The Indonesian Journal of Primary Education is a scientific periodical published twice a year (June-December) that publishes the results of original research on primary education and primary school teacher education. This journal aims to develop concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms, and methodologies within the scope of basic education and primary school teacher education including curriculum, teaching materials, media, methods, and evaluation of primary school learning. Abstract

Many researchers or teachers need more and more complete information about the evaluation of the implementation of learning or the ability measurement tools used to find out how much learning outcomes are shown by their students. In this article, it is shown how to analyze questions based on the level of difficulty and suitability of test item items; especially on HOTS (Higher-Order Thinking Skill) based test questions which were developed based on a cognitive hierarchy adopted from Bloom's taxonomy (C4, C5, C6). The analysis process was carried out based on Sumintono's (2015) explanation of the combination of standard deviation (SD) values and logit average values (Mean). Then perform the criteria for the outfit mean square (MNSQ) value, the Z-standard outfit value (ZSTD) and the point measure correlation value (Pt. Measure Corr) (Boone et al., 2014). The analysis technique was carried out through Rasch modeling assisted by the Winsteps 3.75 application. As for the grouping of difficulty levels according to Sumintono (2015), namely 1) difficult question category (logit value is greater + 1SD); 2) difficult question category (value 0.0 logit +1 SD); 3) easy question category (value 0.0 logit -1 SD); and 4) the category of questions is very easy (value less than -SD), as well as for the criteria used to measure the suitability of item items using, 1) the value of 0.5 MNSQ 1.5; 2) value -2.0 ZSTD +2.0; and 3) the value of 0.4 PT-Measure Corr 0.85, (Boone et al., 2014). The results of the analysis show that there are variations in the level of difficulty and suitability of HOTS-based test items. The item analyzed had an acceptable level of suitability and was feasible to maintain because all items met these three criteria. Thus, the collection of HOTS-based test questions is in a good category because it can identify students' various abilities in higher-order thinking with varying levels of difficulty.

Abstract

Teacher competence in teaching and learning process is needed to appropriately deliver learning content so that students and teachers can achieve learning objectives. Teachers experienced obstacles in implementing dance learning in SBdP subject in elementary schools based on interviews and documentation studies. This research aims to develop a puzzle as an instructional medium to assist teachers in overcoming obstacles to the implementation of dance learning. The puzzle development is an effort to assist teachers in overcoming the problems encountered. The puzzle designed by the researchers was combined with the make a match concept (make a pair) so that learning was not only fun, but students could deepen their understanding of the material to be delivered. This study used a design-based research method (DBR) with the Reeves (2006) model. The research began with problem identification, developing a solution prototype, carrying out an iterative process in product testing, and reflection. The product can be used optimally by adjusting the indicators for the development of instructional medium. Researchers obtained suggestions and improvements to the product developed through the validity test phase done by the validator. Based on the validity test results done by the validator and the trial to students, the puzzle design was align with the needs of instructional media and the characteristics of students. Trials to students were carried out twice with positive responses to the use of instructional media. Thus, a decent final product could be produced, namely, puzzle as an instructional medium which was based on make a match concept to help overcome obstacles to the implementation of dance learning in SBdP subject in elementary schools..

Abstract

Pendidikan seni musik merupakan salah satu bidang keilmuan yang dipelajari oleh siswa Sekolah Dasar. Seni musik salah satunya melalui kegiatan ansambel memberikan manfaat seperti memunculkan sikap bekerja sama dan harmonis antar siswa. Namun pada kenyataannya, pembelajaran ansambel dalam bidang seni musik di sekolah belum efektif. Hal tersebut diakibatkan beberapa faktor seperti belum tersedianya bahan ajar yang mudah dipahami dan dibaca. Sebagai solusi pemecahan masah, peneliti mengembangkan bahan ajar musik ansambel. Tujuan peneliti melakukan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan rancangan, kelayakan, serta implementasi bahan ajar musik ansambel untuk siswa kelas tinggi sekolah dasar di Kota Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Design Based Reseach (DBR) dengan prosedur penelitian menurut Reeves. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, Expert Judgement, Angket, dan studi dokumentasi. Penelitian menghasilkan produk bahan ajar berbentuk modul dengan judul Ansambel untuk Siswa Sekolah Dasar. Kerangka bahan ajar terdiri dari: (1) deskripsi tujuan; (2) petunjuk belajar; (3) uraian materi; dan (4) tugas atau latihan yang telah divalidasi dan direvisi sesuai saran dari para ahli. Latihan praktik dalam bahan ajar terdiri dari latihan memainkan nada sederhana dan lagu hasil aransemen. Lagu aransemen dilengkapi dengan full score dan partisi untuk memudahkan dalam membaca notasi sesuai instrumen musik yang dimainkan. Bahan ajar juga dilengkapi CD berisi instrumen musik pengiring lagu. Hasil uji coba menggambarkan bahwa bahan ajar dapat digunakan oleh siswa dan dapat membimbing siswa dalam melaksanakan kegiatan ansambel sehingga pembelajaran lebih efektif dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya variasi model pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran IPS di SD.  Guru pada umumnya hanya menggunakan metode ceramah dan metode lainnya yang tidak mengembangkan kemampuan siswa untuk berpikir kreatif dan memecahkan masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran motivasi dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran IPS siswa kelas V SD dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V di Kecamatan Moncongloe Kabupaten Maros dengan jumlah 280 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dan sampel yang terpilih  secara acak  adalah siswa UPTD SDN 201 Inpres Tammu-Tammu sebagai kelas kontrol berjumlah 30 orang dan siswa UPTD SDN 55 Pamanjengan sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 30 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui instrumen tes,  angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data hasil tes untuk mengetahui motivasi dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS dengan  menggunakan  aplikasi SPSS 22.0 melalui uji Manova yang menunjukkan bahwa hasil angket motivasi dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa mempunyai nilai sig.(tailed-2) sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari nilai signifikasi .0,05 yang berarti Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis masalah terhadap motivasi dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran IPS siswa kelas V SD di Kecamatan Moncongloe Kabupaten Maros.

