Abstract

This research aims to determine differences of student learning outcomes that use Two Stay TwoStray and Jigsaw learning models for Ecosystem topic in class X SMA Negeri 11 Medan academic year2016/2017. This type of research is a Quasi Experiment. Sample of the research taken by using randomsampling. The sample consists of 2 classes that are X IPA 6 with 38 students as a Two Stay Two Stray class and XIPA 5 with 38 students too as a Jigsaw class. Instrument that used to collect data is a multiple choices testconsists of 30 questions. The result shows that the average score of student taught by Two Stay Two Straymodel is 80.34 ± 90.4 and is better than those taught by Jigsaw model (75.82 ± 8.69). In this case, t test is usedto test the hypotesis and H0 is rejected tcount > ttable (2.224 > 1.995; α = 0.05). Therefore, it can be concludedthat there are differences between student™s score in the Ecosystem topic taught by Two Stay Two Stray andJigsaw models in class X SMA Negeri 11 Medan academic year 2016/2017.Key words: Student™s Score, Two Stay Two Stray, Jigsaw

Abstract

This study aims to know if there were misconceptions or not in biology textbooks and the percentage ofeach category misconception of eubacteria in biology textbook for grade X senior high school based on curriculum2013 in Kisaran. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with content analysis approach. Textbooks whichanalyzed are biology textbooks for senior high school curriculum 2013 and used in Kisaran by using saturatedsampling technique. Identification of the misconception are divided into 5 categories namely undergeneralization,obsolete concept and terms, oversimplification, overgeneralization, and misidentification. The data obtaineddescriptively by calculating the frequency of each category. The results showed that misconceptions that was foundin the textbooks A and B. Misconceptions categories at the textbooks found out obsolete concept and terms,overgeneralization, and misidentification. In the textbook A was found on eubacteria.The percentage ofmisconception categories in textbook A on eubacteria was obsolote concept and terms 100%. In the textbook Bwas found on eubacteria. The percentage of misconception category in textbook B on eubacteria was obsoleteconcept and terms 33,33%, overgeneralization 33,33%, and misidentification 33,33%.Keywords: Misconception, Textbook, Eubacteria, Curriculum 2013

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang diajarmenggunakan model pembelajaran Make a Match dengan Word Square pada materi Sistem ReproduksiManusia di kelas XI IPA MAN 2 Model Medan T.A.2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu(quasi experiment) dengan populasi penelitian seluruh kelas XI IPA MAN 2 Model Medan terdiri dari 10 kelasdengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 422 orang. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik PurposiveSampling. Sampel terdiri dari tiga kelas yaitu kelas XI-IPA 4 yang berjumlah 43 orang sebagai kelas Make aMatch, kelas XI-IPA 5 yang berjumlah 41 orang sebagai kelas Word Square, dan kelas XI-IPA 1 yang berjumlah41 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar siswa berbentuk pilihan bergandayang berjumlah 40 soal yang sudah divalidasi terlebih dahulu. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswadigunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan uji persyaratan data diketahui bahwa data hasil penelitian berdistribusi normaldan ketiga kelas memiliki kesamaan varians (homogen). Dari analisis data diketahui bahwa nilai rata-rata siswayang diajar dengan Make a Match adalah 92,372, yang diajar dengan Word Square adalah 91,22, dan yangdiajar dengan Kontrol adalah 92. Ada perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa, ini dibuktikanmelalui uji-t pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dan dk 82 diperoleh thitung > ttabel (2,44 > 1,98) maka penelitian inimenolak H0 dan menerima Ha. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajarsiswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Make a Match dengan Word Square padamateri Sistem Reproduksi Manusia di kelas XI IPA MAN 2 Model Medan T.A.2016/2017.Kata Kunci: Make A Match, Word Square, Hasil Belajar.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the student™s learning difficulties in the material of SystemHuman's Excretion from indicator aspects and factors students learning difficulties on the System Human'sExcretion class XI MIA in SMA Negeri 16 Medan year learning 2016/2017. The research design used is descriptivequantitative. Samples was taken by Purposive Sampling which amounts 80 students. Data colletion techniquesused were test and questionnaire. The results of research showed that students were categorized as incomplete.Presentation of student learning difficulties on aspects of learning indicators that are indicators-1 of 52.81% in thecategory of very high difficulty, in indicator-2 of 55.41% in the very high difficulty category, in indicator -3 of 64% inthe category of very high difficulty, in indicator-4 of 52.25% in the category of very high difficulty, in indicator-5 of40.625% in high difficulty category, on indicator-6 of 50.41% is in the category of very high difficulty. The factorsthat cause student learning difficulties in studying the subject matter of human excretion system are health,student attention, interest, motivation, learning standard, subject matter, parent and school atmosphere,intelligence, teacher teaching method and media.Keywords: factor learning difficulties, learning Indicators, learning difficulties

