Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing microlearning videos in enhancing students' understanding of network infrastructure administration at SMK Muhammadiyah Parepare. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a pretest-posttest design. The research population consisted of 12th-grade TKJ students in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample in this study involved 19 students. Data were collected using test instruments, student response questionnaires, student activity observation sheets, and lesson plan implementation observation sheets. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques. The results showed that the average pretest score before using microlearning videos was 29.30, which increased to 74.74 in the posttest. The average normalized gain score was 0.65, indicating a moderate category (0.3 ≤ g < 0.7). Furthermore, 84.21 of students scored above the minimum passing grade (KKM). The students' activeness during the learning process using microlearning    videos reached 86.09, categorized as very active based on observer assessments. Additionally, 77.19 of students gave a positive response to the use of microlearning videos, 4.39 responded negatively, and 18.42 were neutral. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of microlearning videos effectively improves students' understanding of the network infrastructure administration subject in the 12th-grade TKJ class at SMK Muhammadiyah Parepare.

Abstract

In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, the use of technology has become increasingly widespread and impacted various aspects of life, including education. One such technology that is increasingly developing is artificial intelligence (AI). This study focuses on students' perceptions of measuring Makassar students' literacy skills in using AI-based applications. This study includes an evaluation of students' literacy skills in the context of using artificial intelligence (AI)-based applications. By using questionnaires or assessment instruments, this study will measure the extent to which students understand and are able to apply their knowledge related to AI technology. This study uses a quantitative methodology, namely distributing questionnaires or surveys to determine the level of validity. This study produces data from surveys conducted to a number of respondents. The assessment was carried out to determine how deep the literacy skills and understanding of Makassar students are in using AI-based applications. Based on the results of this study, students in Makassar responded positively to the use of AI Literacy. They assessed AI Literacy as effective in supporting learning and work, providing useful solutions, and understanding user needs. The responsiveness of AI Literacy was highly rated, with students considering it effective and easy to use. This positive impact on students included an improved learning experience.

Abstract

Education is undergoing significant transformations as technology advances, particularly in the context of increasingly common online learning, fueled by the COVID-19 pandemic and the industrial revolution 4.0. This article investigates the relationship between educational technology literacy and junior high school students' anxiety during online learning. Respondents from SMPN 1 Kahu, a total of 66 students, completed a questionnaire assessing their technology use proficiency and anxiety levels. The results showed that students' technological literacy tended to be good (mean 3.4-4.2), with relatively low anxiety levels (mean 2.6-3.3). The correlation between technological literacy and anxiety varied; some students felt a positive influence, while others believed that technological literacy could reduce anxiety. The research method used a quantitative approach with survey method and random sampling technique. The findings provide insights into students' readiness for online learning and its implications for anxiety. This study strengthens the results of previous research, confirming that technological literacy can influence students' perception of anxiety during online learning.

Abstract

Gamification is one of the learning strategies in education that can increase students’ interest and motivation in the learning process. The application of gamification is implemented in the E-learning model. In general, students do not enjoy repetitive tasks over long periods of time, yet they are willing to spend a considerable amount of time playing games. This study aims to understand the psychology of students regarding the implementation of gamification across all Engineering Departments at Universitas Negeri Makassar. This descriptive research model was conducted to examine students’ responses after its implementation. Students from Universitas Negeri Makassar in all Engineering Departments participated using a Google Form questionnaire with 15 statements as the data collection method. Data were obtained through a Likert Scale and analyzed using qualitative descriptive statistics. This analysis was intended to describe the characteristics of each variable. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of gamification in E-learning can enhance students’ active learning performance and has a significant impact on the psychology of each student.

Abstract

-learning has emerged as a crucial strategy to provide broad and easy access to high-quality education. In Indonesia, the concept of e-learning is commonly implemented in higher education institutions, including Universitas Negeri Makassar, to support student learning activities. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing students’ satisfaction with the use of e-learning by adopting the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. The UTAUT model is adopted in this study because it provides measurement tools that are useful for policymakers to assess the potential success of new technology adoption. A quantitative research approach using a survey method was employed to identify the factors affecting user satisfaction and behavioral intention to use e-learning. The results indicate that students’ perceptions at Universitas Negeri Makassar toward e-learning usage align with the UTAUT model, which is reflected in their experiences using the e-learning system

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the family environment on the self-efficacy and entrepreneurial spirit of students at SMK Telkom Makassar. The research is motivated by the low entrepreneurial participation rate among vocational graduates in Indonesia, which indicates the need to identify external and psychological factors influencing entrepreneurial readiness. A quantitative ex post facto design was employed involving 96 students of the Computer and Network Engineering program. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analysed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression after meeting the classical assumption criteria. The results show that the family environment has a positive and significant effect on students’ self-efficacy (b = 0.490, Sig. = 0.000) and entrepreneurial spirit (b = 0.696, Sig. = 0.000). These findings indicate that parental support, modelling, and exposure to entrepreneurial activities strengthen students’ psychological readiness to engage in entrepreneurial activities. The study concludes that the family environment serves as a key external factor shaping vocational students' entrepreneurial character and self-confidence. Further research is recommended to include additional variables and broader school contexts.
