Abstract

ABSTRAK              Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share (TPS) disertai media gambar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi sel di kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 2 Kabanjahe tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasinya adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 2 Kabanjahe yang terdiri atas 6 kelas dengan 2 kelas sampel yang diambil secara purposif sampel. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas XI MIA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan  berjumlah 25 soal sesuai dengan jenis soal berpikir kritis Watson-Glaser Critical Appraisal (W-GCTA) yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti sendiri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) nilai rata-rata postes kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi yaitu 76,56 (SD = 8,08). Dibandingkan nilai rata-rata postes kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas kontrol yaitu 71,33 (SD = 8,84). (2) Analisis pengujian hipotesis hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf kepercayaan α = 0,05 menunjukkan thitung > ttabel (3,0946 > 1,9967) dan dk = n+n-2 = 70, yang berarti dalam penelitian ini H0 ditolak sedangkan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian menunjukan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share (TPS) disertai media gambar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Kata kunci : Think-Pair-Share (TPS), Media Gambar, Kemampuan berpikir kritis

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh model pembelajaran firing lineterhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa. Sampel penelitian diambil di sekolah SMA Negeri 1 Pancur Batu secaracluster random sampling, yaitu kelas XI IPA3 (30 orang) yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran firingline dan XI IPA2 (35 orang) yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dalam pelaksanaanmodel pembelajaran firing line dilakukan kegiatan pemberian jawaban terhadap soal-soal yang tersedia berupakartu soal dengan formasi yang menampilkan pasangan secara bergilir. Dari analisis data, diperoleh bahwarata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran firing line ( =71.70) lebih tinggi dari hasilbelajar siswa yang diajar dengan model konvensional ( =62,70). Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengantaraf signifikansi (α=0.05) diperoleh thitung>ttabel (3,57>1,99) yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapatdisimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran firing line berupa peningkatan hasilbelajar biologi siswa pada sub materi jaringan pada tumbuhan di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pancur Batu T.P.2016/2017.Kata kunci : Hasil Belajar, Jaringan pada Tumbuhan, model pembelajaran firing line

Abstract

Biotechnology is one of the most advanced sciences to make biotechnology the kind of science that students need to control. To give good mastery of biotechnology teachers must be able to do the right and appropriate learning in order to gain good understanding of students. One of the efforts to increase students understanding of biotechnology materials is to integrate learning materials with practical activities. This study is intended to provide a valid practical guide for grade XII SMA/MA biotechnology materials. It’s study for the practical guide development study on grade XII SMA/MA biotechnology materails done using the four-D models that consist of stage define, design, develop and dessimninate. Research is limited to the development stage of the validation. The define stage done analysis of the development of the lab guide consists of foreground, analysis of students, analysis of duty, analysis concepts and purpose analysis of learning. Desain stage conducted an exercise guide design corresponds to the students characteristic figure and the practical guide component. Stage develop conducted the practical guidance assessment by the validator. Research is done by dissemination of the stock of validity to 2 professors and 1 teachers. Research shows that the validity of the fight guide is 95% with very valid criteria. The practical guide to a highly developed for grade XII SMA/MA biotechnology material.

Abstract

                This research aims to determine how critical thinking skills and student learning outcome in biology subject (Ecosystem Chapter) and how the relationship between both of them in 1st Grade Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan Learning Year 2015/2016. The population in this study is all of 1st grade student in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan Learning Year 2015/2016 totaling 390 student. The sampel method is purposive sampling with a sample 40 student. This research is a descriptive study, with a instrument (questionnaire) totaling 31 item about critical thinking skills and 36 item about student learning outcome with data collecting tools. From the analysis of student critical thinking data are categorized enough with 61-76 range limit by 22 student (55%) and student learning outcomes are also categorized enough with (62-77) range limit by 19 students (47,5%). Base on data requirement test known that there is a siqnificant positive relationship between critical thinking with student learning outcomes, but it have low correlation shown by the correlation coefficient percentage where the contribution percentage of 0,014% for critical thinking with student learning outcomes.Keywords:  Critical Thinking, Learning Outcomes, Ecosystem