Abstract

This research aims to know the difficulty of student learning on the matter of invertebrates in class X SMAfrom cognitive, learning-based indicator, and the factors causing difficulty learning the students of class X SMAfrom the Sub-district Pancur Batu learning Year 2016/2017. The design of the research that is used is thedescriptive quantitative. The population in the research is that all the students of class X SMA. Samples taken in acluster random sampling Pancur Batu namely SMA Negeri 1 Pancur Batu, SMA Anastasia Pancur Batu, and SMARakyat Pancur Batu with the number of students 171 people's Senior in High School students from the sub-districtPancur Batu. Data collection technique that is used is the test the results of student learning on the matter ofinvertebrates and questionnaires with students who have learning difficulties. The results of the study showedthat the percentage of students learning difficulties On cognitive knowledge level (C1) 25.91% percent with thecategory of difficulty is the level of understanding (C2) 29.86% with the category of medium difficulty,implementation levels (C3) 34.91% with the category of difficulty medium, analysis levels (C4) 49.79% percentwith the category of difficulty is very high, evaluation levels (C5) 60.39% with category of difficulty is very highlevel of creation (C6) 49.19% with a very high level of difficulty category. The factors that influence the difficultyof learning the most dominant is the internal factors namely pscyhiatric of 80.83% and the health of 78.61% withthe cause of the difficulties learning, while external factors namely schools of 78.46% and subjects of 65.47% withthe cause of the difficulties learning.Keywords: difficulties learning, cognitive, and invertebrates

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi sarana laboratorium biologi apakah sesuai standarPermendiknas No.24 Tahun 2007 di SMA Negeri se-Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat. Penelitian ini menggunakanmetode deskriptif yaitu menggambarkan dan menjelaskan data berdasarkan apa adanya kenyataandilapangan. Hasil analisi data pada SMA N. 1 Salak menunjukkan alat/sarana laboratorium biologi dari 39 itemyang menjadi penilaian, seluruhnya telah terpenuhi dan dimiliki sesuai dengan Permendiknas No.24 tahun2007 tentang standar sarana dan prasarana laboratorium. Persentase dari kelengkapan alat yang dimiliki SMAN 1 Salak berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh sebesar 100%. Hasil analisis data pada SMA N 1 Kerajaanmenunjukkan alat/sarana laboratorium biologi dari 39 item yang menjadi penilaian, terdapat beberapaalat/sarana praktikum yang tidak terpenuhi dan belum dimiliki sesuai dengan Permendiknas No.24 tahun 2007tentang sarana dan prasaran laboratorium. Persentase dari kelengkapan alat yang dimiliki SMA N 1 Kerajaanberdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh sebesar 94,87%. Hasil analisis data pada SMA N 1 Tinadamenunjukkan alat/sarana laboratorium biologi dari 39 item yang menjadi penilaian, terdapat beberapaalat/sarana praktikum yang tidak terpenuhi dan belum dimiliki sesuai dengan Permendiknas No.24 tahun 2007tentang sarana dan prasarana laboratorium. Persentase dari kelengkapan alat yang dimiliki SMA N 1 Tinadaberdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh sebesar 89,74%.Kata Kunci : Sarana Laboratorium Biologi

