Jurnal Riset Pendidikan Dasar Dan Karakter merupakan jurnal yang bergerak di bidang penelitian bidang pendidikan dasar yang mengakomodir pengintegrasian nilai-nilai karakter dalam setiap aktivitas publikasi. Jurnal Riset Pendidikan Dasar dan Karakter diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun, yaitu pada bulan Februari dan Agustus. Jurnal Riset Pendidikan Dasar dan karakter merupakan publikasi ilmiah yang bertujuan menyebarluaskan hasil-hasil penelitian Dosen dan Mahasiswa di bidang Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, serta tenaga pendidik di lingkup Sekolah Dasar/MI dan Pendidikan Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. Ruang Lingkup Riset meliputi bidang: Matematika SD, Pembelajaran IPA di SD, PKn SD, Pembelajaran IPS di SD, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris, PAUD (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini), serta berbagai Inovasi Pembelajaran yang disarankan tetap mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter dalam setiap publikasi.

Abstract

This research is based on problems identified in Grade V at MIN 5 Pesisir Selatan, where the learning modules used were less engaging and did not implement any specific learning model. In addition, teachers' limited ability to design and develop modules has led to low module usage among students. This study aims to develop a Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based module for integrated thematic learning. The development model used is the 4-D model, which consists of the stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data collection techniques involved validation sheets assessed by experts in content, language, and design. The validation results indicate that the developed PBL-based module is valid. This is supported by validation scores from content experts of 91.9% and 96.4% (very valid), from the language expert 86.1% (valid), and from the design expert 88.46% (valid).

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of instructional media used by teachers in the learning process. The main objective is to develop an animated video-based thematic learning media for fourth-grade elementary students. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The trial was conducted on nine fourth-grade students. Instruments used include validation sheets, practicality questionnaires for teachers and students, and effectiveness tests using daily assessment items. Validation results showed the animated video media was highly valid, with scores of 91% from the design expert, 100% from the content expert, and 97% from the language expert, with an overall average of 96%. The practicality score was 94% from teachers and 89% from students, both categorized as very practical. The effectiveness score was 89%, indicating high effectiveness. Therefore, the developed animated video media is highly valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the widespread use of online games among various age groups, from children to adults. The engaging features and strategies in these games have led some students to secretly bring their phones to school to continue unfinished gameplay. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method to describe the research object based on collected data. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The hypothesis test results showed that the t-value was greater than the t-table value (4.784 > 1.987), indicating a significant influence of online game usage on social behavior. The significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 further supports this finding. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of online games has an impact on students’ social behavior.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the suboptimal use of audiovisual media in schools, which has not effectively motivated students. The media used were mostly downloaded YouTube videos, which did not enhance students’ creativity and active learning. Therefore, an audiovisual learning media based on the Discovery Learning model was developed for fourth-grade thematic learning at SDN 12 Sungai Liku, focusing on Theme 4, Sub-theme 1, Lessons 1, 2, and 3. This study employed a research and development (R&D) approach using the 4-D model (define, design, develop, disseminate). Instruments used included validation sheets and questionnaires for teacher and student responses. Validation results showed high validity: content (84.32%), design (96.87%), and language (89.28%). Teacher responses indicated a practicality level of 91% (very practical), while student responses reached 72% (practical). Thus, the developed audiovisual media is appropriate for use in integrated thematic learning for fourth-grade elementary students.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of mind mapping in science learning at a high-grade primary school in Ngawi sub-district. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the extent to which the use of mind mapping can improve students' understanding of science concepts. The research methods used include construct validity test, Lawshe's CVR, reliability test with Cronbach's alpha formula, and hypothesis testing using Likert scale on questionnaire. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to high school students in Ngawi District. The results showed that the use of mind mapping significantly improved students' understanding of science concepts, with a questionnaire reliability value of 0.8995 and 91% of respondents showing approval of this technique. The implication of this study is that mind mapping can be an effective tool in improving students' interaction with science learning materials, through visual representations that strengthen concept understanding.

Abstract

This research examines the application of the Ulul Albab concept in Qur'an-based character education in elementary schools. Ulul Albab refers to individuals with a balance of intellectual, spiritual, and emotional intelligence. This research method is a literature review that analyzes various sources related to the concept of Ulul Albab and Islamic character education. The results showed that this concept can be integrated in the curriculum through a holistic approach and Qur'anic values, although there are challenges such as limited resources and variations in concept understanding. However, there are opportunities for development through comprehensive teaching materials, cooperation between schools, and teacher training. Ulul Albab-based character education has the potential to strengthen students' character building according to Islamic values.