Abstract

Agar siswa memiliki pemahaman yang kuat terhadap materi pelajaran yang saling terkait diperlukan alat peraga untuk materi terintegrasi dari mata pelajaran SBK, PLH, IPA dan matematika dengan menggunakan satu alat peraga yakni Maket Rumah. Alat peraga ini meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran. Siswa dapat  mengembangkan, mencurahkan, dan menuangkan ide dalam bentuk kreativitas ketika membangun desain sebuah rumah berbahan daur ulang, mempelajari materi volume bangun ruang, melakukan percobaan  rangkaian listrik. Pengembangan Maket Rumah, mengacu pada penelitian pengembangan Borg dan Hall, yang dibuat dalam 8 tahap sejak tahap awal sampai pengembangan tahap akhir. Sebelum digunakan maket rumah, pembelajaran dilakukan secara parsial. Siswa kurang terlibat secara afektif, sosial, psikomotor, dan kognitif. Setelah digunakan maket rumah dalam pembelajaran menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut: 1) siswa lebih kreatif dan semangat dalam pembelajaran, (2) siswa mempunyai pengalaman dalam mendesain maket rumah, merangkai listrik, mengukur isi limas dan balok secara langsung, (3) hasil belajar 82% tuntas KKM, (4) hasil curah pendapat siswa menyadari bahwa dalam bekerja secara kelompok perlu sikap menghargai pendapat teman walau berbeda dan tidak boleh mau menang sendiri. Hasil observasi menunjukkan siswa senang dan menikmati pembelajaran ketika mendesain maket rumah, saat aplikasi dalam pembelajaran dengan mengukur volume bangun ruang, maupun ketika merangkai rangkaian listrik.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading comprehension skills and reading motivation of students in learning Indonesian reading comprehension skills in elementary school. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Reading Workshop Learning Model on reading comprehension skills and reading motivation of fourth grade students of SDIT Al-Fityan School Gowa, Gowa Regency. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all 4th grade students of SDIT Al-Fityan School Gowa, totaling 112 students. Purposive sampling is used to determine the sample to be studied with sampling criteria based on certain considerations. The sample selected was class IV.C as the control class with 28 students and class IV. D as the experimental class with 28 students. Data collection techniques through test instruments and questionnaires. Data analysis of test results to determine students' motivation and reading comprehension skills were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis, through independent sample T-test and Manova test which showed that students' reading comprehension skills got an average pretest score of 76.11 and an average pretest score of 76.11. average posttest 89.54. The results of the independent sample T-test are Tcount = 5.562 Ttable 1.674 and the value of sig. ie 0.000 0.05. The results of students' reading motivation obtained a value of Tcount 5.648 Ttable 1.674, the value of sig. 0.000 0.05. Manova test results = 0.000 0.05, which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected,

