Abstract

Religious moderation serves as a fundamental principle in the context of public service in Indonesia, where religious, cultural, and ethnic diversity demands fair, inclusive, and civilized governance. This study aims to analyze the role of religious moderation in public service policy in Indonesia, particularly in bridging the relationship between bureaucratic neutrality and social harmony within a multicultural society. To date, studies on religious moderation have largely focused on education and interfaith dialogue, while the dimensions of public policy and bureaucratic culture remain underexplored. Using a qualitative approach through policy analysis and literature review, this research examines how the values of religious moderation tawasuth (balance), tasamuh (tolerance), ‘adl (justice), and musawah (equality) can be integrated into an inclusive, fair, and ethical public service system. The findings indicate that the internalization of moderation values within public policy can strengthen governmental ethics, enhance public trust, and reinforce social cohesion amid diversity. This study also proposes a conceptual model called Moderation-Based Public Service Governance (MBPSG) as a new framework for public service management grounded in the values of religious moderation, balancing administrative efficiency with social justice.

Abstract

This study aims to construct a conceptual model integrating value-based governance, value-based reputation, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the context of global Islamic banking. The research is motivated by the need to bridge Islamic ethical values with modern governance and sustainability paradigms that emphasize the balance between profitability, moral integrity, and social responsibility. Employing a systematic literature review and thematic synthesis through qualitative analysis, this study identifies, categorizes, and synthesizes key conceptual themes relevant to the research focus. The findings reveal that value-based governance serves as an ethical foundation that strengthens value-based reputation, while the latter functions as a catalyst for achieving sustainable development objectives. The synergy among these three elements produces a governance model that positions the principles of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah as a normative framework for ethical, transparent, and sustainable Islamic financial practices. The primary contribution of this research lies in the simultaneous integration of the three major frameworks—value-based governance, value-based reputation, and SDGs—which enriches theoretical discourse on Islamic financial governance and provides strategic direction for the development of policy, sharia auditing, and sustainability reporting systems oriented toward ethical values and global welfare.

Abstract

Serang Regency has 326 villages with great agricultural, industrial, and coastal potential, but still faces north-south regional disparities, 18% stunting, and low digital literacy and female participation in the economy. This study examines the effectiveness of innovative pentahelix-based collaboration as a strategy for accelerating sustainable village development in Serang Regency within the framework of the Village SDGs and the 2025-2045 RPJPD vision. The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze the forms and mechanisms of pentahelix collaboration, (2) to evaluate its impact on improving the Village Development Index and achieving Village SDGs, and (3) to formulate concrete policy recommendations for the Serang Regency Government. The benefits of this study include operational guidelines for regional policy makers, replication of the model in similar areas in Banten, and contribution to the national target of independent villages towards Indonesia Emas 2045. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative with a systematic literature review and secondary document analysis. The results show that pentahelix collaboration has succeeded in increasing the average IDM by 18.71%, reducing village poverty by 4.08%, and strengthening the circular economy. Recommendations include allocating 15% of Village Funds for digital platforms and forming a district pentahelix task force.

Abstract

Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) continues to be the predominant cause of global mortality. Polypill techniques that integrate various cardiovascular drugs into a single formulation have emerged as a potential method for primary prevention, especially in intermediate-risk populations. Objective: To systematically review and synthesize evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of polypill formulations (comprising antihypertensive medications, statins, with or without aspirin) in comparison to standard care or placebo for the primary prevention of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in intermediate-risk populations. Methods: We conducted systematic review and meta-analysis in accordance with PRISMA 2020 standards (Systematic Review Registration: PROSPERO CRD420251184718). Various databases (PubMed, Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect, Scopus) were examined for original research published from January 2015 to October 2024. Studies were eligible if they assessed polypill therapies in individuals aged 30 to 70 years with intermediate cardiovascular risk (10-20% 10-year risk), reported composite major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) outcomes, and included a minimum follow-up of 6 months. Two independent reviewers conducted screening, data extraction, and risk of bias evaluation utilizing the Cochrane RoB 2.0 tool. Results: Of the 161 records discovered, 4 randomized controlled studies (HOPE-3, TIPS-3, PolyIran, PolyPars) with 31,501 people fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Polypill therapies showed a substantial decrease in composite MACE relative to control groups (pooled HR 0.67 (95% CI 0.60-0.75, p<0.001). Individual trial hazard ratios varied from 0.50 (PolyPars) to 0.66 (PolyIran) and 0.79 (TIPS-3) with moderate heterogeneity (I²=35.2%, p=0.20). Polypills were generally well- tolerated, with a safety profile consistent with the individual components. Medication adherence was enhanced with the polypill in comparison to multiple-pill regimens. Conclusions: Polypill techniques markedly reduce major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in intermediate-risk patients for primary cardiovascular prevention, achieving around a 33% relative risk reduction. The fixed-dose combination strategy provides benefits in compliance and ease of use. These findings hold significant implications for healthcare systems in low-to- middle-income nations, such as Indonesia, where the burden of cardiovascular disease is substantial and access to long-term cardiovascular drugs is frequently hindered by cost and complexity.

