Abstract

Based on the recapitulation of Transjatim Corridor I passengers in 2023, the average load factor is 120%, with an average of 5-6 thousand passengers per day, leading to the addition of a fleet with luxury services. This study aims to analyze the financial feasibility of investment in the Transjatim Luxury Bus Corridor I by comparing income and expenditure variables using the Net Present Value (NPV), Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PP) methods. With a 6% discount rate, the analysis yielded NPV values > 0 (Rp. 5,204,972,631 for alternative 1, Rp. 2,466,479,592 for alternative 2, and Rp. 640,817,566 for alternative 3), IRR values > 6% (19.42% for alternative 1, 12.54% for alternative 2, and 7.74% for alternative 3), and BCR values > 1 (1.30 for alternative 1, 1.19 for alternative 2, and 1.11 for alternative 3). The PP values were 4 years for alternative 1, 5 years for alternative 2, and 6 years for alternative 3, indicating that all three alternatives are financially feasible. Sensitivity analysis confirmed the financial feasibility of all three alternatives, considering the effect of the discount rate on NPV.

Abstract

The solution to the transportation problem lies in assessing the performance of related road sections and intersections, and analyzing different traffic management schemes to optimize efficiency. This study aims to compare the performance of a road network simulation model for the Pahlawan road area. Data analysis includes examining origin-destination matrices, vehicle free speeds, vehicle behavior, and intersection control. The simulation model, calibrated and validated using Vissim, represents real-world conditions. Implementing SLFF (Single Lane Free Flow) and MLFF (Multi Lane Free Flow) systems at toll gates (scenarios 1 and 2) reduced queues, particularly at the Pancasila Monument Roundabout and Jalan Jati Raya. Adding a new toll gate via Jalan Kahuripan further improved traffic on Jalan Pahlawan compared to scenarios 1 and 2. However, converting the Gelora Delta roundabout into an underpass without additional measures worsened toll gate queues. Effective traffic performance can be achieved by combining the Gelora Delta roundabout underpass with either the SLFF toll payment system (scenario 5), MLFF (scenario 6), or the addition of a new toll gate (scenario 3).

Abstract

The Wheat Silo and Pellet Silo Structural Repair Project Phase III in Surabaya holds great significance in the wheat flour processing industry in Indonesia. PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk Bogasari Surabaya Division, one of the leading wheat flour producers, required structural repairs on both silos to ensure smooth plant operations and final product quality. The project necessitates proper project management to avoid delays and cost overruns, with a budget of Rp. 28,011,000,000 and an estimated duration of 455 calendar days. This study employs the Time Cost Trade-Off (TCTO) method to analyze options for accelerating the project timeline by considering additional costs that may arise. The results showed that by using TCTO, the project completion time can be accelerated to 359 days from 455 days, reducing the duration by 21.10% at an additional cost of Rp. 739,351,125.00 or 2.64% of the project value. With the addition of 1 hour of overtime per day, the cost of accelerating the project is Rp. 413,445,000.00 or 1.48% of the project value, reducing the work time to 391 days or 14.07% of the original schedule.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the individual and combined impacts of ability, attitude, appearance, attention, action, and responsibility on visitor satisfaction using quantitative methods. The study population was selected through accidental sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis with the IBM SPSS Statistics software. The findings reveal that ability, attitude, appearance, and attention have a significant partial effect on visitor satisfaction, whereas action and responsibility do not significantly impact visitor satisfaction. This is due to the action variable having a significance level of 0.550 > 0.05 and the responsibility variable having a significance level of 0.171 > 0.05. When considered together, the F test significance value of 0.001 is less than the predetermined significance level of ? = 5%, and the 73% coefficient of determination indicates the extent of influence of the independent variables on the dependent variable, with other factors affecting visitor satisfaction beyond the researcher's scope accounting for 23%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine community empowerment-based self-management construction projects and contractual-based construction projects in Sumenep District, using the AHP (Analytical Hierachy Process) method. The AHP method is used to analyze the results of the questionnaire so that the weight value of the criteria and sub criteria can be known as the basis for selecting the implementation of construction activities. Based on the results of the analysis of alternative construction implementation contractual weight is 0.501 and community empowerment is 0.499. The implementation of contractual-based construction projects is preferred with consideration of a more organized implementation, both in time (time schedule) and regulations governing it such as sanctions and fines when there are obstacles in the field being part of the responsibility for the implementation of contractual-based construction. Contractual-based construction implementation tends to be more organized and in accordance with strict schedules and regulations, including sanctions and fines if there are obstacles in the field. In contrast, self-managed construction based on community empowerment, such as in the village fund program, often has leeway in terms of a longer implementation period and supervision carried out by the community itself, not by experts. Thus, stakeholders are expected to clarify the regulations governing which works are carried out in a self-managed manner and which works are carried out contractually in government programs.

Abstract

As one of the largest cities in Indonesia, the City of Surabaya has an obligation to provide excellent health services for its residents. It goes without saying that Surabaya City Government is required to provide a General Hospital that can receive referrals from the government-owned Community Health Centers. For this reason, the Surabaya City Government built the East Surabaya Hospital which is located in Rungkut Sub-District. East Surabaya Hospital is a strategic project that requires investment feasibility analysis. The East Surabaya Hospital investment feasibility analysis was done by applying the Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP) and Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) parameters. After the feasibility analysis results were obtained, a sensitivity analysis was done on changes in management costs and the amount of health service levy rates for each Fees alternative. Based on the results of the investment feasibility analysis of 4 (four) Fees alternatives, there are 2 alternatives that can be concluded as worthy investments, which are alternative 1 and alternative 3. Meanwhile, alternative 2 and alternative 4 are not feasible since the NPV parameter shows negative values and the IRR value is lower than the MARR value. However, based on sensitivity analysis, alternatives 2 and 4 can be feasible if alternative 2’s service rate is increased by 13.2%, and alternative 4’s service rate is increased by 2.3%. The opposite applies in alternative 1 where the investment might become unfeasible if the service rate is reduced by more than 5.4% and alternative 3 might become unfeasible if the service rate is reduced by more than 2.5%.
