Abstract

The increasingly heavy burden of life experienced by almost all people, can cause health problems both physically and psychologically. Psychoreligious therapy that is programmed properly can reduce the psychological burden so that it is effective for emotional control in the elderly. Psychoreligious therapy can be performed on the elderly by training the patient to carry out activities of prayer, remembrance, reading the Qur'an or other books and performing prayer activities. The research design used was a quasi-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test design. Respondents in this study were all elderly people in RT 17, Legok Village, Jambi City, with a total sample of 20 respondents. Data collection was carried out using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the T test. The results showed that psycho-religious therapy had a significant effect on emotional control in the elderly with a p-value = 0.018 (p <0.05). The results showed that psychoreligious therapy had an effect on reducing emotional control scores in the elderly who experienced psychological stress. It is expected that the Putri Ayu Health Center in the field of mental nursing managers will plan to provide psychoreligious therapy to elderly patients on an ongoing basis and make a therapy schedule once every month.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. The most deadly infectious illness on the globe is still pulmonary tuberculosis. Southeast Asia accounts for up to 58% of all TB cases. India, Indonesia, and China have the greatest number of TB cases in the globe, accounting for 23%, 10%, and 10% of global incidence, respectively. The overall goal of this study is to examine the association between family support and the function of medication supervisors in pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Putri Ayu Health Center in Jambi City. This is a cross-sectional quantitative study. The investigation was conducted in the operating area of the Putri Ayu Health Center in Jambi City in August 2022. This study included all active tuberculosis patients at the Putri Ayu Health Center, a total of 66 individuals. The study's sample size was 60 people (after deducting 6 respondents of the initial survey). Total sampling is the sampling technique used. The analysis performed is both univariate and bivariate. The chi square test was applied, with a meaningfulness threshold of 95% (alpha = 0.05). The study revealed a link between family support (p-value: 0.021) and the role of supervisors taking medications (p-value: 0.010) and adherence to taking drugs in pulmonary TB patients at the Putri Ayu Health Center in Jambi City. It is expected that the Puskesmas Putri Ayu Jambi City would also educate families and emphasise the need of family support for active Tb patients' rehabilitation and develop a PMO optimization program to prevent drop out.

Abstract

Adolescents are individuals both women and men who are between students and adults. The limit for adolescents in this case is the age of 10-19 years according to the classification of the World Health Organization (WHO). The nutritional needs for adolescents are very large because they are still growing. Adolescents need energy/calories, protein, calcium, iron, zinc and vitamins to fulfill physical activities such as school activities and daily activities. Nutritional problems are generally caused by economic problems, lack of food, poor environmental quality. Based on the initial survey conducted on students of SMA Negeri 11 Jambi City, which was conducted by interview, there were 8 out of 11 students who did not understand the nutritional status of adolescents.the number of samples in this study were 79 respondents. To find out the size of the problem with the dependent variable and related factors, where the measurement of the variable is momentary and only once. After the data was obtained from the results of filling out the questionnaire by the respondents, it was processed using computer facilities and then analyzed into two forms of analysis, namely univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The majority of respondents with normal nutritional status, namely 25 people (41.0%) came from families with high incomes and the majority of respondents with thin nutritional status had low family income, namely 22 people (36.1%). From the bivariate analysis of the relationship between family income and nutritional status (BMI/U), a p value = 0.000 (<0.05) is obtained, which means that there is a significant relationship between family income and nutritional status based on the BMI/U index at SMA Negeri 11 Kota Jambi.

Abstract

Elderly (elderly), is a process of the final stages of a human life. One of the problems that often occurs in the elderly is hypertension. Hypertension is a condition where the elderly have blood pressure above 14/90 mmHg. One way that can be done to lower blood pressure is hypertension exercise. In Muaro Jambi Regency, based on data from the Muaro Jambi District health office, the health center with the highest number of elderly people with hypertension was the Muara Kumpeh inpatient health center with a total of 2190 cases of hypertension. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hypertension exercise on elderly blood pressure at the Muara Kumpeh Inpatient Health Center in 2021. This research is a quantitative study using the pre-experimental method with one group pre-test post-test design. This research was conducted in September 2021 – August 2022 at the Muara Kumpeh Inpatient Health Center. The total population is 2190 people with a sample of 10 people taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection was done by observing blood pressure before and after the intervention, which was carried out once a week for three weeks. Blood pressure data were analyzed using paired sample t-test with α < 0.05. The results of research conducted at the Muaro Kumpeh Inpatient Health Center found that hypertension exercise had an effect on elderly blood pressure (p-value = 0.000). Where the average systolic blood pressure decreased by 40 mmHg and the average diastolic blood pressure decreased by 20 mmHg. Suggestions that elderly hypertension exercise can be an alternative exercise that can be given to the elderly to lower blood pressure and for further research can add insight to researchers on the relationship between the level of influence of hypertension exercise on elderly blood pressure.