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) Untuk mengembangkan penuntun praktikum dan pedoman penilaianpraktikum biologi sistem dengan implementasi model Problem Solving Laboratory untuk meningkatkankemampuan literasi sains; 2) Mendeskripsikan proses praktikum biologi sistem dengan implementasi modelProblem Solving Laboratory untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains., 3) Mendeskripsikan peningkatanliterasi sains mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan pendekatan Penelitian danPengembangan (Research and Development), Model Dick, Carey, & Carey. Analisis data dalam penelitian iniadalah deskriptif, yaitu menjelaskan suatu permasalahan gejala, atau keadaan sebagaimana adanya data yangdiperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian a) Rerata Ranah sikap dan berpikir ilmiahpraktikum biologi sistem berbasis problem solving laboratory pada praktikum pertama dengan judul uji Glukosadengan fehling A dan B yaitu kelompok 1 sebesar 48,8%, kelompok 2 sebesar 47,6%, kelompok 3 sebesar48,4%, dan kelompok 4 sebesar 35,3%. Pada praktikum kedua dengan judul uji Yodin pada amilum yaitu yaitukelompok 1 sebesar 84,2%, kelompok 2 sebesar 83,7%, kelompok 3 sebesar 85%, dan kelompok 4 sebesar85,1% dengan rerata peningkatan sekitar 34,8%; b) Rerata ranah keterampilan proses sains praktikum biologisistem berbasis problem solving laboratory pada praktikum pertama dengan judul uji Glukosa dengan fehling Adan B yaitu kelompok 1 sebesar 65%, kelompok 2 sebesar 60%, kelompok 3 sebesar 67,5%, dan kelompok 4sebesar 70%. Pada praktikum kedua dengan judul uji Yodin pada amilum yaitu kelompok 1 sebesar 87,5%,kelompok 2 sebesar 82,5%, kelompok 3 sebesar 85%, dan kelompok 4 sebesar 90% dengan rerata peningkatansekitar 20,65%. Peningkatan literasi sains yang dipengaruhi oleh penerapan model problem solving laboratorydilihat dilihat dari 2 aspek yaitu 1) peningkatan sikap dan berpikir ilmiah sekitar 34,8% dan 2) Keterampilanproses sains dengan peningkatan sekitar 20,65%.Kata Kunci: problem solving laboratory, Literasi Sains

Abstract

This research is aimed at determining the effectiveness of the active learning strategy of The FiringLine type is varied with meaningful script on results and activity of student learning materials on humanreproductive system in class XI IPA SMA Parulian 1 Medan Academic Year 2016/2017. This type of research ispre-experiment, where the population in this study are the students of class XI IPA SMA Parulian 1 Medan with57 students. Sampling was performed by using the random sampling technique. The result show that studentmastery level classified in the category of high with a value of 80, students™ learning completeness classified inthe category of complete with a value of 89.3%, and student learning activities classified in the category ofactive with a value of 77.60. So it can be concluded that the active learning strategy of The Firing Line type isvaried with meaningful script effectively used on the material of the human reproduction system in class XI IPASMA Parulian 1 Medan Academic Year 2016/2017.Key Words : Active Learning Strategy Of The Firing Line Type, meaningful script, activity learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya belajar siswa serta hubungannya dengan hasil belajarbiologi siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 4 Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI MIA SMANegeri 4 Medan yang terbagi atas 10 kelas dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 400 orang siswa. Sedangkan, sampelpenelitian diambil secara purposive sampling yang berjumlah sebanyak 80 orang siswa. Metode penelitian yangdigunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, dengan kuesioner (angket) dan tes sebagai alat pengumpul datapenelitian. Dari hasil pengolahan data diketahui skor rata-rata gaya belajar sebesar 42,8 dan SD sebesar 3,44sedangkan, rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 79,1 dan SD sebesar 6,36. Untuk uji homogenitas Fhitung < Ftabel (0,540< 1,447) Ho diterima maka data X dan Y termasuk homogen. Dari harga koefiesien korelasi diketahui rhitung >rtabel (2,237 > 0,220) sehingga data tersebut terdapat korelasi yang berarti dan positif antara gaya belajar denganhasil belajar siswa dan perhitungan indeks determinasi sebesar 48% terhadap pencapaian hasil belajar siswa. Untukpengujian hipotesis diperoleh t hitung > t tabel (9,89 > 1,67) pada taraf   0,05 maka data termasuk Haditerima sekaligus menolak Ho, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara gaya belajar terhadaphasil belajar biologi siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 4 Medan.Kata Kunci: Gaya Belajar, Hasil Belajar, Sistem Reproduksi Manusia

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the implementation of a Tabagsel local wisdom-based biotechnology textbook on the creativity and critical thinking abilities of students at UMTS in the biotechnology course. The method employed in this research is PTK to assess the creativity and critical thinking abilities of students at UMTS. This PTK was conducted in 2 cycles, each consisting of stages: Analysis, Fact Finding, Conceptualization, Planning, Implementation, Additional Fact Finding, and Evaluation. The results of this study indicate that the highest score on the student creativity test in cycle I was 85 and the lowest was 54. The highest score on the student creativity test in cycle II was 95 and the lowest was 75. The increase in student creativity test scores was 10 points. The number of students who achieved mastery on the creativity test in cycle I was 12 students and in cycle II was 17 students, with an increase of 5 students. The conclusions of this study are: The PKK on the student creativity test in cycle I was 50% and in cycle II was 70%, with an increase of 20%; The percentage of students who achieved mastery on the critical thinking test was 80%, while those who did not achieve mastery was 20%.
