Abstract

Soil-Transmitted Helminths (STH), commonly known as intestinal worms, are infections caused by helminths transmitted through contaminated soil. Factors contributing to STH include poor hygiene, non-compliance with deworming treatment, inadequate sanitation, and limited knowledge about STH. In Indonesia, helminth infections remain a significant public health issue, with prevalence rates ranging from 2.5% to 62%. According to the 2021 Indonesia Nutritional Status Survey by the Ministry of Health, the proportion of toddlers suffering from helminth infections is approximately 2.8%. The World Health Organization recommends periodic treatment (deworming or preventive chemotherapy) without prior individual diagnosis for all at-risk individuals in endemic areas. This activity aims to enhance community knowledge and to treat and prevent helminth infections caused by roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and pinworms, which can impede children's growth at Posyandu Lavenda, Kenali Besar Community Health Center, Jambi City. The results indicated that all participants were highly enthusiastic and engaged during the counseling sessions, and local healthcare workers were very proactive in implementing preventive measures against helminth infections in children as early as possible.

Abstract

Many Indonesian traditions have an Islamic nuance and are usually carried out to commemorate major Islamic holidays. For example, the Sekaten celebration is held to welcome the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. During the month of Ramadan, there is also a tradition of welcoming the holy month with a slametan (known as unggahan poso), followed by another slametan to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. The Eid celebration typically lasts two to three days, beginning with the Sholat Ied (Eid prayer) on the first morning. During this time, Muslims greet each other with handshakes and formal embraces as a way of sharing joy and seeking forgiveness for past mistakes.Beyond that, the tradition of silaturahmi (visiting relatives and neighbors) is also practiced, with families serving sweet treats and giving gifts, especially to children and those in need. The presence of Indonesian traditions that embody Islamic values influences the growth of local micro-businesses. This is particularly evident during major Islamic holidays when deeply rooted traditions create a surge in demand. In Panekan Regency, this phenomenon significantly impacts the development of micro-enterprises during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Ummi method in learning Al-Qur’an at Al-Ihsan Mosque, Malang, and its role in community empowerment. The Ummi method, known for its structured and systematic approach, enhances reading accuracy and comprehension of Tajwid among the congregation. The findings reveal that the application of this method has significantly improved participants' Quranic reading skills through direct instruction, repetition, and affectionate teaching. Furthermore, Al-Ihsan Mosque has played a vital role in empowering the underprivileged through the effective management of infaq funds, scholarship programs, and basic needs assistance. However, challenges such as limited teaching space and the need for professional human resource management hinder the effectiveness of these initiatives. To optimize the impact, it is recommended to increase learning facilities, strengthen community collaborations, and establish objective assessment tools for aid distribution. Strengthening youth involvement and professional fund management will further enhance the sustainability of these programs, ensuring that community empowerment efforts are both impactful and equitable.

Abstract

This research addresses the challenge of promoting cultural heritage through digital innovation by developing a bilingual website for the Sumenep Palace Museum, the only surviving royal palace in East Java. Employing Design and Development Research methodology, the study systematically analyzed informational needs, designed an accessible platform, and implemented bilingual content in Indonesian and English. The website features comprehensive information about the museum's collections, history, and services, integrated with social media connectivity. Expert validation from IT and language specialists yielded scores of 96/100 and 80/100 respectively, while field testing with 59 participants from various nationalities produced a 90% satisfaction rate. The results demonstrate that the bilingual website effectively bridges communication gaps with international visitors, particularly during peak periods when guide availability is limited. The research contributes a practical solution to heritage preservation challenges while establishing a replicable framework for cultural institutions seeking to enhance accessibility and global reach through digital promotion strategies.

Abstract

In an era of increasingly dynamic business competition, improving employee performance is a top priority for organisations. One strategic approach that has been widely researched is Perceived Organizational Support (POS), which is the employee's perception of the extent to which the organisation values their contribution and cares about their well-being. This study aims to explore the relationship between POS, fringe benefits, work resilience, and self-efficacy in predicting employee performance. This study uses a qualitative approach through a systematic literature study of various relevant national and international scientific journals. The results show that POS has a positive effect on employee performance, and this effect is mediated by the presence of fringe benefits. Meanwhile, work resilience and self-efficacy act as moderator variables that strengthen the relationship between POS and performance. The implications of this study emphasise the importance of organisations in creating a supportive work environment, providing competitive benefits, and empowering the psychological aspects of employees to increase work productivity in a sustainable manner. The findings can serve as a basis for developing more effective and long-term orientated human resource management strategies.
