TRANSFORMATIKA: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya is a peer-reviewed scientific open access journal, with e-ISSN 2549-5941 and p-ISSN 2549-5971 It has been published by the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Tidar. The research article submitted to this online journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) reviewers. Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through initial review processes by Editorial Board. Then, the articles will be sent to peer reviewer (Mitra Bestari) and will go to the next selection by the double-blind review process. After that, the articles will be returned to the authors to revise. These processes take a month for a maximum time. In each manuscript, peer reviewer will be rated from the substantial and technical aspects. Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by editors according to reviewers comments. Peer reviewer that collaboration with Transformatika: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya is the experts in the linguistics, literature, and their teaching area and issues around it. They were experienced in the prestigious journal management and publication that was spread around the nation and abroad. TRANSFORMATIKA: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya is issued quarterly: in March, June, September, and December. TRANSFORMATIKA: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya features research novelties and significance for scientific advancement in one of the fields of the published manuscripts. This journal welcomes submissions from around the world as well as from Indonesia. Manuscripts published including. Linguistics; phonology, morphology, syntax, discourse analysis, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, and critical discourse analysis. Literature: local literature studies, Indonesian literature, foreign literature studies, children literature, literature studies for character education, and other literary studies. Indonesian Language and Literature: curriculum development, learning methods, learning materials, learning media, assessment, Indonesian language learning across curricula, information and communications technology in Indonesian language learning, language skills, and other Indonesian language learning analyses. Abstract

The rapid flow of globalization and modernization that has hit the Indonesian nation has made character education increasingly eroded. This can be proven by seeing the decreasing character of students regarding their use of language and impolite speech. Apart from that, students' interest in reading a text is decreasing, they may not even understand what they are reading. They are more interested in their respective cellphones which are only used for playing games, watching films, and even using social media. On the other hand, teachers' lack of language skills is a factor in slowing the transfer of knowledge to students. Therefore, the role of school teachers is needed to straighten students' characters and increase their interest in reading. The way to do this is through fun language and literature learning. So, the aim of this research is that the author wants to know how to improve student character and literacy through creative digital-based literary learning media. The method used in this service is class action through teachers. The result of achieving the target of this service is an increase in the teacher's ability to strengthen student character and student interest in reading.

Abstract

Learning media is a component that supports effectiveness in the learning process in Indonesian language subjects. In applying media in learning, teachers are advised to apply media that can make students interested in learning and raise their motivation in learning. As technology develops in the current digital era, there are more and more technology-based learning media. Powtoon media is a technology-based learning media that can attract students to learn and raise their motivation. This is because the media is an animated video that combines audio and visuals which can provide a special attraction in learning negotiation texts for class X-4 students. This research examines the application of Powtoon media in learning negotiation texts for class X-4 students at SMA N 5 Semarang. The main problem is the low interest of students in learning about negotiation text material which is delivered only through the lecture method without interactive learning media. Therefore, researchers apply new innovations in the learning process in the form of applying Powtoon media in learning negotiation texts with the aim of increasing activity so that students are more enthusiastic and active in learning, in addition to making students understand more about the structure of negotiation texts Powtoon media. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through tests and non-tests. The research results show that the application of Powtoon is effective in increasing student participation, this is shown by the test results of students with the highest score of 95 and the lowest score of 85, and non-test results in the form of interviews and observations show that students are active and enthusiastic in learning.

Abstract

Linguistics is generally defined as the scientific study of human language. Whereas language is considered as an instrument of communication through which human experience is analyzed differently. Meanwhile, the spread of linguistics theories is propelled by the desire to find better ways to learn and acquire foreign languages, such as French. Hence, in what ways have the development of linguistics theories contributed to language learning and acquisition? An attempt to answer this question was made and some linguistic theories were explained.

Abstract

The Serat Piwulang Kasampurnaning Ngagesang manuscript is one of the Javanese manuscripts that contains the teachings of life. This manuscript is important to study because it contains teachings to achieve perfection in life according to Javanese thinking. The problem in this study is that the Javanese people's thoughts about the perfection of life contained in this manuscript have not been revealed. The purpose of the research is to explore the thoughts of the Javanese people from the source of the text of Serat Piwulang Kasampurnaning Ngagesang which then the results of the description can be known to the general public and can be used as a guideline for the younger generation. This study uses an objective approach, with heuristic and hermeneutic reading models. Heuristic reading is carried out by reading the entire text sourced from the NB 807 manuscript of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. Hermeneutic reading is carried out by paying attention to textual, historical and philosophical meanings. The results of the study show that there is a view of the importance of names for human life and the seven things that are desired in life. Javanese people view the name as something important because it is an honor for everyone. Perfection of life for Javanese people is the fulfillment of seven desired things consisting of health and safety, food, shelter, clothing, honor or power, security and peace of mind, sincerity and sustainability. And the key to getting these seven things is to be grateful, patient, praying, and trying. All of it comes from the heart of each one. The heart can have taste, but the taste does not have the heart.

