Abstract

Islamic business ethics is a fundamental foundation in building customer trust, particularly in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic business ethics in fostering customer trust, focusing on MSMEs in Cirendeu, South Tangerang. This qualitative research employs a literature review methodology, with data collected from various sources such as books and scientific journals. The findings reveal that values such as honesty (ṣidq), justice (ʿadl), responsibility (amānah), and transparency play key roles in establishing harmonious relationships between business owners and customers. The implementation of Islamic business ethics not only enhances customer loyalty but also positively impacts local communities through economic empowerment and improved welfare. This study also supports Stakeholder Theory, which emphasizes the importance of meeting the expectations of all stakeholders. Hence, the application of Islamic business ethics values provides relevant and practical solutions to modern business challenges, particularly in the MSME sector. The study recommends specialized training and mentoring for MSME actors to enhance their understanding and implementation of Islamic business ethics principles, as well as further research that encompasses broader regions and business sectors, including digitalization contexts. Keywords : Islamic Business Ethics, Customer Trust, MSMEs, Honesty, Justice, Responsibility.

Abstract

Poverty remains a fundamental issue hindering sustainable development in many regions, including Aceh Province, Indonesia. Despite various poverty alleviation programs, the poverty rate in Aceh remains high, reaching 14.23% in 2024, compared to DKI Jakarta's 4.14%. This study aims to analyze poverty alleviation strategies in Aceh by integrating the models of As-Syatibi and Ibnu Khaldun, which emphasize Islamic values and structural-economic approaches. Using a qualitative descriptive method with library research, this study examines secondary data from BPS reports, academic journals, and Islamic economic development literature. The findings suggest that a holistic strategy combining As-Syatibi's Maqashid Syariah (focusing on the protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth) and Ibnu Khaldun's principles of justice, productivity, and state facilitation can effectively address poverty. Recommendations include empowering local communities through Islamic microfinance, education, skills training, and equitable resource distribution, leveraging Aceh's strong Islamic cultural identity for sustainable development. Keywords : Aceh Province, As-Syatibi , Ibnu Khaldun, Islamic economics, Poverty Alleviation

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), has driven significant transformation across various business sectors, including Sharia-based digital businesses. This study aims to comprehensively examine the potential, challenges, and opportunities of integrating AI into Sharia-compliant digital business using a qualitative, literature-based approach. The findings indicate that AI contributes significantly to enhancing operational efficiency, maintaining adherence to Sharia principles, and strengthening financial inclusion and economic distribution among the Muslim community. The application of AI has proven effective in detecting non-Sharia elements, supporting the management of halal finance, and accelerating services based on Islamic ethics. However, ethical and normative challenges must still be addressed, especially concerning algorithmic fairness, personal data protection, and the limitations of AI in understanding the complexity of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh). Therefore, collaboration among technology experts, business practitioners, and Islamic scholars is essential to ensure that the use of AI aligns with the objectives of Sharia (maqashid syariah). This study offers a conceptual contribution to the development of ethical, inclusive, and sustainable Sharia digital business models in the technological era. Keywords : Artificial Intelligence, Sharia Digital Business, Islamic Economics, Technology Ethics, Maqashid Sharia

Abstract

Monopolistic practices and unfair competition, such as cartels, market domination, and price discrimination, threaten economic justice in Indonesia, especially in the digital economy dominated by large tech platforms. Law No. 5 of 1999 aims to curb these issues, but enforcement faces challenges due to complex digital markets, lobbying by major businesses, and limited institutional resources. Islamic business law offers an ethical complement through principles like ihtikar (prohibiting hoarding to manipulate prices) and maslahah (prioritizing public interest). This study examines monopolistic practices from an Islamic perspective, analyzing alleged monopolies by Google in Indonesia (2024) and a state-owned enterprise in the energy sector. Using a normative approach with qualitative analysis, it finds that Islamic principles can enhance anti-monopoly law enforcement through moral frameworks, ethical education, and public benefit evaluations. The study recommends integrating Islamic values into public campaigns, legal enforcement, and SOE regulations to promote sustainable economic justice in Indonesia. Keywords : Monopoly, Unfair Competition, Islamic Business Law, Economic Justice, Digital Monopoly.

