Abstract

Students with deaf disabilities often have difficulty understanding verbal instruction, but have significant advantages in visual and motor aspects. This service activity aims to apply multisensory methods through Suminagashi craft art training (cloth marbling) to improve students' fine motor skills and creativity at SLB B Yakut Purwokerto. The implementation method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a "see-learn-do" strategy involving 20 high school students. The learning process integrates visual stimulation through structured demonstrations and tactile stimulation through the exploration of material textures. The results of the activity showed that the multisensory approach was effective in bridging the barriers of deaf students with disabilities in communicating due to hearing limitations. Students demonstrate a high level of visual focus and are able to replicate marble motif making techniques with precision without relying on complex verbal explanations. The combination of cue instructions and direct touch experiences has been proven to minimize miscommunication and improve understanding of abstract concepts of the material. This activity recommends the use of visual-tactile strategies as an adaptive inclusive learning method to support the vocational independence of deaf people.

Abstract

Durian Bhineka Bawor is one of the leading local commodities of Alasmalang Village with high economic potential. However, product promotion and marketing activities are still dominated by conventional methods and limited local networks, resulting in restricted market access, low competitiveness, and the absence of structured product information documentation. This community service program aims to address these challenges through the implementation of an interactive website integrated with an AI Agent, serving as a centralized information platform as well as a digital product ordering service. The main objectives of this program are to strengthen local durian branding through the utilization of modern digital technology, expand market reach, and enhance community digital literacy. The implementation method was carried out in several stages, including program coordination and socialization, content needs assessment, website design and development, AI Agent and WhatsApp server integration, system testing, manager training, official deployment, and continuous assistance. The AI Agent provides interactive services in the form of product information delivery, personalized recommendations, and order facilitation directly connected to the admin dashboard and social media platforms, thereby accelerating transaction processes and improving consumer experience. The expected outcomes of this program include the establishment of a more professional, transparent, and efficient promotion and ordering system for Durian Bhineka Bawor products. The developed platform is expected to expand market access, increase product sales, and create new digital-based business opportunities. Furthermore, this program contributes to community empowerment by improving digital skills and technology management capabilities to support local economic independence and competitiveness.

Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the limited capacity of village officials in providing government administration services, particularly in managing correspondence, archiving documents, and implementing standard operating procedures for services. This condition has resulted in the suboptimal quality of public services at the village level. The objective of this activity was to improve the capacity and competence of village officials in providing village government administration services to be more effective, efficient, and accountable. The method used was a participatory approach through the stages of problem identification, joint planning, regulation socialization, technical training, service simulations, and implementation assistance. The subjects of the activity were officials from Kadur Village, North Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency. The results of the activity showed an increase in the officials' understanding and skills in administrative management, the development of a more standardized administrative document format, and a growing collective awareness of the importance of orderly administration as part of good governance. In addition, internal leadership initiatives emerged that encouraged sustainable change within the village government environment. Overall, this activity had a positive impact on improving the quality of village administration services and was the first step towards a more professional transformation of village governance.

Abstract

The health of elementary school-aged children is a crucial phase for physical growth and cognitive development, but the school environment is often vulnerable to the spread of disease due to a lack of understanding of hygiene. This community service activity aims to increase students' awareness of the dangers of germs at SD Negeri Sumberbulu 1 through education on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) with a primary focus on Handwashing with Soap (CTPS). The implementation method is carried out through three stages: preparation and coordination, educational implementation using animated videos and live demonstrations of the 6 steps of CTPS, and the follow-up stage. The results of the activity showed that the use of visual media and icebreakers effectively increased students' enthusiasm and understanding in absorbing the health steps taught. As a form of sustainability, the team coordinated with the school, which then expressed its willingness to integrate the CTPS scheme into the school's daily routine independently. Thus, this program successfully transformed healthy behavior into a permanent school culture to maintain the quality of life for the next generation.

Abstract

 This Community Service Program aims to optimize the role of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) organization in improving the family economy as an effort to support family welfare and resilience. Family economic resilience plays an important role in preventing various social and health problems, including stunting, which remains a concern in community development. The program was implemented in Panjangan Hamlet, Sendangsari, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta, with local PKK members as the primary target participants. The activities were carried out through entrepreneurship counseling, financial literacy training, and assistance in preparing simple bookkeeping for household businesses. This program was designed to enhance the capacity of PKK members in managing businesses and family finances more effectively. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of household business management, simple financial record-keeping, and more systematic family financial planning. In addition, participants gained practical knowledge and skills that could be utilized to support increased family income. Through this program, PKK members are expected to optimize their family economic potential, thereby fostering sustainable economic independence. Furthermore, the program is expected to contribute to the development of more prosperous, empowered, and resilient rural communities.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of chips in Pugeran Village, Gondang District, Mojokerto Regency face structural obstacles in the form of limited internal governance and weak market penetration. Around 80% of business actors are still managed conventionally, triggering production inefficiencies and a lack of mastery of persuasive marketing language on packaging. This community service activity aims to reconstruct an effective division of labor based on HR governance mindset, build the capacity of practical skills in packaging copywriting and digital media, and change business behavior from conventional reactive to strategic proactive. The program is implemented with an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through three main intervention stages, namely diagnosis and reconstruction of MSDM, co-creation and marketing language assistance, and the adoption of proactive behavior through coaching and market simulation. The results showed a significant socio-economic transformation, characterized by the implementation of labor division SOPs that increased production efficiency by 18%, as well as the adoption of new packaging and persuasive copywriting techniques that expanded market reach beyond the region and increased average turnover by 22% in two months. In addition, a new social institution was formed in the form of the "Prosperous Pugeran Chips Craftsmen Association" and the emergence of young local leaders as agents of the program's sustainability.

Abstract

Stunting is a process that has an impact on child development starting from an early stage, namely from conception to the 3rd or 4th year of a child's life, where the nutritional status of the mother and child is an important factor in child growth. The results of the 2013 Basic Health Research, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia reached 37.2%. Based on Nutrition Monitoring in 2016, it reached 27.5% while the WHO provides a limit for stunting of <20%. The purpose of implementing community service is to increase the knowledge of the residents of Lawe Sagu Hulu Village about Stunting Prevention efforts. After being given this information, participants are expected to understand the importance of monitoring child growth and development and meeting children's nutritional intake in the first 100 days. The counseling method used is the lecture method. This activity was carried out in Lawe Sagu Hulu Village, Lawe Bulan District, Southeast Aceh Regency.
