Abstract

Gender issues in public spaces and Muslim communities have increasingly gained attention in academic discourse due to their strong connection with social norms, cultural values, and religious interpretations that shape women's patterns of participation. This study aims to examine the influence of gender norms and values within Muslim communities on women’s engagement in public spaces, uncover the challenges they face, and formulate recommendations based on feminist and social constructionist perspectives to promote gender equality. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by tracing reputable academic databases through rigorous selection and thematic analysis. The findings reveal that Muslim women’s participation in public spaces is often hindered by patriarchal constructions, discrimination, and limited access. Nevertheless, women have developed strategies of resistance and negotiation that expand their roles. Thematic analysis identifies three main patterns: women’s representation in public spaces, gender-based social practices that impose limitations, and resistance strategies through religious reinterpretation and community activism. This article contributes to theoretical development by enriching global feminist perspectives through the lived experiences of Muslim women while also offering practical contributions in the form of inclusive and socially–religiously sensitive public policy recommendations. The implications highlight the importance of cross-cultural studies and the exploration of women’s experiences at the local community level to broaden understanding of gender equality in contemporary Muslim societies.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Pre-Marital Education Model for prospective brides and grooms at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) Padang Bolak. The purpose of the model is to enhance the readiness of couples in facing marital life and to promote the establishment of sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah families based on Islamic values. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method adapted from the Borg and Gall model, consisting of seven main stages: needs analysis, planning, product development, expert validation, revision, limited field trials, and final product refinement. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, observation, questionnaires, and interviews, then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The validation results showed high feasibility, with average expert ratings of 90% (content), 92% (design), 96% (language), and 90% (implementation). The trial results indicated that the model is valid, practical, and effective in improving participants’ understanding, communication skills, and emotional readiness for marriage. This study concludes that the developed pre-marital education model can be effectively implemented as an innovative framework for family education at KUA. It contributes to strengthening Islamic marriage preparation programs and supports the government’s efforts to reduce divorce rates through comprehensive pre-marital guidance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the attitudes and decisions of lower-class communities in adopting Islamic bank mobile banking services, with a specific focus on the BSI Mobile application. The research applies the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) developed by Davis (1989), emphasizing two key constructs—perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness—as determinants of users’ attitudes and decisions. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 100 lower-class customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Sibuhuan. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique through SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results indicate that perceived usefulness significantly affects both attitude and decision to use, while perceived ease of use influences attitude indirectly. The R² value for attitude (0.743) and decision (0.654) shows that the model has strong explanatory power. These findings reveal that lower-income customers are more motivated by perceived benefits, such as convenience, time efficiency, and transaction security, rather than interface simplicity. From a practical perspective, the study suggests that Islamic banks should strengthen digital literacy, user assistance, and customer trust to enhance mobile banking adoption among lower-class communities.

Abstract

This study examines structural and spatial gaps in Indonesia’s railway network through a comparative analysis with Japan, India, the Philippines, and Uzbekistan, aiming to formulate adaptive, efficient, and sustainable railway modernization strategies. Using a qualitative descriptive-comparative approach grounded in pragmatism, the research emphasizes the policy relevance of global best practices adapted to Indonesia’s context. Lessons from Japan and India highlight network integration, business diversification, and logistics efficiency, while the Philippines and Uzbekistan demonstrate the importance of adaptive governance, technological innovation, and institutional reform in strengthening interregional connectivity. In Indonesia, modernization should integrate the roles of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), the Directorate General of Railways, and local governments to enhance connectivity, improve logistics efficiency, and promote equitable regional development. These findings provide a conceptual and managerial reference for designing inclusive, adaptive, and equitable national public transport policies.

Abstract

A complete medical record is a crucial part of healthcare delivery, serving as a communication tool between healthcare professionals, legal evidence, and the basis for evaluating and planning hospital services. The completeness of medical record documentation, particularly in the emergency department, is an indicator of service quality that requires serious attention. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of completeness of identification, authentication, recording, and important reporting in the medical records of emergency patients diagnosed with hypertension at Wangaya Regional Hospital, Denpasar City. This study used a quantitative descriptive method. The population was all 330 medical records of emergency patients diagnosed with hypertension. A sample of 199 files was drawn using a probability sampling technique using a simple random sampling approach. The results showed that completeness of identification reached 100%, authentication reached 176 documents (88.44%), recording reached 174 documents (84.44%), and reporting reached 159 documents (79.90%). It can be concluded that identification had the highest level of completeness, while reporting had the lowest level of completeness. Researchers suggest that hospitals increase outreach and supervision of medical staff, especially in emergency installations, regarding the importance of completeness and timeliness of filling out medical record documents.

Abstract

English language learning in Islamic colleges faces challenges related to motivation, engagement, and a classroom atmosphere that tends to be monotonous. In today's digital context, Game-Based Learning (GBL) offers an innovative approach that can change these dynamics through fun and interactive game elements. This study aims to explore the subjective experiences of students at the Susha Siak Islamic College (STAI) in using Gimkit as a game-based English learning medium. The approach used is interpretive phenomenology based on Heidegger's thinking, which focuses on the meaning of participants' life experiences. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and reflective journals from seven students who actively used Gimkit in their English classes. Data analysis followed Colaizzi's (1978) steps to identify essential themes from the participants' experiences. The results of the study show three main themes: (1) fun and challenging learning, (2) a more lively and competitive classroom atmosphere, and (3) increased cohesiveness and solidarity among students. The learning experience through Gimkit brings out strong intrinsic motivation, self-confidence, and positive emotional involvement. This study concludes that GBL through Gimkit not only improves the effectiveness of English language learning, but also strengthens the values of togetherness and collaboration in the context of Islamic higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Rally Table strategy in improving students’ English writing skills at the junior high school level. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test non-equivalent control group design. The participants consisted of eighth-grade students from MTsS Al-Qosimiyah Sorek Satu, divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received writing instruction using the Rally Table strategy, a cooperative learning technique where students take turns contributing to a written task collaboratively. In contrast, the control group received conventional teaching methods. Data were collected through writing tests and analyzed using statistical methods to determine the significance of the improvement. The results indicated that students in the experimental group showed a significantly higher improvement in writing performance compared to those in the control group. These findings suggest that the Rally Table strategy can effectively enhance students’ ability to generate ideas, organize content, and use grammar and vocabulary appropriately in writing. It is recommended that English teachers integrate cooperative learning strategies such as Rally Table into their writing instruction to foster active participation and improve writing outcomes.