Abstract

This study looks at how well indonesian e-commerce transactions are handled by the Consumer Protection Law (UUPK) No. 8/1999. The study’s findings, conducted using a normative-empirical qualitative approach, show that the UUPK has not beenoptimal in addressing digital challenges such as low consumer awareness, poor understanding of the UMKM law, long dispute mechanisms (45 days), and misalignment of regulations with technological advancements. Trends in complaints related to fraud, late delivery, and product non-conformity are confirmed by BPKN data (2017-2024). The comparative study with the EU ODR for 15 days suggestedupdates to the UUPK, legal education, a digital dispute system, and proportional sanctions. These steps should help to increase consumer safety and encourage the steady expansion of the digital economy. Keywords: E-commerce, UUPK, Consumer protection, dispute resolution, UMKM

Abstract

Although the establishment of a Commanditaire Vennootschap (CV) is officially regulated and facilitated through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system, many micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Jakarta continue to face obstacles. These challenges include limited understanding of legal procedures, high notary fees, and bureaucratic inefficiencies. Despite these issues, registering a CV offers clear benefits such as improved access to funding, legal clarity, and separation between personal and business assets, which contributes to business resilience. This study adopts a qualitative empirical legal approach using descriptive-analytical methods. Data were collected through reviews of legal documents, academic sources, and interviews with MSME owners and legal officials. The research aims to analyze the legal framework, practical challenges, and advantages of CV registration as a form of legal protection for MSMEs in Jakarta. The study concludes that effective legal protection requires more than just clear regulations—it also depends on supportive policies, legal education, and hands-on assistance from local authorities. Keywords : Business legality, Legal protection, Micro enterprises, OSS system, Partnership

Abstract

With the advent of new technologies and the proliferation of online marketplaces, competition in the corporate sector has heated up in recent years. The sports shoe industry is one of the fastest-growing industries in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between Specs shoe purchases and variables including product quality, pricing, and brand image among students at ITB Ahmad Dahlan Jakarta. In this research, we used quantitative associative methods to examine the following variables: product quality (X1), price (X2), brand image (X3), and choice to buy (Y). One hundred participants were chosen for the research using a purposive sampling method, which entails selecting samples according to predetermined criteria. The data was collected via an online questionnaire. The technology used to analyse the data was Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using SmartPLS 4.0. Product quality, pricing, and the choice to buy all have a positive correlation, according to this research. Additionally, it was shown that consumers' perceptions of brands had a substantial impact on their purchase choices. Product quality, pricing, and brand image are all examples of exogenous variables that, when combined, may influence consumers' final purchase choices. Keywords: brand image, price, purchase decision, product quality, specs shoes

Abstract

The Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) plays a crucial role in ensuring that Islamic banks operate in accordance with Sharia principles. The main functions of DPS include issuing fatwas, approving products, and supervising the implementation of Islamic banking products to ensure they are free from elements of riba, gharar, and maysir. DPS also ensures that every product launched by an Islamic bank complies with Islamic law and does not harm customers or other parties. Although the role of DPS is essential, challenges in Sharia supervision include limited resources, the influence of globalization, and the uneven understanding of Sharia principles among bank management. Best practices in Sharia supervision involve close collaboration between DPS, bank management, and the implementation of adequate information technology to enhance the effectiveness of supervision. Several successful Islamic banks, such as Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited and Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, have demonstrated that the synergy between DPS and management, along with the adoption of technology, can improve the quality of supervision and the development of Sharia-compliant products. Therefore, it is recommended that DPS continue to enhance its capacity, strengthen collaboration with management, adopt information technology to support more effective supervision, and adapt to globalization and international regulations. Keywords : Sharia Supervisory Board, Islamic banking, Sharia compliance, supervision, information technology
