Jurnal Pendidikan Nusantara merupakan wadah ilmiah yang memfokuskan diri pada publikasi naskah di bidang Ilmu Pendidikan dan Humaniora, termasuk Pendidikan Agama Islam. Pertama kali terbit pada bulan Februari 2016, jurnal ini telah mencapai 24 edisi hingga saat ini. Ruang lingkupnya meliputi hasil penelitian maupun kajian analitis-kritis tentang isu-isu pendidikan dan sosial kemasyarakatan dengan tujuan menjadi sarana kredibel bagi akademisi serta peneliti untuk membagikan karya, studi, makalah, dan berbagai bentuk penelitian lainnya. Melalui publikasi tersebut, Jurnal Pendidikan Nusantara berupaya meraih reputasi nasional dan turut mempromosikan kemajuan, pemahaman, serta pengembangan, pendidikan, dan Humaniora. Dalam pengelolaannya, Jurnal Pendidikan Nusantara menerapkan proses seleksi naskah melalui mitra bestari (reviewer) dan editor guna menjamin mutu setiap artikel yang diterbitkan. Informasi lengkap mengenai pedoman penulisan dan proses pemuatan artikel dapat diakses melalui situs resmi di https://journal.sepercenter.org. Jurnal ini diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Sepercenter yang berlokasi di Kota Banda Aceh, Indonesia, dengan format terbitan cetak dan daring (online) yang dapat diunduh secara bebas.Untuk meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan kontribusi ilmu pengetahuan, Jurnal Pendidikan Nusantara hadir secara berkala sebanyak tiga kali dalam satu tahun. Dengan demikian, peneliti dan akademisi di berbagai bidang studi diharapkan dapat memanfaatkan jurnal ini sebagai media publikasi dan diskusi ilmiah. Abstract

Religious moderation is an important approach in facing the challenges of Indonesia's multicultural society. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as a core subject in schools has a strategic role in instilling moderate attitudes from an early age. This study aims to analyse how the concept of religious moderation can be integrated into the development of PAI materials so that learning is more contextual, inclusive, and relevant to students' lives. The research method used is library research by reviewing relevant literature, regulations, and curricula. The results of the study show that the integration of religious moderation in PAI can be done through three main aspects: (1) selection of materials that promote the values of tolerance, justice, and balance; (2) application of dialogical and participatory learning methods; and (3) strengthening of character-based evaluation. Thus, the development of PAI materials based on religious moderation is expected to shape a generation of Muslims who are broad-minded, respect differences, and contribute to the creation of social harmony.

Abstract

Psikologi pendidikan (educational psychology) adalah studi mengenai tingkah laku manusia dalam kegiatan belajar dan pembelajaran, dan penerapan konsep dan teoriteori psikologi dalam kegiatan belajar/pendidikan. Tujuan penulisan jurnal ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengetahui bahwa pendidikan psikologi adalah cabang psikologi yang bertujuan untuk mempelajari karakteristik perilaku dan perkembangan individu di bidang pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kepustakaan yang berisi teori-teori yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan yang dibahas. Hasil penelitian Pendidikan psikologi digunakan untuk memahami siswa sebagai siswa dan guru sebagai guru. Psikologi pendidikan penting dalam bidang pendidikan, karena dengan bantuan psikologi pendidikan aktivis pendidikan dapat menentukan sikap terhadap perilaku masyarakat di bidang pendidikan. Psikologi pendidikan juga dipertimbangkan ketika merencanakan pendidikan, melaksanakan pendidikan dan menentukan tujuan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, setiap guru atau pelatih harus mencari teori belajar yang sesuai dengan sifat masing-masing siswa. Abstract

This study aims to minimize gadget addiction in eleventh-grade students through the implementation of a classical guidance service program at Pamekasan 2 State Senior High School. Classical guidance services are a program that provides information and orientation that is beneficial for students face-to-face and scheduled between the guidance and counseling (BK) teacher and all students in the class. Students are provided with classical guidance services by the BK teacher with the hope that they can understand the negative impacts of gadgets, so that students can better manage their time and be wiser in using gadgets properly. The subjects of the study were eleventh-grade students of Pamekasan 2 State Senior High School. The research method used was a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, instruments, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that gadget addiction in students can disrupt learning concentration, reduce social interaction, and trigger unproductive behavior. Through interactive and structured classical guidance services, students begin to understand the negative impacts of excessive gadget use and demonstrate behavioral changes by reducing the frequency of gadget use outside of learning needs. This service also encourages students to use gadgets wisely and prioritize academic and social activities. The results of the study showed that by using classical guidance services, the negative impact of gadgets on teaching and learning activities was reduced. In conclusion, the classical guidance program is effective in reducing gadget addiction.

