Abstract

The Qur'an is both light and illumination for all humanity. It acts as a “hudan,” which becomes a lamp in the darkness of a world without knowledge. The Qur'an is the source of all knowledge, including education, as has been exemplified directly by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Therefore, Islamic Religious Education directly has a clear principle in its concept and practice, namely the Qur'an. Sahabat Qur'an Early Childhood Tahfidz School comes with a unique tahfidzil Qur'an program using the At Tibyan method, especially using Arabic language media in its delivery. This research seeks to explain how Islamic Religious Education is provided at TAUD SAQU Jember along with the learning model used. This study uses qualitative research methods. The results of this study show the ability of TAUD SAQU Jember to integrate Tahfidz learning with the core of Islamic Education while maintaining PAIKEM. The learning model used is contextual learning (Contextual Teaching and Learning / CTL), which is adapted to the needs and conditions of students in the Jember area. TAUD SAQU's focus on tahfidz with At Tibyan and Tahajji methods formulates the realization of Islamic Religious Education well. The implementation of At Tibyan is carried out in the form of formal and non-formal learning by integrating teaching methods tailored to the situation and conditions of TAUD SAQU and its main objectives.

The development of technology, especially artificial intelligence and machine translation, has significantly impacted the translation process and the world of education. On the one hand, technology offers opportunities to improve the efficiency, speed, and accessibility of translation. However, on the other hand, technology also presents challenges, such as accuracy, linguistic nuances, and the role of human translators. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with literature review data collection techniques and content analysis to analyze how technology can be used to overcome these challenges and maximize existing opportunities so that it can produce quality and meaningful Arabic-Indonesian translations. The study results show that technology's role in Arabic-Indonesian translation provides opportunities and challenges. From the results of the study, it was found that the opportunities from AI-based translation, Google Translate, GPT chat, Online Dictionary, and so on can help someone who wants to learn a language with a very flexible, practical, and effective translation machine providing services for users, namely making it easier for someone to find the meaning of a vocabulary, sentence or Arabic text. Then, the existence of the translation machine also provides effectiveness and efficiency of time in translating a text or book, so that translating a text or book is completed faster in a short time. In addition to having opportunities or advantages in using technology translation machines. The role of technology translation also provides challenges or weaknesses in using translation machines. The weakness is the inaccuracy of the meaning produced by the translation machine. The meaning produced by the translation machine is sometimes confusing, inappropriate, and inaccurate. From the study results, researchers also showed that the comparison between the use of the Google Translate translation machine and the GPT chat translation machine, which is more effective and has 70% accuracy, is GPT chat.

Abstract

This article analyzes how psychological approaches and counseling guidelines can integrate Islamic da'wah with communication science. In its broad sense, Islamic communication refers to the dissemination of Islamic teachings through various communication media. The teachings are logical and persuasive and aim to encourage individuals to discover and develop their qualities and potential. Da'wah has a vital responsibility to overcome humanitarian problems. One relevant da'wah method is counseling and giving advice. Both approaches are the primary references in implementing effective da'wah in this context. For da'wah to be able to answer the various challenges faced by society, the function of da'wah needs to be expanded through a structured approach and counseling based on Islamic values. This study uses a literature study methodology by utilizing various scientific references in communication. The contribution of Muslim experts who have published books and journals related to Islamic communication is an essential foundation in this study. The study results show that integrating Islamic da'wah with modern communication can strengthen the effectiveness of da'wah messages in solving human problems more comprehensively.

Abstract

Education is a crucial factor in individual development and national progress, especially in character and moral formation. The subject of akidah akhlak in Madrasah Tsanawiyah plays a significant role in shaping students' personalities. However, in practice, there are often issues with ineffective teaching methods, such as the dominance of lecture-based instruction, which leads to passive student participation. This impacts students' academic performance. This study aims to analyze the application of the true or false teaching strategy in the akidah akhlak subject to improve students' academic achievement in class VII at MTs Al Muhajirin Bandar Lampung. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, which consists of two cycles. Each cycle involves planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study indicate that the application of the true or false strategy can increase student engagement in learning and improve academic performance. In the first cycle, although there was improvement, the average score did not meet the expected completion criteria. However, in the second cycle, a significant improvement was observed, with the average score reaching 80 and the learning completeness reaching 82.14%. This shows that the true or false teaching strategy has the potential to enhance students' understanding of akidah akhlak and boost their academic performance.

