Abstract

The global increase in life expectancy has significantly contributed to the growth of the elderly population, including in Indonesia, which has now entered the aging population phase with more than 10% of its total population aged 60 years and above. This demographic shift presents challenges in maintaining the quality of life among the elderly, particularly in tropical border regions such as Tarakan City. Karang Anyar Pantai Village, located in West Tarakan District, has a considerable number of elderly residents supported by existing elderly health posts (posyandu lansia). Social and health interventions through elderly exercise programs, nutritional support in the form of mung bean porridge, and regular monthly health check-ups are considered strategic efforts to improve physical health, metabolic function, and psychological well-being among the elderly. This study aims to evaluate the impact of these three interventions on enhancing the quality of life of the elderly in Karang Anyar Pantai. By assessing the effectiveness of these interventions, this research seeks to provide recommendations for improving elderly care programs in similar regions.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital technologies has intensified financial misinformation and disinformation, particularly through illegal online loans and online gambling targeting communities with limited digital and financial literacy. This community engagement program in Dusun Munggur, Girimulyo Village, aimed to strengthen residents’ ability to identify and respond to deceptive digital practices through contextualized education on risk indicators, manipulative design strategies, and verification methods. Using a three-hour interactive socialization combining visuals, discussion, and a short comprehension exercise, the program improved participants’ understanding of how fraudulent financial schemes operate and how personal data, behavioral triggers, and algorithmic amplification are exploited. Participants demonstrated greater awareness of suspicious platforms, increased confidence in evaluating online offers, and requested sustained resources such as booklets and reporting guides for household- and community-level prevention. Although effective in raising immediate awareness, the intervention was limited by the lack of long-term behavioral assessment and the rapidly evolving nature of digital fraud. The program underscores the importance of community-centered, preventive literacy to mitigate digital financial risks in rural Indonesia.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology requires teachers to possess adequate digital skills and understanding to support the learning process. A website serves as an essential digital medium that can be utilized for providing information, learning materials, activity documentation, and facilitating communication among teachers, students, and the school. This study aims to develop and manage a school website as a means to enhance information technology knowledge for teachers at SMP Bina Bangsa Mandiri Cikeas, Bogor Regency. The research employed a system development approach, including needs analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of website usage by teachers. The results indicate that the developed website provides ease of access in managing school information, preparing digital learning content, and improving teachers’ digital literacy. Moreover, the website serves as a collaborative platform that supports teachers in sharing materials and teaching innovations. Therefore, developing and managing a website effectively contributes to enhancing information technology competence among junior high school teachers.

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to analyze and strengthen institutional synergy among the Special Crimes Division, the Civil and Administrative Affairs Division, and the Intelligence Division of the Palangka Raya District Prosecutor’s Office through a community-organizing framework and participatory collaboration. The initiative stems from a strategic need to optimize coordination, enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement, and foster the development of an integrated work pattern that is responsive to the complexities of contemporary legal issues. Using the participatory action research (PAR) method, the program was implemented through participatory assessments, thematic discussions, field observations, case simulations, and the strengthening of legal administration, all of which collectively contributed to substantial improvements in analytical capacity, professionalism, and cross-divisional communication patterns. The findings indicate that synergy across divisions not only enhances the technical efficiency of case handling but also generates institutional social change through the establishment of new work routines, the emergence of local leaders, and the strengthening of internal social capital. Theoretically, these outcomes reinforce perspectives from collaborative governance, organizational learning, and institutional change, which emphasize that institutional transformation can only be achieved through functional integration, knowledge exchange, and the cultivation of a collaborative institutional culture. This program recommends the institutionalization of coordination procedures, the utilization of information technology as a tool for data integration, and the implementation of continuous synergistic training to sustain the changes achieved. Consequently, this engagement contributes both empirically and conceptually to the development of an adaptive, integrated law enforcement model aimed at improving the quality of public service delivery.