Abstract

Menstrual pain or dysmenorrhea can cause disruption of daily activities in teenage girls, lessen concentration, and even affect their academic achievement. Lemon aromatherapy is a non-pharmacological method used to reduce dysmenorrhea pain by giving relaxation and analgesic effects with its active compounds, such as limonene and linalool. Based on the data from the World Health Organization (WHO), around 90% of women experience dysmenorrhea, and 10–15% of them suffer from severe dysmenorrhea that requires intervention. This study aims to determine the effect of lemon aromatherapy in reducing the level of dysmenorrhea pain among girls. This study was a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population was all seventh and eighth-grade female students of SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Tiga, Aceh Besar, who experienced dysmenorrhea. A total of 15 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. The study was conducted from May 29 to June 21, 2025. The intervention was carried out by giving lemon aromatherapy on the first to third day of menstruation, once a day intake for about 15 minutes. The pain level was assessed using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). The data were analyzed using the Paired Samples T-Test. The results showed that most respondents experienced moderate pain (93.3%) before receiving the treatment, and a small proportion experienced severe pain (6.7%). After receiving lemon aromatherapy, the pain level decreased to mild pain (46.7%) and moderate pain (53.3%). The mean pain score before intervention was 3.07 and decreased to 2.53 after intervention, with a difference of 0.54. The statistical analysis obtained a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating that there was a significant effect of lemon aromatherapy on reducing dysmenorrhea pain. Thus, based on the findings, this study recommends that teenage girls use lemon aromatherapy as an alternative independent treatment to reduce menstrual pain complaints.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of gender, family economic background, and entrepreneurship education on the entrepreneurial interest of vocational high school students in Depok. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from 123 students via structured questionnaires and analyzed through t-tests, F-tests, and multiple linear regression. The results show that all three variables positively affect entrepreneurial interest, with entrepreneurship education emerging as the strongest predictor (β = 0.641, p < 0.001), followed by family background (β = 0.239, p = 0.006) and gender (β = 0.228, p = 0.012). These findings indicate that students’ entrepreneurial intention is primarily shaped by formal entrepreneurship education, supported by family influence and gender-related differences in confidence and risk orientation. The study emphasizes the importance of practical entrepreneurship education and a supportive family environment in fostering entrepreneurial interest among vocational students, contributing to a sustainable youth entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in the level of financial literacy between women workers in the formal and informal sectors in the community in Tote Village, West Bolangitang District, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. Financial literacy is an individual's ability to manage finances which includes aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and skills in making financial decisions. This study uses a quantitative method with a comparative approach. The population in this study is all women who work in the formal and informal sectors in Tote Village, with sampling using purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument is in the form of a questionnaire that is compiled based on financial literacy indicators, then analyzed using a different test (Independent Sample T-Test). The results of the study show that there is a significant difference in the level of financial literacy between women workers in the formal sector and the informal sector. Women in the formal sector tend to have a higher level of financial literacy compared to women working in the informal sector. These findings indicate the importance of more inclusive financial education and training programs, especially for women in the informal sector, to improve financial management skills and support the welfare of families and communities in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The delivery of the first harvest by the people of Kolimasang Village to the King of Sagu in Adonara represents a symbol of agrarian relations rich in cultural and spiritual meaning. In Lamaholot tradition, the king is not only a political–traditional leader but is also regarded as a representation of cosmic power that must be respected. In this perspective, the delivery of the first harvest becomes a kind of “rite of passage” from the profane world (the field) to the sacred world (the palace). Within Lamaholot tradition, this relationship is known as the 4A: Atadiken (Human), God, Nature, and Ancestral Spirits. The findings show that the procession of delivering the first harvest has been practiced for generations since the establishment of the Adonara Kingdom. The procession is carried out for two consecutive days, Tuesday and Wednesday, during the harvest week and month, usually March or April. On Tuesday, the ritual takes place in the fields during the first harvest, the yields of which are taken to the King of Adonara in Sagu. On Wednesday, the procession takes place in Lewo Sagu Atu Matang – Tanah Kota Dolu Wewang (the palace of the Adonara king), the site of the migration of King Arkian Kamba (the first Islamic King of Adonara). Both processions are preceded by traditional ritual prayers (Bao Lolon) addressed to God, Nature, and the Ancestral Spirits (3A). The equipment involved in the procession includes the harvest yield, tuak (palm wine) in bamboo containers, coconut-shell cups, gongs and drums, spears, machetes, and traditional clothing. In the procession, the king and his kin receive the harvest in a ceremonial welcome marked by traditional rituals, during which the king wears royal attire: the lipa sarong, a jacket, and a cap. The harvested produce is not only given to members of the royal family for consumption but also distributed to the wider community (ribu ratu). A tradition that remains preserved to this day—and considered the most essential—is the distribution of the first harvest by the king and his family to widows, the poor, orphans, and abandoned children. This symbolizes love, fairness, and equitable sharing—values that continue to be upheld today.