Abstract

The study aims to know the difference of learning achievement by poster displaying in the environmental topic. Type of the research was quasi experiment and was designed with pre-test and post-test. The population is the students in SMA Negeri 3 and 4 Medan academic year 2015/2016. The samples consists of two groups selected purpousively for each of school, grade X MIA 10 as poster making inclution group (n=40 students) and X MIA 7 as poster non-making inclution group (n=40 students). Learning method in both groups was goup discussion. In first group, used poster making inclution and poster non-making inclution for the second. Multiple choice test was the instrument for cognitive data collection and questionnaires were used for student performances. Hypothesis wass tested by t-test. The students learning achievement result showed that, the average score in poster making inclution group (74.92) was higher than poster non-making inclution group (67.13) with persentage difference is 38%. tcount with ttable is tcount > ttable ( 4.175 > 1.994) (with α=0.05 and df=78). Based on the data from research result used tcount > ttable then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It means there is difference of learning achievement between student who were treated with poster making inclution and those treated with non-poster making inclution model on Environmental topic of Grade X in SMA at Medan Academic Year 2015/2016. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of emotional intelligence with learning outcomes Biology X class students MIA MAN 3 Medan Year Learning 2017/2018. The population in this study is all students of class X MIA MAN 3 Medan consisting of 5 classes. Sample used 2 classes from 5 classes with total 81 students. To obtain the data of emotional intelligence used questionnaire that has been validated by a validator lecturer. While the results of biology learning taken from the value of daily student ulagan obtained from teachers of Biology study. The data obtained are searched for the mean value, standard deviation, and test the data requirements. Emotional intelligence of students has ± SD of 91.30 ± 9.26, while the student's biology learning outcome is 78.37 ± 8.73. From the results of statistical analysis known the relationship of emotional intelligence with the results of biology students have a linear regression equation and have a meaningful relationship, this we can see from the high correlation coefficient of 0.871 and the amount of emotional intelligence contribution to student biology learning results of equal 75.69%. This means that emotional intelligence has a positive relationship with learning outcomes Biology X class student MIA MAN 3 Medan Year Learning 2017/2018.Keywords: Emotional intelligence, learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana konsep diri dan kecerdasan emosional siswakelas X IPA MAN 2 Model Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2015/2016 dan bagaimana hubungan konsep diri dankecerdasan emosional terhadap prestasi belajar biologi siswa kelas X IPA MAN 2 Model Medan TahunPembelajaran 2015/2016. Populasinya seluruh siswa kelas X IPA MAN 2 Model Medan Tahun Pembelajaran2015/2016 yang berjumlah 344 orang. Sampel ditentukan dengan Purposive Sampling, dimana sampelberjumlah 43 orang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif,dengan angket (kuesioner) sebanyak 34 butir angket konsep diri sedangkan 35 butir angket kecerdasanemosional sebagai alat pengumpul data penelitian dan tiga kali nilai ulangan biologi yang didapat dari gurubidang studi biologi. Dari hasil pengolahan data konsep diri siswa dikategorikan cenderung cukup yaitu padabatasan rentangan 102–109 sebanyak 17 siswa (39,53%) dan kecerdasan emosional siswa juga dikategorikancenderung cukup dengan batasan rentangan 93–104 sebanyak 20 siswa (46,51%). Dari uji persyaratan datadiketahui bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan namun positif antara konsep diri dan kecerdasanemosional terhadap prestasi belajar biologi siswa, sekalipun ada korelasi tetapi tergolong rendah yangditunjukkan melalui persentase koefisien korelasi dimana persentase kontribusi sebesar 3,24% untuk konsepdiri, 3,61% untuk kecerdasan emosional, dan 4,41% untuk konsep diri dan kecerdasan emosional terhadapprestasi belajar biologi siswa.Kata Kunci: Konsep Diri, Kecerdasan Emosional, Prestasi Belajar Biologi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa menggunakanmodel kooperatif tipe jigsaw dengan tipe two stay two stray menggunakan media audiovisual pada materi sistemreproduksi manusia di SMA Negeri 1 Pangururan Tahun Pembelajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakanpenelitian eksperimen dimana populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA. Pengambilan sampel penelitiandilakukan secara random (random sampling). Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas jigsaw dan XI IPA4 sebagai kelas TSTS. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas TSTS yaitu 46,35 lebih tinggi dibanding kelas jigsaw yaitu37,68 sehingga diperoleh perbandingan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas TSTS:jigsaw yaitu 1,23:1. Pengujianhipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikan α=0,05 menunjukkan nilai thitung=2,36>ttabel =1,99(thitung>ttabel) maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, yang artinya ada perbandingan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yangdiajar dengan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw dengan tipe two stay two stray menggunakan media audiovisual padamateri sistem reproduksi manusia di SMA Negeri 1 Pangururan Tahun Pembelajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci: jigsaw, two stay two stray, audiovisual, hasil belajar siswa

Abstract

Research of laboratory profiles and the competence of laboratory management teachers is very important. This study aims to provide information about laboratory descriptions and teacher competencies in the management of science/biology laboratories so that they can be used as sustainable evaluation materials. The results of the research have been obtained through direct observation in the science/biology Laboratory at the state junior high school in Pekanbaru with a reference observation sheet based on the Minister of Education Regulation No. 24 of 2007 concerning the facilities and infrastructure of science laboratories. The results showed that the average percentage of science/biology laboratory equipment was 85.43% and the description of the science/biology laboratory was under the Minister of Education Regulation No. 24 of 2007 concerning science/biology laboratory facilities and infrastructure for junior high schools. Based on the results of research on the competencies of teachers of science/biology laboratory management, it can be concluded that the competence of laboratory management teachers is in the category of sufficiently competent to highly competent categories. Overall, the average competency of management teachers is 81.62% which is included in the competent category. It’s showed generally the teachers who manage the science/biology Laboratories at state junior high schools in Pekanbaru have been able to manage the laboratory well.

Abstract

This study aims to know if there were misconceptions or not in biology textbooks and the percentage ofeach category misconception of eubacteria in biology textbook for grade X senior high school based on curriculum2013 in Kisaran. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with content analysis approach. Textbooks whichanalyzed are biology textbooks for senior high school curriculum 2013 and used in Kisaran by using saturatedsampling technique. Identification of the misconception are divided into 5 categories namely undergeneralization,obsolete concept and terms, oversimplification, overgeneralization, and misidentification. The data obtaineddescriptively by calculating the frequency of each category. The results showed that misconceptions that was foundin the textbooks A and B. Misconceptions categories at the textbooks found out obsolete concept and terms,overgeneralization, and misidentification. In the textbook A was found on eubacteria.The percentage ofmisconception categories in textbook A on eubacteria was obsolote concept and terms 100%. In the textbook Bwas found on eubacteria. The percentage of misconception category in textbook B on eubacteria was obsoleteconcept and terms 33,33%, overgeneralization 33,33%, and misidentification 33,33%.Keywords: Misconception, Textbook, Eubacteria, Curriculum 2013