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (higher-order thingking skill) berbasis outdoor learning untuk siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk 1) mengembangkan instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi berbasis outdoor learning di sekolah dasar.; 2) memvalidasi instrumen tes melalui validasi ahli dan validitas empiris. Validasi ahli dilakukan dengan mengkonsultasikan rancangan produk pengembangan kepada dosen ahli. Validitas empiris dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment, sedangkan penentuan reliabilitas menggunakan formula Alpha Cronbach. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design Based Research. Pengembangan model ini terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu tahap yaitu 1) identifikasi dan analisis masalah oleh peneliti dan praktisi secara kolaboratif 2) mengembangkan solusi yang didasarkan pada patokan teori, design principle yang ada dan inovasi teknologi 3) melakukan proses berulang untuk menguji dan memperbaiki solusi secara praktis 4) refleksi untuk menghasilkan design principle serta meningkatkan implementasi dari solusi secara praktisi. Hasil penelitian berupa 1) 22 butir soal kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi; 2) validasi oleh para ahli menyatakan bahwa instrumen penilaian ini layak digunakan sebagai alat penilaian, sedangkan dalam validasi empiris dinyatakan secara keseluruhan hasil dari pengujian menggunakan rumus product moment butir soal telah dinyatakan valid. Penentuan reliabilitas dengan menggunakan formula alpha Cronbach memiliki nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,935 yang dikategorikan reliabel tinggi. Hasil yang diperoleh secara keseluruhan dalam penelitian pengembangan ini bahwa instrumen penilaian kemamuan berpikir tingkat tinggi ini dikatakan valid dan reliabel sebagai bentuk penilaian.

Abstract

Inclusive education is an education program where children with special needs can participate in learning with normal children. This study aims to identify and describe the profile of the inclusive education program at SDN Sedati Agung Sidoarjo which includes teaching staff, curriculum, facilities and infrastructure and monitoring and evaluation in the school. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, with research subjects including school principals or inclusion coordinators, shadow teachers, and one special accompanying teacher. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation methods. The research instruments used were observation guidelines and interviews. The analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To test the validity of the data, the credibility test and triangulation of techniques and sources and verification were used. The results of the study show that in Sedati Agung Elementary School the profile of the Inclusive Education Program; 1) teaching staff at Sedati Agung Elementary School, 2) the curriculum used is a non-fixed curriculum to suit the character of inclusive students and will be modified every 3 months to suit the potential of children with special needs taking into account their character (characteristics) and level of intelligence, 3) Facilities and facilities to serve children with special needs include special rooms, supporting tools and books to support services for children with special needs, 4) Monev is conducted to evaluate inclusive students through collaboration with parents to inform the progress of inclusive students.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di SD banyak mengalami hambatan, hal ini disebabkan oleh kondisi siswa yang kurang motivasi belajar, sulit berkonsentrasi saat belajar sedangkan guru dihadapkan oleh kurikulum pendidikan yang menuntut berbagai kompetensi siswa dalam matematika. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah melakukan analisa penggunaan model pembelajaran terpadu connected untuk  meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang FPB dan KPK sehingga dapat meningkatan prestasi siswa agar memperoleh nilai diatas 65 dan meningkatkan persentase keberhasilan pembelajaran FPB dan KPK pada  pelajaran Matematika di kelas V SD. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas V SDN 1 Babakan, kecamatan Parungkuda kabupaten Sukabumi. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif berdasarkan  data  hasil observasi, wawancara dan test tertulis. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk memecahkan adalah model pembelajaran terpadu connected. Model connected menghubungkan satu konsep dengan konsep lain, satu topik dengan topik lain, satu keterampilan dengan keterampilan lain, bahkan ide-ide yang dipelajari dalam satu semester dengan ide-ide yang akan dipelajari pada semester berikutnya didalam satu mata pelajaran. Hasil penelitian jumlah siswa yang memperoleh nilai diatas 65 pada pra siklus sebanyak 18 orang, dengan penggunaan model connected  pada siklus I meningkat sebanyak 26 orang dan pada siklus II sebanyak 31 orang. Tingkat keberhasilan penguasaan materi pembelajaran pada pra siklus sebesar 58,06% setelah melakukan perbaikan, tingkat keberhasilan pembelajaran pada siklus I meningkat sebesar 83,87%  dan pada siklus II sebesar 100%.

Abstract

The research was conducted based on conditions that occur in the field, where students find it difficult to learn mathematics, especially the material weighs objects. This causes students not to respond to educators' questions during question-and-answer activities. In addition, digital-based learning media for these materials are not yet available. Therefore, researchers developed digital-based learning media in the form of wordwalls. The purpose of the study is to describe the analysis of the needs of digital-based learning media, the design and development of wordwall media, the feasibility of wordwall media, and the response of educators and students to the wordwall media that has been developed. The study was conducted using the ADDIE method. Data collection through observation, interviews, document studies, expert validation, as well as the response of an educator and 32 students to the developed media. The results of the analysis showed that digital-based learning media was needed, media design was carried out through wordwall and then validated by 2 experts obtaining feasible criteria with a percentage of material expert validation of 90.62% and 87.5% validation of media experts so that the developed wordwall media could be used in learning. Then the results of the questionnaire of student responses to the developed media obtained 93.82% results with very practical criteria. Thus, wordwall media on the material comparing the weight of objects in grade 1 elementary school is valid and very practical to use.
