Jurnal Riset Pendidikan Dasar Dan Karakter merupakan jurnal yang bergerak di bidang penelitian bidang pendidikan dasar yang mengakomodir pengintegrasian nilai-nilai karakter dalam setiap aktivitas publikasi. Jurnal Riset Pendidikan Dasar dan Karakter diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun, yaitu pada bulan Februari dan Agustus. Jurnal Riset Pendidikan Dasar dan karakter merupakan publikasi ilmiah yang bertujuan menyebarluaskan hasil-hasil penelitian Dosen dan Mahasiswa di bidang Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, serta tenaga pendidik di lingkup Sekolah Dasar/MI dan Pendidikan Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. Ruang Lingkup Riset meliputi bidang: Matematika SD, Pembelajaran IPA di SD, PKn SD, Pembelajaran IPS di SD, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris, PAUD (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini), serta berbagai Inovasi Pembelajaran yang disarankan tetap mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter dalam setiap publikasi.

Abstract

This study has several problems, namely te learning taught by educators is lesseffective, based on observatins there are teaching aterials in the form module teaching matrials used by student are: a) there is no problem submision, b) there is no visible hypohesis formulation, c) the color of the image used is less attractive. Based on this, a learning module with themes 2 clean air for health was developed, sub-theme 1 how the body manages clean air learning 1 and 2. This study aims to produce modules that are valid, practical, and efective. This type of research is research an evelopment (R&D) using a 4-D model (define, design, develpment, diseminate). This research was conducted i a lmited manner due to the covid-19 pandemic. Based on the result of the validation of the level of validity feasibility (3.50%), material (3.27%),and language (3.37%). The result of the practicalty test for students get an average value (90%). For learning 1 and (89.9%) for learning 2 proving that the develpment of an integated thematic learning module based on the Inquiry model is valid, practivcal, effective, and feasible to use

Abstract

This research was motivated by deficiencies in the thematic learning process for science material, it is known that in the learning process using visual learning media, it has not yet had an impact on the enthusiansm of students in participating in learning and the media used has not created a critical and active thinking attitude for students. This study aims to determine the development, validity, practicality and effectiveness of scrapbook media using the Discovery Learning model in science lessons in grade IV Elementary School. This type oresearch is R&D using a 4D model (define, design, development, and dissemination). At the dissemination strage, a trial was conducted on 10 elementery school fourth grade students. The data collection instrument in this study was in the form of a validation sheet (for material experts, linguists, and media experts). Practical instruments are in the form of a questionnaire of educators, students and effectiveness seen from student learning outcomes. The results showed that the Scrapbook media using the Discovery Learning model in science lessons on the life cyle of living things in grade IV elementry school was very valid, with a material expert validation score of 75% with a valid category, linguist validation with a score of 93,18% with a very valid category. And the average value of the overall validation is a score of 86,59% (very valid) for practicality results from 1 educator, an average score of 86,1% was obtained with the very practical assesment criteria, while for the practicality of 10 students the average score was 91.22% with very practical criteria. For the results of the effectiveness off getting an average value of 90,00% with very effective criteria. So it can be concluded that the development of scrapbook media using the Discovery Learning model in grade IV elementary School is very valid, practical, and effective

Abstract

This is not in line with the goals of national education, one of which is to form children who have noble character. The videos used by schools as learning media do not yet contain character values. Based on this, a video of Sub-theme 2 Learning Human Growth and Development, 2 and 3. The purpose of the study was developed was to produce a character-based learning video. This research method is research and development (Research and Development). The development model used is a 4-D model consisting of four stages, namely defining and designing. Development (Developmnet) and dissemination (Dissemination). Based on the research, overall the average value of validation in the aspects of design, language and material is 91.01%. Then the practicality and effectiveness stages are carried out. This practicality stage is carried out on one educator and fifteen students. The practicality of the educator's response was obtained with a score of S8.8 o in the very practical category. While the practicality of the students' responses was obtained 79.08% with practical category. In the effectiveness stage, five educators and fifteen students were conducted. The effectiveness of the teacher's response was obtained by a value of 93.06% in the very effective category, while the effectiveness of the student's response in the "Yes" response category obtained a value of 54.4% while the effectiveness of the student's response in the "No" response category obtained a value of 18%. So in this study it can be concluded that video media based on caring and affectionate characters is appropriate for use in the learning proces