Abstract

Independence is important for every individual, especially women, to express themselves freely and do whatever they want without depending on others. Independence does not only occur due to the influence of others, but can occur as a result of encouragement from oneself who is already aware of one's identity. This research aims to describe the value of independence contained in the novel Sabiya by Mellyana Dhian. This study uses qualitative research with a descriptive analysis method. The subject of the study uses the novel Sabiya by Mellayana Dhian and the object of the research is the value of independence. The data collection technique used in this study uses the technique of reading, recording and summarizing. The results of the study showed data the value of independence contained in the novel Sabiya by Mellyana Dhian including behavioral autonomy and emotional autonomy. The results of the analysis are then used as recommendations for teaching materials for novel texts in SMK.

Abstract

The research has a psychological background that the people experience, namely emotional control. This problem is related to the psychology of the characters in the short About Us and the Sea by Yetti A.KA., especially the emotions that dominate the female characters. Researchers used qualitative descriptive methods referring to literary psychology. Data collection techniques include listening, taking notes and a literature study process. Next, the data is analyzed by collecting, reducing, presenting and drawing conclusions. The results of this research found that from the three short stories analyzed there were 32 character emotional data consisting of 12 basic emotions, 10 emotions related to sensory stimulation, 6 emotions related to self-assessment, and 4 emotions related to other people. There is complete emotional data obtained from the three short stories. The emotions that character often feel are basic emotions with feelings of happiness and sadness dominating.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the types of interrogative sentences in the NovelToon Kulepas Kau dengan Bismillah by D'wie. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by describing the use of interrogative sentences in the conversation of the main character in the NovelToon Kulepas Kau with Bismillah. The results of this research include four types of question sentences, there are 196 ordinary question sentences, 17 rhetorical question sentences, 58 disguised question sentences, and 89 clarifying questions. Of the four types of question sentences, 361 quotations were found, the most dominant type of question sentence used in NovelToon Kulepas Kau dengan Bismillah by D'wie was a regular question sentence which appeared 196 times, while rhetorical question sentences with 17 quotations were the most common type of question sentence. appeared a little. The reason why there are more ordinary interrogative sentences in D'wie's NovelToon Kulepas Kau dengan Bismillah is because ordinary interrogative sentences are often used to obtain information directly, often appear in everyday communication, and have a simple structure. Meanwhile, rhetorical question sentences are used less often because they aim to express feelings without requiring an answer.

Abstract

This research specifically aims to describe the personality structure and personality of the character Lucas Ford in the novel In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. This type of research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive method, which collects and analyzes scientific data and then describes the facts in detail to determine the personality structure and personality of the character Lucas Ford in the novel In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan. The research studied is the personality structure and personalities of characters in literary works. This approach will provide an overview of the thought processes experienced by Lucas Ford in the form of id, ego, and superego personality structures, and in the form of choleric, melanchole, phlegma, and sanguine personalities. The results of the research show that Lucas Ford's personality structure in the novel In a Blue Moon Ilana Tan's work is Lucas Ford's id which tries to find pleasure, the ego which adheres to the principles of reality and reality while the superego tries to understand the needs of the id and ego. Lucas Ford's personality in the novel In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan is the more prominent of the four personalities, namely choleric (choleric). Lucas Ford's personality is wise, focused on goals, confident, firm, flammable, brave and honest. The choleric personality also has ego and superego personality structures.

Abstract

This research is motivated by shifts in increasingly complex religious values. The widespread news regarding the phenomenon of excessive selfies during the Umrah pilgrimage illustrates a shift in religious values. This research aims to describe the religious values ​​contained in the novel Assalamu'alaikum Baitullah by Asma Nadia. The method used is qualitative with descriptive data analysis techniques. This research uses two data collection techniques, namely observation techniques and literature study techniques. Primary data was obtained from the novel Assalamu'alaikum Baitullah by Asma Nadia and secondary data was obtained from various relevant sources. The theory used is the Atmosuwito religious value theory. The results of the research show that there are six aspects of religious values ​​in the novel Assalamu'alaikum Baitullah by Asma Nadia, namely; 1) surrender, submission, and obedience, 2) a life full of glory, 3) inner feelings of connection with God, 4) feelings of sin, 5) feelings of fear, and 6) recognizing the greatness of God. Novels that contain religious values, if studied, can influence someone to apply religious values ​​in everyday life. This research will be recommended as module type printed teaching material for second semester high school students in class XII.

Abstract

This classroom action research was conducted to examine the extent to which the application of the Team Game Tournament (TGT) model combined with the Quizizz game media can increase students' learning motivation. The subjects of this study were 30 students of class XII I of SMAN 5 Kupang. This research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data measured were the activeness and learning motivation of students. The activeness of students was measured using an observation sheet of learning implementation observed by two observers, while learning motivation was measured using a motivation questionnaire consisting of 20 items. The indicators measured in the motivation questionnaire consisted of attention, relevance, satisfaction, and confidence. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study obtained: 1) in cycle I, students were seen to be inactive, lacking initiative in noting down important points about the material, and in cycle II they were seen to be active and enthusiastic in answering questions from teachers and friends, and were brave enough to ask questions. 2) students' learning motivation increased, in cycle I 60% were very good: 6.66 were quite good: and 33% were not good. While in cycle II, 90% of students were categorized as very good, and 10% were quite good. The results of this study indicate that the use of the TGT model based on Quizizz media can increase students' learning activity and motivation.