Abstract

Problems in family education include several major challenges, such as parents' lack of understanding of Islamic values and how to teach them to their children, the influence of modern environments and cultures that often conflict with Islamic values, such as individualism and materialism, and ineffective educational methods, where parents tend to focus on ritual aspects without understanding the essence of Islamic values. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the integration of Islamic values in family education and strategies for building a generation with noble character. This study uses library research. The data sources used in this study are books, scientific journal articles, and research reports relevant to the research topic. The results of the study show that: 1). The concepts and principles of Islamic values that can be effectively integrated into family education to shape a generation with noble character are that the values of monotheism, noble character (such as honesty and compassion), and social values (such as justice and mutual assistance) are the main concepts that must be integrated into family education. The principle of compassion-based education is also important to create a supportive environment. 2). Strategies to support the integration of Islamic values in family education in building a generation with noble character are that effective strategies include early worship habits, parental role models, the use of Islamic stories, and open dialogue between parents and children. 3). The challenges and obstacles families face in integrating Islamic values into their children's education are that the main challenges include parents' lack of understanding of Islamic values, the influence of the modern environment, parents' busy schedules, and ineffective educational methods

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the scientific method in Social Studies (IPS) learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Elementary Schools) to enhance students’ critical thinking abilities. Social Studies plays a crucial role in deepening students’ understanding of social, cultural, economic, and environmental aspects while fostering empathy and a sense of responsibility. However, the continued use of traditional, teacher-centered methods has limited the optimal development of students’ critical thinking skills.Through a literature review of five scholarly articles, this study reveals that the application of the scientific approach comprising the stages of observing, questioning, reasoning, experimenting, and communicating positively influences students’ active participation, conceptual understanding, and analytical thinking abilities. Nevertheless, questioning and verbal communication skills still require improvement through sustained teacher guidance. Overall, the scientific method has proven effective in creating dynamic and contextual Social Studies learning that emphasizes the development of students’ critical thinking and higher-order thinking skills essential for the 21st century.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of spirituality in educational competency development management as a holistic approach that can strengthen the quality of educators in the modern era. Spirituality is understood as transcendental values—such as sincerity, empathy, integrity, and self-awareness that can form the foundation for shaping the professional behavior of educators. Through literature study and conceptual analysis of various scientific sources, this study examines the role of spirituality in improving pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. The results show that spirituality contributes significantly to improving intrinsic motivation, reflective abilities, emotional resilience, and the quality of educators' interpersonal relationships. This study also proposes a spirituality-based competency development model that includes four stages: internalization of values, self-reflection, transformation of learning practices, and integration into educational policy. This model is considered effective in creating educators who are not only technically competent but also possess moral maturity and strong character. Abstract

Physical fitness is an essential and fundamental indicator of quality of life in supporting student learning achievement (Kuncoro Darumoyo et al., 2025). This quantitative descriptive study aims to examine the physical fitness levels of 50 students in grades 4, 5, and 6 at UPTD SD Negeri 16 Juli, Juli District, Bireuen Regency, using the Nusantara Student Fitness Test (TKPN) instrument. TKPN, launched by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2022, is designed to measure students' physical ability to carry out daily activities without experiencing excessive fatigue (Sutoro et al., 2024; Rusdiana et al., 2022). Data analysis results show that the majority of students have a nutritional status in the Good Nutrition category, but their overall physical fitness level is in the Fair category, similar to the findings in students at SDN 1 Rejomulyo (Fajaryanto et al., 2022). The Cardiovascular Endurance Component (PACER), which has a weight of 85%, is the main limiting factor (Oktavia Dewi et al., 2024). It is concluded that a structured and systematic physical activity improvement program is needed in schools to optimize student fitness (Sutoro et al., 2024; Kuncoro Darumoyo et al., 2025).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the importance of integrating spiritual values into teacher competency development management in the modern education era. Until now, the focus of teacher competency development has been more directed at improving pedagogical, professional, social, and technical personality skills, while the spiritual dimension as a moral and ethical foundation is often neglected. Through a qualitative approach using a literature study method, this study examines various relevant literature related to the relationship between spirituality, educational management, and teacher professional competency. The results of the analysis show that spirituality plays an important role in shaping teachers' self-awareness, intrinsic motivation, and ethical commitment to their profession. The integration of spirituality in competency development management can be done through the formulation of value-based vision and mission, reflective activities and character training, as well as evaluations that emphasize moral aspects and behavioral transformation. Thus, spirituality is not merely an addition, but an essential element that guides the holistic development process of teachers. The implementation of spirituality integration is expected to produce teachers who are professional, have integrity, and possess transcendental awareness in carrying out their duties as educators and shapers of the nation's character.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of implementing the Snowball Throwing learning model in improving the learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of students at Abulyatama High School in Aceh Besar. This study was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, which consisted of two cycles, each covering the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 30 students in grade XI. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, learning activity observation sheets, and critical thinking skills assessment rubrics. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II, along with an improvement in their ability to analyse information, provide logical reasons, and draw conclusions based on evidence. The Snowball Throwing model proved to be capable of creating a more active, interactive, and collaborative learning atmosphere, thereby encouraging students to be directly involved in the learning process. Thus, the application of this model is highly recommended as an effective learning strategy to improve the quality of the learning process and outcomes of students. The purpose of this study was to analyse the application of the Snowball Throwing learning model in improving the learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of students at Abulyatama High School in Aceh Besar. This model proved to be effective in increasing student participation, training questioning skills, and encouraging students to think analytically and evaluatively about the material being studied.

Abstract

Waste management in Indonesia is becoming more complicated and is now a serious problem that affects the environment and public health. A lack of awareness and knowledge about proper waste management makes waste a source of loss. This study aims to improve the awareness and skills of elementary school students at SDN 4 Dawuhan Sengon in managing waste through education on the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). A qualitative method using direct observation and surveys was used to explore students' understanding and behavior regarding waste management. The education sessions involved explaining the principles of 3R and practicing waste sorting based on color and type of bottles, as well as working with waste collectors to ensure waste can be recycled and provides economic benefits. The results showed active student participation in the sorting process and an increase in environmental awareness. This approach is hoped to become an effective model for addressing local waste problems through education and community-based management.