Abstract

This study was motivated by the use of learning media that is still limited to printed textbooks and lacks the use of concrete media. The aim of this research is to develop a scrapbook learning media for Theme 2 “Always Save Energy”, Sub-theme 1 "Sources of Energy", Lesson 1 for Grade IV of elementary school. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4-D model (define, design, develop, disseminate). Instruments used included concept and learning objective analysis sheets, validity and practicality questionnaires, as well as pre-test and post-test questions. Validation was conducted by design, language, and material experts, resulting in a validity score of 95% (very valid). Practicality tests showed scores of 99% from teachers and 91% from students (very practical). The average pre-test score was 50.4, and the post-test score was 84.5. The t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Therefore, the developed scrapbook media is considered valid, practical, and effective in supporting the learning process.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of integrated thematic learning activity in Grade IV at SDN 05 Alang Rambah, where students were not actively involved in oral, visual, listening, and mental activities during the learning process. The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of students’ learning activities through the Bamboo Dancing model assisted by flashcard media. This research employed a classroom action research design using both qualitative and quantitative approaches, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation and documentation, using observation sheets to assess learning activities and photographic documentation. The results showed an improvement in students’ learning activities, with oral activities increasing from 64.05% to 76.56%, visual activities from 65.09% to 78.64%, listening activities from 66.14% to 79.16%, and mental activities from 67.70% to 80.20%. These findings indicate that the application of the Bamboo Dancing model assisted by flashcard media effectively improves students’ learning activities, reaching a good category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe misconceptions held by fourth-grade elementary school students regarding the concept of human sensory organs. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) method to measure students’ confidence in their answers. The subjects consisted of 11 students selected through diagnostic tests and interviews. The results showed that the highest misconception occurred in the concept of the sense of sight (eye) at 74.5%, while the lowest was in the general understanding of the human senses at 37.83%. The causes of these misconceptions stemmed from internal factors, such as associative thinking and incorrect intuition, as well as external factors, including teaching methods, textbooks, and learning context. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that misconceptions about the concept of human sensory organs are still present among fourth-grade students and require targeted instructional interventions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by problems in the dare and offline learning process. Some of these problems include educators being constrained in paying attention to the learning process, educators being constrained in providing assessments, educators being constrained in seeing developments in students' understanding, educators being unable to utilize learning media during the learning process, students being constrained in answering questions given by educators. . The aim of this research is to determine teachers' perceptions of bold and offline learning, to find out the comparison between teachers' perceptions of bold and offline learning. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research and comparative quantitative research. The results of the research explain that the teacher's perception of dare learning is very good, the Respondent Achievement Level (TCR) for the planning aspect is 89.56%, TCR for the implementation aspect is 88.89%, TCR for the evaluation aspect is 92.71%. Teachers' perceptions of offline learning are very good, TCR for the planning aspect is 90.63%, TCR for the implementation aspect is 94.21%, TCR for the evaluation aspect is 92.68%. There are differences between these two learning systems, seen from the overall average of the answers, namely bold learning got an average of 67.51, while offline learning got an average of 68.16.

Abstract

This study was motivated by issues such as students’ concentration being focused mainly at the beginning of lessons and the lack of creative and innovative learning media. Existing media at school were still simple and failed to attract students' interest. To address this, a pop-up book was developed—paper-based media that displays three-dimensional objects when opened. This media was designed for the theme “Caring for Living Beings” in Grade IV of elementary school. The research employed the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). Validation results showed that the media was highly valid in terms of design (94.2%) and content (95.4%), and fairly valid in language (77%). Practicality tests yielded 98% from teachers and 85.4% from students, categorized as very practical and practical, respectively. The effectiveness test scored 87%, indicating high effectiveness. Thus, the pop-up book media is considered very valid, practical, and effective for use in integrated thematic learning

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate instructional media based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model for integrated thematic learning, theme 3, sub-theme 2. The background of the study is that the media used in schools has not yet implemented a learning model, only presenting content and assignments without adequate illustrations, with unappealing visuals and printed on easily torn newspaper paper. This research is a type of Research and Development (R\&D) using the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The results show that the developed media received highly valid scores from experts: design (93.75%), content (90%), language (83.25%), and lesson plan (87.5%). The PBL-based media is declared highly valid and suitable for use. The implementation of the PBL model in the media stimulates students’ creative thinking skills and fosters their learning interest through a more active, contextual, and engaging learning process

Abstract

This study aims to develop an integrated thematic learning media based on video for grade 5 elementary school students. Using the R&D method with the 4D model (define, design, development, dissemination), the dissemination phase involved a trial with ten students. The research instruments included a media validation sheet and questionnaires for the practicality of both teachers and students. The validation results showed that the media was very valid, with scores of 3.75 from the design expert, 3.44 from the content expert, and 3.28 from the language expert, with an overall validation score of 3.49. The practicality score from teachers was 92% (very practical) and from students was 90% (very practical). The effectiveness score was 80% (very effective). In conclusion, the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)-based media for grade 5 elementary school students is highly valid, practical, and effective.
