Abstract

The Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach has been proven effective in helping individuals overcome various psychological issues. In the context of Islamic counseling, integrating CBT with Islamic values offers a holistic solution that addresses both psychological and spiritual aspects of clients. This approach employs cognitive restructuring and behavioral modification techniques combined with Islamic principles such as muhasabah (self-reflection), tawakkal (trust in God), and worship practices. This study demonstrates that the application of Islam-based CBT enhances counseling effectiveness, particularly for Muslim clients, as it aligns with their cultural and religious beliefs. However, the success of this approach relies on counselors proficient in both aspects. With the development of a more structured Islamic CBT counseling model and increased public awareness, this approach holds significant potential for broader implementation.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to analyze the planning, organization, implementation and evaluation in the management of student graduates at SMPN 1 Sangatta Utara, which successfully graduated all its students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data was obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation with the main informants, principals, deputy principals for curriculum, student affairs, and teachers. The validity of the data was tested through source triangulation, and analysis was carried out descriptively. The research results show that management functions are implemented effectively: 1) Planning is carried out through coordination meetings to prepare integrated programs without disturbing the main schedule. 2) Organization is carried out by the school principal giving authority to the deputy head of curriculum to appoint the person in charge of the program. 3) Implementation involves technology-based learning, increasing academic competence, and routine religious formation. (4) Evaluations are carried out periodically to measure program effectiveness and identify obstacles. This research concludes that the application of management functions supports the success of improving the quality of graduates. Recommendations are aimed at strengthening collaboration between related parties for program sustainability

Abstract

This study aims to describe scientific integration-interconnection in Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BKI) from an epistemological perspective. The method used is a literature study, which involves analyzing literature such as books, journals, and relevant research to build a theoretical foundation. The results of the study show: (1) Epistemology discusses the nature of knowledge and the relationship between truth and belief, (2) Integration-interconnection combines various fields of science, including religion and science, to produce a holistic approach, (3) The integration of science and religion, especially in the Islamic context, is important to understand human life holistically. Islamic values, such as those contained in Q.S. Al-Ahqaf (26) verse 15, can be combined with Islamic Guidance and Counseling approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and modern psychology, to effectively deal with complex problems.  In conclusion, the integration-interconnection approach in BKI provides a strong theoretical basis and practical solutions to understand and overcome problems as a whole. This study shows that this concept supports a holistic approach that combines Islamic values and modern psychology, helping to achieve life balance and individual well-being.

Abstract

Socioeconomic background can affect students' ability to access education, both in terms of transportation and the provision of learning supplies. This study aims to identify the impact of family socioeconomic background on access to education at SDN 006 Sangatta Utara. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, which involves interviews with homeroom teachers and direct observation at school. Data collected through interviews with teachers. The results of the study show that the socio-economic condition of the family does not provide a significant obstacle to students' access to education at SDN 006 Sangatta Utara. Most students have adequate transportation facilities, so no student has to walk to get to school. In addition, the majority of students' parents have better-than-average economic conditions, which allows them to meet their children's school supplies needs without any constraints. This is more due to children's behavioral factors than the family's economic limitations

Abstract

The power structure in Islamic education at MI Hajar Abyadl plays an important role in influencing teachers' involvement in educational decision-making. The focus of this research is to understand the power structure in MI Hajar Abyadl and identify power practices that are considered unfair or discriminatory. The research method used is a qualitative approach with semi-structured interview techniques. The research findings reveal that the power structure in MI Hajar Abyadl is organized in a clear hierarchy, with the school principal at the center of decision-making and teachers playing a role in implementing these policies. However, there are several discrepancies in the policy implementation that may impact educational fairness. One example is the exercise of power deemed unfair or discriminatory, such as differences in access to facilities and learning opportunities between students from wealthy and less privileged families. This can lead to inequality, hindering students' potential development. On the other hand, while there are indications of discriminatory practices, the existing policies are insufficient to address these imbalances comprehensively. As a solution, it is necessary to evaluate the current structure and policies to create a more equitable education system for all students.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of Islamic counseling in overcoming Quarter Life Crisis (QLC) and increasing the mental and spiritual resilience of individuals. The research used a qualitative approach with a literature study method, combining findings from the fields of Islamic psychology and faith-based counseling. The results showed that QLC, which is commonly experienced by individuals aged 18-29, can impair mental and spiritual well-being. Internal factors such as childhood experiences and external factors such as family support play an important role. Islamic counseling, with spiritual principles such as tawakal and ikhlas as well as dhikr practices, proved effective in providing emotional support and strengthening mental resilience in the face of life's uncertainties. This approach helps individuals manage anxiety, indecision and life stress through strengthening religious and psychological values. This research is expected to contribute to developing a holistic Islamic counseling approach, as well as providing practical guidance for counselors and individuals facing QLC

Abstract

Zakat, Infaq and Alms (ZIS) is an important instrument in Islam for the redistribution of wealth to achieve social welfare. However, its management in Medan City still faces big challenges. This research uses a qualitative approach based on literature studies to explore the ZIS collection and distribution strategy by Lazismu in Medan City. Analysis shows that strategies such as CSR programs, small-scale philanthropy, and the use of social media and digital applications have increased the effectiveness of ZIS management. The findings also highlight the role of technology in increasing the number of muzakki by up to 25% and expanding distribution reach. Main obstacles such as the lack of valid mustahik data and the digital divide require solutions based on technological innovation and collaboration between institutions. This research recommends strengthening digital infrastructure and public education to support the optimization of ZIS management by Lazismu in the city of Medan. Thus, a sustainable strategy can increase the role of ZIS in economic empowerment and community welfare.

Abstract

Adolescence is a crucial transition period in individual religious development. This research examines how physical, psychological, and social factors influence the development of teenagers’ religious spirit. The study identifies three phases of development: early (12-15 years), intermediate (15-18 years), and late (18-21 years). In each phase, teenagers experience growth in critical thinking, social emotions, and moral considerations that are significantly influenced by their environment. The results indicate that education and social context play a vital role in shaping teenagers’ religious attitudes, manifesting both positively and negatively.

Abstract

Pricing in marketing educational services is one of the important aspects that affect the competitiveness and sustainability of educational institutions. This study aims to analyze cost-based, value-based, and competition-based pricing strategies in the education sector in Indonesia. A qualitative approach with a library research method is used to identify various relevant pricing techniques and their impact on the attractiveness of educational institutions. The results of the study indicate that a combination of cost-based and value-based strategies has great potential in improving the financial sustainability of institutions while strengthening the perception of quality in the eyes of consumers. These findings provide practical implications in the form of guidelines for educational institution managers to set competitive, relevant, and market-needed prices. By implementing the right techniques, educational institutions can improve financial sustainability and attractiveness to prospective students, as well as maintain competitiveness in the competitive education market.

Abstract

Gender equality is one of the important issues in education. Gender is the apparent difference between men and women when viewed from values ​​and behavior. The approach used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach where the type of research is field research using data collection methods in the form of observation, in-depth interviews and literature studies. This study aims to examine and find out how students and teachers understand gender equality in the context of Islamic education, as well as what practices and policies exist in schools that support or hinder gender equality in Islamic education. The results of the study indicate that both teachers and students have a fairly good understanding of the importance of gender equality in education. SMPN 05 Muara Bengalon has begun implementing inclusive policies that encourage equal access and opportunities between men and women. With additional support in the form of training programs, socialization campaigns, and strengthening gender-based policies, the implementation of the principle of gender equality in this school is expected to run more effectively and sustainably.