Abstract

This study provides a more detailed picture of the role of fathers in educating children from the perspective of the Qur'an, Surah Luqman (31), verses 12–19. So far, there has been a perception in Indonesian society that the problem of children's education is the sole responsibility of a mother because the father has the responsibility to fulfill economic needs. The social phenomena that occur in several regions in Indonesia related to the gap in children's behavior are examined through the interpretation of al-Qurthubi, the interpretation of Ibn Kathir, the understanding of Fi Zhilalil Qur'an, and the interpretation of al-Munir. Method: This study used qualitative research. Qualitative research is used to investigate, find, describe, and explain the quality or characteristics of social influences that cannot be explained, measured, or described. This research takes a study of tafsir literacy from four mufasir, namely tafsir al-Qurthubi, tafsir Ibnu Katsir, tafsir Fi Zhilalil Qur'an and tafsir al-Munir Finding: The importance of the father's role in children's education, told with advice to (1) Be grateful to Allah Subhânahu wa ta'âlâ, (2) Avoid all forms of shirk, (3) Be devoted to both parents, and (4) Always maintain awareness of muraqabah or Allah Subhânahu wa ta'âlâ's supervision over all things, both small and large. (5) The command to uphold prayer, enjoin makruf, nahi munkar. (6) The command not to be arrogant and haughty; (7) walk politely and lower your tone of voice. Novelty: This study is the only one that explains the role of fathers in children's education from the perspective of the Qur'an, Surah Luqman (31) verses 12 to 19, with an analysis of the interpretation of al-qurthubi, interpretation of Ibn Kathir, interpretation of fi zhilalil Qur'an and interpretation of al-munir. The results of the study show that based on the Qur'an, the role of fathers in children's education is very important and strategic for building the future civilization of the people.

Abstract

This article examines the da'wah strategy applied by KH. Abdullah Syafi'i, through the teaching of the book Aqidatul Mujmalah in his majelis taklim, focused on teaching methods, socio-religious impacts, and their relevance in the context of contemporary da'wah. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method involving participatory observation, in-depth interviews with Ustaz and worshippers, and documentation analysis in the form of teaching recordings and related materials. The results of the study revealed that KH. Abdullah Shafi'i combines teaching classical books with the practice of dhikr and dialogical-interactive methods, creating a da'wah approach that strengthens not only the intellectual but also spiritual aspects of the congregation. The impact can be seen in three main aspects: increasing the understanding of the faith, strengthening faith through internalizing monotheistic values, and community social development through religious and social activities. The relevance of this da'wah strategy is increasingly seen in modern da'wah, where adaptation to digital technology and social media is the key to expanding the reach of Islamic teachings. This article makes theoretical and practical contributions to developing a contextual, adaptive, and effective model of Islamic da'wah. It offers insights for scholars and academics to combine classical traditions with modern innovations in spreading Islamic values. This study recommends a follow-up study on adapting classical da'wah methods to face the challenges of globalization and modernization.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation and impact of a Pesantren Kilat (short-term Islamic boarding school) program specifically designed for married couples, with a focus on character building and Islamic manners (adab). Conducted over a one-week intensive period at a religious educational institution, the program aimed to instill values of patience, respect, effective communication, and emotional maturity in family life. The study found that participants experienced significant improvements in their understanding of marital roles, self-awareness regarding behavior, and conflict resolution. Activities such as reflective discussions, simulations, and spiritual learning were effective in strengthening moral character and enhancing relational harmony between spouses. The research emphasizes that character education integrated with Islamic values not only improves individual conduct but also contributes to a more harmonious household. The program demonstrated that a values-based approach to marriage education can serve as a foundation for cultivating strong, respectful, and emotionally intelligent family relationships. These findings support the notion that moral development within the context of Islamic boarding education is a vital strategy in reinforcing marital stability and societal well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) and External Quality Assurance System (SPME) in higher education environments, and the extent to which its implementation is in line with the National Higher Education Standards (SN-DIKTI). The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with an observational and descriptive approach to the quality process and policies at the study program and institutional levels. The results of the study show that many universities implement SPMI as part of their preparation for external accreditation (SPME) by BAN-PT or LAM. However, after obtaining accreditation, the implementation of internal quality evaluation activities such as Internal Quality Evaluation (EMI) and Internal Quality Audit (AMI) are often delayed or even ignored. This finding indicates a gap between the technical implementation of SPMI and its main objective, namely sustainable quality culture. Therefore, a commitment from higher education institutions is needed to build a systematic and consistent quality culture as part of good governance and continuous improvement of the quality of academic and non-academic services.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the implementation of character education within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum as practiced in modern pesantren and boarding school pesantren. The Merdeka Curriculum was developed as a response to 21st-century educational challenges, emphasizing the Pancasila Student Profile, which consists of six key dimensions: faith and piety, global diversity, cooperation, independence, critical reasoning, and creativity. Character education is embedded in various subjects, particularly Religious Education and Civic Education, and reinforced through school culture and habituation. Boarding school models, including pesantren-based institutions, offer a conducive environment where academic learning and character formation are integrated within a residential setting. This qualitative study employs a library research method by analyzing books, scientific journal articles, and policy documents related to character education and curriculum implementation. The study presents a comparative analysis of character education practices in modern pesantren and general boarding schools. It highlights that modern pesantren emphasize spiritual and moral values through religious-based habituation and kyai leadership, while boarding schools implement structured, programmatic approaches to foster discipline and personal development. The synthesis of both models offers valuable insights for strengthening character education in line with the holistic goals of the Merdeka Curriculum.
