Adapun scope dan focus pada jurnal ini adalah 1. Al Quran dan Hadis Sebagai sumber utama ajaran Islam, Al Quran dan Hadis menjadi fondasi dalam proses pendidikan untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai tauhid, ibadah, dan akhlak mulia. 2. Pendidikan Karakter Akhlak, Moral, dan Etika Pendidikan Agama Islam menitikberatkan pembentukan karakter yang berbudi pekerti luhur berdasarkan nilai-nilai Islam seperti kejujuran, kesabaran, dan kasih sayang. 3. Kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam Mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai spiritual dan sosial dalam sistem pendidikan mulai dari pendidikan dasar, menengah hingga perguruan tinggi. Kurikulum ini juga mengakomodasi jalur pendidikan formal maupun non-formal, termasuk pesantren dan madrasah. 4. Model, Strategi, dan Metode Pembelajaran Berbagai pendekatan diterapkan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran, mulai dari metode ceramah, diskusi, praktik ibadah, hingga pemanfaatan media digital untuk pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. 5. Evaluasi Pembelajaran Proses evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa dalam aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik, serta menilai sejauh mana nilai-nilai Islam terinternalisasi dalam kehidupan mereka. 6. Sejarah Pendidikan Islam Memahami perjalanan sejarah pendidikan Islam memberikan wawasan tentang perkembangan institusi pendidikan Islam, tradisi keilmuan, dan peran ulama dalam membangun peradaban Islam. 7. Manajemen Pendidikan Islam Mengelola institusi pendidikan berbasis Islam dengan prinsip-prinsip tata kelola yang profesional, efektif, dan sesuai syariat Islam. 8. Filsafat Pendidikan Islam Mengkaji prinsip-prinsip dasar yang menjadi landasan pemikiran dalam proses pendidikan Islam untuk memahami hakikat manusia dan tujuan pendidikan dalam Islam. Lintas Jenjang dan Jalur Pendidikan Pendidikan Agama Islam mencakup seluruh jenjang pendidikan, mulai dari pendidikan dasar SD dan MI, menengah SMP dan MTs, SMA, SMK, MA, hingga perguruan tinggi. Jalur pendidikan formal, non-formal, pesantren, dan madrasah juga menjadi bagian integral dari sistem pendidikan yang terus berkembang sesuai dengan kebutuhan zaman.

Abstract

The lack of interactivity in learning Al-Qur’an and Hadith, especially in online lecture settings, remains a significant challenge amid the wave of educational digitalization. This issue becomes more pressing when students are not only learners but also active educators, whether in formal institutions or through online private tutoring. This study aims to describe the implementation of an interactive learning method based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) through webinar platforms in Qur’an and Hadith courses. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. The sample was purposively selected, consisting of students from Class A of the 4th semester in the Islamic Education (PAI) Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Islam As-Syafi’iyah. This class was chosen due to its majority of students already being engaged in teaching, both directly and through online tutoring, making them suitable to assess the effectiveness of AI-based interactive learning from both learner and educator perspectives. Data were collected through participatory observation during the webinar sessions and reflective essays submitted by participants. The analysis involved data reduction, categorization, descriptive presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the integration of AI promotes active participation, enhances digital engagement in religious learning, and provides a learning experience that aligns with contemporary teaching practices. This research highlights the importance of AI literacy among Islamic educators and the development of interactive media grounded in current technological advancements.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of teacher competence on student learning outcomes at Bina Pangudi Luhur Senior High School. The teacher competence studied covers four main aspects: pedagogical, professional, personality, and social competence. The approach used was quantitative with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to grade 10 students as respondents. Learning outcomes were measured based on report card scores from the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression to test the extent of teacher competence's influence on student learning outcomes. The results showed a positive and significant effect between teacher competence and learning outcomes. The higher the level of teacher competence, the better the achievement of student learning outcomes. This finding emphasizes the importance of improving teacher competence as a strategy in efforts to improve the quality of education at the high school level.

Abstract

This study addresses the urgency of Religious Moderation in multicultural Indonesia amidst rising cases of intolerance. The core problem lies in how to apply Socio-Historical Exegesis to re-contextualize the Quranic verses on tolerance, thereby establishing a solid theological foundation for the Religious Moderation program. The study aims to formulate an accountable and Qur'an-based theological concept of Religious Moderation. The method employs qualitative research using the Tafsir Maudhu’i (Thematic Exegesis) approach combined with Socio-Historical analysis, specifically utilizing Fazlur Rahman’s Double Movement framework on key verses (e.g., Q.S. Al-Kafirun: 6, Al-Baqarah: 256, and Mumtahanah: 8-9. The findings indicate that contextual interpretation successfully distinguishes the universal ethical message (social tolerance) from the specific historical context (theological boundary). Conclusion: Religious Moderation is not merely a political policy but an embodiment of the Quran’s essential teachings that uphold the freedom of belief and universal justice. Socio-Historical Exegesis proves capable of providing a comprehensive theological argument to counter extremist narratives.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of morality or ethics of nation and state in Islam and its implementation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in higher education. The concept of morality of nation and state in Islam is based on the basic values ​​of Islamic teachings such as justice (al-‘adl), trustworthiness, deliberation (shūrā), equality, tolerance, and social responsibility oriented towards the welfare of the people and the integrity of the state. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach and descriptive-analytical analysis of primary and secondary sources in the form of the Qur'an, hadith, fiqh siyasah literature, as well as curriculum documents and PAI learning practices in higher education. The results of the study indicate that PAI learning in higher education has a strategic role in transforming Islamic moral values ​​into the context of national and state life through strengthening material on religious moderation, integration of national values, and the use of dialogical and reflective learning methods.

Abstract

Education in this modern era is not enough if it only emphasizes mastery of various scientific and technological disciplines. The formation of student character is actually much more important so that students are able to face various challenges in global life with noble moral values ​​and strong character. Basically, a teacher has a strategic role in forming strong morals and character through role models, habits, and fostering positive values ​​in the school environment. This study aims to describe the role of teachers in the formation of student character in modern schools oriented towards technology and creativity. The method used is descriptive qualitative through literature studies and observations at Muhammadiyyah 2 Senior High School Jakarta, Jl. Garuda no. 33, Central Jakarta. The results show that a teacher is a central figure in instilling the values ​​of responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and integrity. However, challenges arise from the influence of digital media and shifts in social values ​​among students. Strengthening teachers' social-emotional competencies, collaboration with parents, and integration of character education into the curriculum are needed so that the formation of student character can take place effectively and sustainably both in school and outside of school