Abstract

This writing is motivated by educators in the integrated thematic learning process that has not been fully implemented. The purpose of this paper is to describe the improvement of the thematic integrated learning process using the Problem based learning (PBL) model assisted by video media at SDN 39 Pasar Gompong, Pesisir Selatan Regency.This type of writing is Class Action Writing (CAR), using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The subjects of this writing are writers (practitioners), educators (observers) and fourth grade students at SDN 39 Pasar Gompong, Pesisir Selatan Regency, totaling 16 people. The results of the writing show an increase in the integrated thematic learning process in grade IV. This increase can be seen from: the learning implementation plan (RPP) in the first cycle of the first meeting was 62.5%, in the first cycle of the second meeting it was 67.5% and in the second cycle it was 75%. The implementation of learning in the educator aspect in the first cycle was 64.28, in the first cycle the second meeting was 67.8% and in the second cycle it was 75%. The implementation of learning in the aspect of students in the first cycle was 64.2%, in the first cycle the second meeting was 67.8% and in the second cycle was 78.57%. Based on these results, it was concluded that the Problem based learning (PBL) model assisted by video media could improve the integrated thematic learning process in class IV at SDN 39 Pasar Gompong, Pesisir Selatan Regency. an average of 61.65, b) In the first cycle of the second meeting, the average score was 63.75 and c) in the second cycle of the first meeting, the average score was 89.5.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa permasalahan dimana pendidik masih banyak yang belum menggunakan media pada saat proses belajar mengajar, adapun media pembelajaran hanya menggunakan gambar yang ada pada buku peserta didik sehingga peserta didik kurang termotivasi, materi yang disampaikan kurang dipahami dan berdampak pada hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development/ R&D). Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D yang terdiri atas tahap pendefenisian (Define), tahap perancangan (Design), tahap pengembangan (Development), dan tahap penyebarluasan (Dissimination). Hasil penelitian pengembangan media Fun Thinkers Book dengan 3 orang validator, 1 orang pendidik dan 18 orang peserta didik. Penelitian menujukkan validitas media berada pada kritaria “Sangat Valid” dengan rata-rata hasil validasi sebesar 83%. Praktikalitas media berada pada kriteria “Sangat Praktis” dengan rata-rata hasil praktikalitas 93,95%. Efektivitas mendapatkan presentase 91% dengan kriteria penilaian “Sangat Efektif”. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Fun Thinkers Book untuk peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar yang peneliti kembangkan sudah valid, praktis dan efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketiadaan modul pembelajaran tematik terpadu berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) serta kurangnya keterkaitan pembelajaran dengan kehidupan sehari-hari peserta didik. Selain itu, bahan ajar yang tersedia kurang menarik karena minim ilustrasi berwarna dan terbatasnya kolom latihan, sehingga peserta didik kurang optimal dalam mengeksplorasi jawabannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan memvalidasi modul berbasis CTL menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang meliputi tahap define, design, development, dan disseminate. Hasil validasi oleh tiga dosen dan satu guru menunjukkan modul sangat valid dengan persentase kelayakan desain (92,5%), bahasa (85,7%), serta materi oleh dosen (87,5%) dan guru (92,5%). Modul juga dinyatakan sangat praktis oleh guru (93,75%) dan peserta didik (95,3%), serta efektif dengan capaian hasil belajar peserta didik di atas 98%. Dengan demikian, modul pembelajaran tematik terpadu berbasis CTL dinyatakan sangat valid, praktis, dan layak digunakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan guru kurang optimal membuka skema pembelajaran peserta didik pada awal kegiatan membaca , peserta didik sulit berkosentrasi saat membaca teks karena banyak peserta didik yang tidak menggunakan teknik membaca dengan benar, peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam menyimpulkan isi teks sehingga banyak hasil nilai keterampilan membaca peserta didik yang tidak tuntas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) terhadap Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Pada Pembelajaran Tematik Terpadu di Kelas V SD Negeri 07 Sikabu Munto Pesisir Selatan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen jenis True Experimental Design dengan rancangan posttest-only control design. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V semester I SD Negeri 7 Sikabu Munto Pesisir Selatan yang terdiri dari 2 kelas berjumlah 38 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan lembar keterampilan membaca. Setelah data terkumpul dilakukan analisis data. Berdasarkan analisis data yang diperoleh hasil pengujian terdapat data dari kelas yaitu berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Selanjtnya dilakukan uji hipotesis dengan uji-t menunjukkan thitung = 2.722 dan ttabel = 1.688. Berdasarkan pengujian thitung ˃ttabel (2.722˃1.688) maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima.
