that has strategic value for the development of human resources, especially the elderly. Posyandu activities are a manifestation of community participation in maintaining and improving their health status. In this article the author describes community service activities that have been carried out to increase understanding of the flow of integrated service post services for the elderly. Community service activities carried out at the Mekar Sehati Integrated Service Post, Kulim Village, used the method of installing banners and socializing about the flow of services for the Integrated Service Post for the Elderly. The results of this community service activity are to provide the community with understanding and sharing information about the flow in the integrated service post for the elderly so that the process from beginning to end runs in an orderly manner. And there is an innovation, namely the creation of a queue number that will be given to the elderly who want to visit the integrated service post.
